Trendsetters is a great little salon. The interior is lovely, the environment is pleasant, and the stylists are very friendly. I would recommend this salon to anyone, but my recommendation rests solely on the talent and professionalism of Christy. She has done my hair a few times, and each time, I've gotten exactly what I wanted. She communicates with her clients very clearly, asking you exactly what you want and doing her best to give you just that. During my most recent visit to Christy just yesterday, I had a pretty big project for her. Another hairdresser at another salon had botched the job about a month ago, leaving me with a terrible, unflattering cut and an uneven bleach job. I put bright pink dye in my hair, so an even bleach job is important. Christy took her time going over what needed to be done, pointing out the technical errors in the other hairdresser's work, and she knew just what to do for me. The job took a while, but the end results were worth it. She fixed the bleach job, put a shine treatment through my hair, gave me a scalp massage, and gave me the most amazing reverse bob haircut. She really took the time to get all the little details done right, and I couldn't be happier with how I look. Christy is friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and a great person to spend time with. She loves her job and it shows. I highly recommend her to anyone. If you decide to go to Trendsetters, call and ask for an appointment with Christy. Gina at trendsetters has been doing my hair and my daughter's hair for years. I am so lucky to have found her. She was referred to me by a friend which is one of her clients. I was amazed at how knowledgeable she is on products, hair styles and I must say she is an expert on color. When I decided to start coloring my hair, she picked colors that match my skin tones and I am always getting complements on my hair. The colors she picked for me matched exactly my natural color when I was growing up. I learned this later when I found some old pics. I have seen her up doos and many other styles she has done for proms, weddings, and the rock a billy models. She is amazing!!! I've always done my own hair, (cuts and color) because every time I went to a salon they would make a mess of things. Christie Allard at Trendsetters has changed that attitude for me, she does an amazing job, she is like an artist and is very meticulous whether weaving a color or doing a simple bangs trim. I am now a regular salon customer for the first time in my life. I also have my nails done by Kim and she is so fun! She too does an outstanding job, she has a great selection of shellac and it stays on for weeks, until it grows out, no chipping or peeling. As for pricing, Trendsetters is very reasonable both Christie and Kims prices are very fair. And Kims nail prices are usually less than the production shops and her quality is far superior. This is the ONLY place I will get my hair done... and I live in Denver, Colorado. The people there are amazing, always go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable. I could spend hours in there just hanging out, and I love that feel of atmosphere. I have never had any complaints about my hair, and in fact, am always so amazed at how talented the stylists are. I've gotten to the point with them that when I go in and they ask me what I want to do, I just say "whatever you think" because it is always different, and always better than any idea I would have had. Gina has been my hair stylist for over ten years,she has the experience and knowledge of every product line the ever was,if I ever needed instruction on how to take care of my hair,or needed a professional consultant at MY daughters wedding,I would definately pay her to do so.She has always catered to my hair needs,even after hours hair emergencies.Trendsetters salon has that welcoming attitude and fun feel from all of the staff there,it's hard to believe the 1 star review from Judy M. if anything the bride must have put a cheap hairspray on her hair before the wedding pics nad made the dry flakes. read more

I recommend this salon to everyone I know that is looking for a great place to get a hair style. This is the only place that I will go and Theresa is an amazing stylist. I just sit down and tell her to do whatever she wants and she has never dissappointed me. Everyone that works there is so nice and makes you feel so comfortable. The owners and staff at Trendsetters are wonderful- they always listen to you, and take their time even when they are busy- (which is usually all of the time) since they are so good!! People always ask me where I get my hair done because it always looks so good. I am so excited the day of my appointment because no matter what kind of day I have had, I know I will be pampered and relaxed. My sister and I are winter visitors, and have been coming to Lake Havasu for a few years now. We had yet to find a salon that had made us happy, that is until this year! This salon has made us very happy! Theresa does my hair and Bobby does my sister's. The atmosphere is always friendly, clean, and busy (which can tell you a lot about a place)! I love Trendsetters and Aimee, I've gone to Aimee quite a few times over the years even before she was part owner of this salon. People would wait months to try and get in with her, that's how good she really is! I would go more often if I lived closer- I've never been more satisfied with a cut and color. Aimee also did my hair for my wedding 2 years ago and it was beautiful!
