As i ride share driver i make sure their customers get from point A to point B safe. Many times i pick up their customers that have been clearly overserved. Making them responsible if their customer decided to drive and hurt someone. I providd a service to help out this bar and prevent anyone getting hurt and this establishment getting sued. I asked if i could please use the restroom bc i had been driving and dropping off their customers . Their very unprofesional security guard that was on his phone the whole time refused my entrance and insisted I pay a cover charge. I wont recomend this place to any person that rides with me and I will simply refer them somewhere else. Thanks for the clarity of how your employees are at your establishment! What a great gem for us to find. Or maybe not a gem since it's well known, but whatever. Tequila Sunset Bar & Grill is a fantastic spot to do it all. Watch the game, see live music, catch the fireworks; you can quite literally do that all here, plus watch the sunset too as the name implies. Parking is pretty abundant outfront and the place is very clean with a nice, open layout. The outdoor patio is dog friendly which is a plus since we never forget our furry friend. Onto the food, we ordered corn dogs with a side of french fries and their Hawaiian BBQ chicken wrap. Their corn dogs were solid as were the fries. It came out extremely hot which made it a bit difficult to eat but you can never really complain about a hot meal at the end of the day. As for the Hawaiian BBQ chicken wrap, it was absolutely fantastic. We were actually a bit blown away by how good it was since our food experience in SPI to that point was not very good, but this was downright great from the chicken to the tortilla and everything in between. On the drinks side, we ordered three: a piña colada, mango daiquiri, and banana foster's colada. All of the drinks were okay, nothing too special to note other than the fact that they didn't really feel like they had that much alcohol in them. To some that can be a good thing, but on these they just felt like they were a light pour more than so sweet you can't taste it. Other than that, our experience here at Tequila Sunset was great. Was in town for a conference and was on a lunch break. My buddy wanted to eat here so we came by and sat down. Location was pretty dead only about 5 people eating. Looked at the menu and ordered a classic burger with fries and a raspberry tea. The tea was way too long sweet asked for a water to mix it. Got the burger and it was better than I expected the bacon was really crispy and crunchy. Burger was a little over done but flavor was good. Fries were pretty good also. But I should have orders the onion rings they looked fantastic. Burger was a solid 5 outa 10 Fries good 5 outa 10 Tea was a 2 outa 10 all syrup I would come again read more

we ate there on July 10th and was happy with the meal. Wife and Aunt had the chicken tenders which were good, nice spice. But the ranch was too spicy for them. Look, I'm a fully gay Colorado guy who's always kept things smooth and drama‑free. I've been going to SPI every year since 1998 -- sometimes twice -- and I never skimp on making it a great trip. If I ever felt disrespected, I'd speak up without hesitation, but thankfully I've never had to. Honestly, I doubt I ever will. Guard called me a dumbass and told me I could not enter. he didnt give any more explanations (I was not even drunk, maybe had 1 or 2 drinks)... When I asked for a manager they brought another police officer and threatened to get me arrested for trespassing... No explanation given, just told me I could not enter because they did not want me in their bar... Ive been coming to SPI since 1990. Never experienced this before. both the guard and the police officer treated me like a felon. like a drunk man or a guy planning something bad. Our group All had strawberry margaritas completely lacking tequila!. Our food took a very long time to arrive and waitress was polite taking orders but could have checked on us rather than sitting by the bar. This is a great outside atmosphere right on the water with good food and drink selections. There is covered and open seating available. Our service was great and the food came out quickly. My table ordered fish tacos and various burgers. Everyone's food was good, but beware of their homemade hot sauce used for burgers, it's HOT!! Daiquiris after dinner was a great idea, and they were great! There were no food or drink specials here like most other places on the island, so the bill was a little more. Would give zero stars if I could. Hispanic male bouncer was incredibly rude and wouldn't give me his name or let me speak to a manager when I politely asked. He claimed a girl in my group was intoxicated, which is totally fine if he didn't want to let her in as they can deny service to anyone, but the disrespect and the attitude we received was not ok. Extremely entitled and wanting to deny girls just for the fun of it. We were really excited to try out this bar but left extremely disappointed. Poor business and even poorer customer service. Our server was stuck having to tend to multiple tables, and some with large groups. Yet, she managed to serve us accordingly. Love this place! We've been here twice together and loved it each time. We first came back in February and ordered a beer, a house margarita, and onion rings to start. The onion rings are huge and super good! We then ordered the chicken tender basket with fries and the shrimp basket with coleslaw. Everything was really good. They also had live music - a man playing on a guitar. We enjoyed the live music and the atmosphere, so we decided to go back when at SPI again. The second time they also had live music, the same man on a guitar, and we enjoyed it again. We also ordered the same drinks. For food, I got the shrimp basket with fries and my boyfriend got the chicken quesadilla with onion rings. Once again, the food was so good. This will be our go-to spot at SPI now. It's a cute little patio restaurant where you seat yourself on any available table. The first time we went was super packed, so it took a while for us to be helped but once we were everything was fine. The second time wasn't that packed so we were assisted right away. read more

We loved it here, until my teen daughter and her friend walked out to the golf cart to grab something and the security would not let them back in minutes after 9:30. The bartender and manager were amazing at attempting to handle the situation, even walking out with me to talk to security to explain the girls were already there, unfortunately he had no control. He was very apologetic. He explained to security the girls had been there and their food had arrived, but still no luck. Security even said, "bring their food they can eat out there". We brought their food over while we paid and security then made a big deal about the plastic baskets the food was in, even threatening to have us arrested for stealing if we handed the girls their food!!!! What were they supposed to eat out of while sitting on the curb? I understand TABC laws and rules, respect them, but this was ridiculous, especially because the place was full of young kids and families and they stepped out briefly which management and staff confirmed. This situation made me really uncomfortable and their disregard for their own staff was frustrating. We thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, the sweet bartender, the music and the corn dogs, but the way we were treated by security and having my teen girls left in a parking lot because they ran out for a moment while waiting for their food to be delivered is unacceptable. read more

We had a very nice time. The bar is nice it has multiple large seating areas.. The food was a actually really good, I was pleasantly surprised since it's a bar but damn, it was great.. The service was ok, our waitress was not very attentive, I had to keep flagging her down to get things we needed , namely more drinks.
