This is the last stop for the SEPTA from Philly and a hub for NJ Transit and SEPTA and Amtrak trains. It's nice to see they all work together! From here it takes about 1.5 hours to New York Penn station. Seats are comfortable. No complaints. Efficient hub for getting to where you need. The train has 2 levels so you can have a nice high rise view.

I'm here for a quick visit into the city, NYC. This is my first time at this station (or any station in Jersey) and of course I made a few rookie mistakes that made me miss my train. I've been on almost every metro train in the Northeast and while they're all similar in a sense, there are a few nuances with each. So, I purposely missed the train due to my paranoia. While. I was here on time, being afraid of having my vehicle towed, I left the platform the first time and moved my car from short term parking to long term. Once in long term parking, I downloaded the app and made my way back to the train but forgot to get the zone #. These normally pop up on the app...go figure. Trying to guess zones, which didn't work BTW, I had to walk back again. Unfortunately the app doesn't take the numerical zone #'s so I asked someone what's the zone # and wildly enough, it's not a number, rather a name...you have to put in "Trenton." Whelp, that worked and while I somewhat enjoyed the unintentional exercise, I learned something new In New Jersey, zone numbers aren't actually numbers but a name. Who knew?? SMH. The 5 stars are for the customer service reps who were exceptionally helpful.

The building itself is pretty nice. You will not find a large selection of food and drinks. 0It's clean efficient and the staff is helpful. The bathrooms are cleaned, but you will definitely see all sorts of people hanging inside and outside the station, primarily towards the front of the building, swaying and nodding. Security left them alone until a shouting match over a pomeranian ensued. It was quite the circus. The trains are a bit unpredictable, as the schedule changes in am instant. It is easy to go to Philly or NYC from there.

The ticket folks are very nice and helpful. Very happy to see a lot of police officers present and preventing any bull. Everything was tidy & orderly inside, and that was cool.

Returning from the UAE and landing in Newark, I was somewhat delirious. Booked Amtrack to Philadelphia for $220. Train was late and helpful staff recommended SEPTA for $27. Only hitch was a few stops and change in Trenton. Such a good deal, I took same deal back to NYC on Saturday. Round trip $52. SEPTA train station was tidy enough and station seems relatively safe. During the ride in my car, three of the passengers were free riders and had there excuses down. It was sad seeing the ticket guy just back down and let the rouge passengers just do whatever they want. Parts of the US now people just do whatever they want with no repercussions. This creates safety issues.

The Trenton transit Center is the best option when leaving Philadelphia or the tri-state area traveling to New York Philadelphia or DC. The Trenton transit system is fairly decent as well as septa getting you places you need to go. As far as the Trenton transit Center is south sadly, it's currently housing a large population of homeless people those with mental illness. Although I haven't seen any turbulence or violent acts it still can be fearful experience for some who are not prepared for people with unpredictable personalities in today's environment. All things considered it's not a trashy transit building and the bathrooms are usable Would I go again? Yes with caution.

This was my first visit here to take an Amtrak. We were dropped off right out front. As soon as you walk in there are service counters if you need assistance. The ladies at the desk had good info on where to wait. Inside there is a small seating area to wait. There is a Dunkin and Auntie Anne's for a quick drink or snack. We sat in the waiting area before heading down to our track. There was a police officer on patrol in a small cubicle which was nice to see. Overall it was a no frills, easy to access and an easy wait. I would use this station again.

Very easy hub to transfer from Septa to NJ Transit. The employees are very helpful and accommodating. Station appears very clean. The train rates are very reasonable: Septa Light rail Is roughly $9 from Trenton to Philly

Rather surprisingly, the Trenton Transit Center is a pretty decent train station! This was fairly easy to get to, with a large drop off section up front. Around back is the taxi area, but there seemed to be one or two milling around up front to see if you need a ride. During both of my recent visits, there was always some police presence- either out front or walking around the station. You are in Trenton, so you are guaranteed to have a mix of people hanging out here. As in any train station, keep your stuff close and your wits about you. I came here on the Northeast Corridor line from Newark on Thursday evening. Arrived around 6pm and the station was quite busy with commuters, with a line of cars out front. Despite the congestion, I thought the station was easy to navigate and was able to quickly get out to my group waiting for me! Returned here on New Year's Eve to catch a train back to Newark Airport. I'm not sure if there are any ticket machine for NJ Transit- I did not see anything automated, so I jumped in line right in the front of the station. Ticket to EWR was $18, which I thought was fairly reasonable. The nicest part about leaving from Trenton is that it was the origin station for the Northeast Corridor line, which meant that the train was there 20 minutes prior to departure and I had my pick of seats! Definitely a huge plus to have the pick of seats when traveling with a gigantic suitcase!! I stopped in the bathrooms before boarding, and they were a bit dingy, but clean. Full soap dispensers and toilet paper, which is all I really ask for!

The only hallway in the whole station. You'd have to try to get lost.

Perfectly fine transit station. Serves as a stop on a number of Amtrak lines as well as the terminus for both the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor line and SEPTA's regional service to Philadelphia, so it serves as a necessary go-between for many travelers. Facilities are clean well taken care of. The station itself is in a neighborhood that requires one to remain alert, and parking after dark can be sketchy, but there is regular police presence within the station as well as around the immediate perimeter. Food choices are limited to a McDonald's, a Dunkin Donuts with a small sundries store attached and a small pizza shop. If you're starving, you can find sustenance, but you win't be impressed. There is plenty of signage, arriving and departing trains are clearly displayed and announced, and the fact that all 5 tracks are accessible from the only main hallway in the building, navigation is a breeze. All in all, the Trenton Transot Center is nothing to write home about, but you could do far worse.

Not terribly glamorous but it will help you get from Point A to Point B. Pretty decent station and it's easy to navigate.

Septa…read moredidn't offer bus service or any way to get anywhere else and the station is in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, I was able to figure out a way to get out of the situation, but I was very, very lucky. I reported it to Septa. They said yes they had a problem with the tracks, but they don't send a bus out if there's a problem. And I said so I have to rely on this station for the next two weeks on the last train, I need to do it at my own risk cause that what you're telling me and he said yes, ma'am. So use this station at your own risk. I think Septa is a company mainly for commuters who don't feel like driving into the city. They have cars for everything else. Very sad Trenton and Greater Philadelphia can do better.

Thought I would leave a review. I live in the area. This station feels much like "petticoat…read morejunction" for those who are fans of classic TV. Very old fashioned, not update, no frills. One shelter is there in case of cold weather. It's locked in the summer. Most people wait in their vehicles...parking is free. Parking is on unpaved gravel and dirt in some areas. It's fine though. I've left my vehicle there for long weekends. I had no trouble...not sure what the policy is. There is no security so it's really up to you to be on alert. It's in Ewing, which is very safe. And this area in particular is safe...school of the deaf on one side and NJ manufacturing insurance is vicinal to the station. It's the start of the west trenton line going to Philadelphia. On weekends this line used to go all the way to the airport. They did away with that, unfortunately. If you are an airport traveler, like me, my suggestion is to take this line to Jefferson station. You step off and transfer to the airport line is on the same track. Unlike 30th street station where you have to descend to the lower level and go back up to another track. There is no ticket machine so you have to get the ticket from the conductor. I've also taken the early train (5 am ish time frame). It's desolate and you may be the only traveler or among one or two others at this hour. So, stay in your car if you prefer. I never seen security. I think it would be helpful for Septa or even Ewing to have a car posted there the earliest hour. Aside from that, it's a very solid and safe station. If you do the super early train, just keep your wits about you for idiots. Hope you found this useful!
