I recently decided to check out their services, and booked a highlight and cut with Kenzie It was almost a packed house (all chairs full) when I was getting my hair done. Kenzie is a sweetie and fantastic! I usually give pretty vague descriptions, show a photo or two. I'm not one to get overly upset about results (as long as I walk out with hair below my shoulders, I'm good lol), and prefer to have the artist work their magic. She definitely has the magic!! The highlights are amazing and perfectly placed. The cut is awesome - I love that she still did long layers but in a way that I can still put my hair up or braid it and there are not pieces sticking out every-which-way. I saw Kenzie and showed her a couple inspo pics and explained a couple hair issues I have, and she got to work. She was friendly, and we had a few nice conversations, but also some non-awkward silence, which was relaxing. I didn't feel pressure to make small talk. Even though I arrived a couple minutes late, she was able to complete some foils, a toner, a cut, and a blow dry with time to spare before I had to leave to cross town to teach a yoga class, which was also greatly appreciated! I absolutely love the results - it was just what I was looking for. I'd had an emotionally draining appointment just before going in, so it was a relief in so many ways to be so pleased with the outcome and leave with more confidence and pep in my step. I had a great stylist at another place, but when she moved away, I knew I had to give Stone Fox a proper try. I remembered Jackie as being incredibly friendly and talented, but since she wasn't taking new clients, was referred to Alexis. Alexis is fantastic. Easy to talk to and she gave me just the haircut I was looking for. I get a really nice family vibe from Stone Fox. They all seem to get along but also treat their customers like family - in a good way! I love that their products are all natural and organic. I have no problem getting appointments quickly and at times that work for me. They have a super convenient parking lot, too, which is AWESOME for the East Side. I had had a bad experience previously with another stylist who razored my ends to hell, and Sarah said that we would work together to get my hair back to where it should be. And my cut was exactly what I wanted even though I had to go a bit shorter than I would have liked (to get rid of the bad razoring). Sarah and I talked through everything to try to determine what was best for me and my hair - I was a little nervous seeing someone new, but she was very patient with me and took the time that was necessary to make sure I was happy with everything. The brand of hair products that SF carries is amazing. Similar to Aveda, in that they're natural and mostly organic, but they do so much more for my hair than Aveda ever could (and one of the shampoo/conditioner types smells like Thin Mints. Ritchie was amazing- not only did he give her a beautiful haircut, he showed me and my daughter step by step how to style and fry her hair so we would have the same results at home. He also provided us with small portions of the same products he used so we could try them at home and told me to call him if we had any trouble. Though personally I've only had appointments with Tami, I've heard great things about Richie and Angela as well. The salon was recently redecorated, so in addition to getting an awesome haircut and color, you can relax in a truly beautiful space. They use Davines products which are all-natural, so that's a huge plus if you're concerned about chemicals. Overall, I can't say enough about Brio!
