"So... we have a caterer?" I queried as my parents assured me the food and decorations for the…read morerehearsal dinner were well in hand. "And decorations?" I asked doubtfully. And who is this person? A friend of a friend? YOU tried to speak in Spanish? OMG I hope this works out. And it did, beautifully. Carmen and her sister Elsa did all the food and the decorations for a party of about 130 with seeming ease. Elsa transformed a raw space into a fiesta! forever! event. Gorgeous colored tablecloths, centerpieces, huge paper flowers, sombreros, candelarias. The whole thing was just perfect and probably the best that place is ever gonna look. Carmen, the chef of the duo, cooked, set up, served, cleaned up and generally made everyone as happy as pigs in shit. And I dont use that very graphic phrase lightly. On the menu: small homemade corn and flour tortillas, fajita, chicken, pork asada, pork belly, gorditas, quesadillas, poblano with cream and corn (veggie), towers of trompo (marinated for days), a huge salsa bar, aguas frescas (fresh juices) of watermelon, mango, pineapple and all the serving ware included. Oh, this all cost us $20 a person & $15 a table. Your quote may be different but I was mightily impressed. It was like I walked into a portal to mexico, minus the scary drug guys and iffy food (but plus a lot of scary relatives.) It seems like that dynamic duo can handle any project you want to throw at them. And believe me, you should throw every event with them. People will be raving about it for years -- and I didnt have to lift a finger. Only a fork.

I would not recommend Karla's catering services to friends, family, or anyone planning an event…read more While the food itself was acceptable, the experience of working with Karla was one of the most stressful parts of our wedding weekend. Throughout the event, she was rude and confrontational toward our coordinator, several vendors, and even some guests. Our wedding was outdoors, and when severe weather impacted the timeline, we understandably had to push dinner service back approximately 30-45 minutes. Instead of showing professionalism or flexibility during an already stressful situation, Karla became visibly upset and disrespectful toward me because the delay meant she would need to stay longer. The most concerning issue, however, involved payment. Upon arrival at the event, she insisted that our electronic payment had never been received and demanded a large cash payment before proceeding. During our honeymoon, she repeatedly called and texted us multiple times a day demanding additional payment, despite us already having paid in full electronically. After contacting our banks and payment providers, we confirmed that the electronic payment had in fact been successfully delivered to her account the entire time. As a result, she ultimately had to return the extra cash payment because we had overpaid her. Weddings are stressful enough without having to deal with unnecessary conflict, payment disputes, and unprofessional behavior from a vendor. Of all the vendors we hired for our wedding, this is the only one we would not hire again. I strongly encourage future couples to look elsewhere.

She was so sweet and came up with the perfect menu to fit everyone's dietary needs. The food was packaged nicely, they were quick to set it all up and you could tell it was super fresh. Could not have asked for a better caterer and will definitely be using her again when I'm back in South Padre!

Watch the game, see live music, catch the fireworks; you can quite literally do that all here, plus watch the sunset too as the name implies. Parking is pretty abundant outfront and the place is very clean with a nice, open layout. The outdoor patio is dog friendly which is a plus since we never forget our furry friend. Onto the food, we ordered corn dogs with a side of french fries and their Hawaiian BBQ chicken wrap. Their corn dogs were solid as were the fries. It came out extremely hot which made it a bit difficult to eat but you can never really complain about a hot meal at the end of the day. As for the Hawaiian BBQ chicken wrap, it was absolutely fantastic. We were actually a bit blown away by how good it was since our food experience in SPI to that point was not very good, but this was downright great from the chicken to the tortilla and everything in between. On the drinks side, we ordered three: a piña colada, mango daiquiri, and banana foster's colada. All of the drinks were okay, nothing too special to note other than the fact that they didn't really feel like they had that much alcohol in them. To some that can be a good thing, but on these they just felt like they were a light pour more than so sweet you can't taste it. Other than that, our experience here at Tequila Sunset was great. Drinks were decent, food was great, and what a view. We will definitely be back whenever we're in the area.

Best Catering For Less…read more If you're looking for good healthy looking food to feed you're people at the next Pachanga, or Fiesta, try All-Occasion. "Banquetes para todo ocasion" You get chicken stuffed with cheese and ham, with steamed rice and veggies, or potato salad, or pasta! They have three types of chicken plates you can choose from all from 5.95 a person, that includes, drink and bread. There is chipotle chicken, serrano chicken, and chicken with mushrooms and gravy! They offer other plate combinations with steak and shrimp for a different price. But chicken is the more economic choice. If you have time, you can go up to the establishment, and the owner will cook you sample plates to help you decide what to buy, and you will get the whole plate for free! He will not even charge you to test! AMAZING. My three aunts and I went here to test the food on a Saturday around lunch time, they were so hungry, they all tried the food, and choose their favorites and had lunch! Not only does this catering get the job done for less, they will deliver to your establishment and sometimes if you're lucky the caterer will stay and help you serve the food. And since he knows all the portions this makes it easy on you. They provide real plating, and nice drinking glasses, along with real silverware. And don't even think about having to wash all those dishes. They pick them up dirty when you are done with your event. So stop thinking chicken with rice and beans, or brisket out of a Styrofoam plate is the way to feed a bunch of hungry people at your next event. Surprise people next time, believe this place is so professional your friends will think you spent so much more $ than you actually did. Your wallet will be singing 'money money money money, MONEY!'
