He was so unpleasant to talk to I avoided it most of the two years we rented and luckily only had to do so a few times. During the buying process our realtors worked with him and through him the buyer and we had several delays due to him not getting paperwork ready in time and they complained to us several times how unhelpful he was during this process. They had worked with him before but never had the issues with communication and gettings things in on time like they did during our process.

He tricked me into thinking that he was the kind of property manager that cares about working with people and their circumstances, which was one of the reasons I chose that house. He was very hard to work with when I had to relocate home to Colorado for a few months for brain surgery (and what I was asking was not a lot, not even to end the lease.) When the lease was over, I reached out for a scanned copy of the deposit check and he never got back to me. When I followed up over a week later to ask more sternly for the copy I was entitled to, he presumptuously assumed I was asking because of roommate issues and told me to leave him out of it. He was belittling, presumptuous, rude, and unprofessional. And this is on top of his general lack of help with maintenance requests and overall unhelpful attitude with inquiries over the 2 years renting from him. I'm praying he doesn't respond to this review and attempt to gaslight me or justify his poor behavior as he's done with other reviewers here. Do not rent from him if you want to be treated respectfully or professionally.

He is frequently unavailable, and his general advice every time we worked for him or encountered an issue that needed him to step in, was to simply give more of my commission to the other agent so they could do it instead. It was ridiculous. We would run into issues getting correct information for transactions due to Jason and Vito and other staff giving inconsistent information or being generally unavailable. My lenders also disliked working with them. When I got a complaint lodged against me because an opposing agent was furious that I had left her a bad review due to her incompetent behavior throughout the transaction, Jason told me to gather all of my info to respond. Jason then, being too lazy to write the response as he is supposed to, simply dropped me as an agent because writing a 3 page response is just too much work for Jason. You see, that is what Jason does. He ignores phone calls for nearly a week, then tells you to just pay the other side off (because it's my money, not his, so he doesn't care). He lazily has you do the work while he collects his dues so he can focus on his property management company, but if he is asked to do something he doesn't have the time. I then wrote a response and was able to respond to the complaint. There are PLENTY OF OTHER 100% COMMISSION agencies out there that are cheaper and provide better support. Check those ones out. One I spoke to even remarked to me that he knows Jason and that Jason stole their entire business model.

Before we even arrived, Daniel told our realtor we were the only applicants. That turned out to be a lie -- or at least something he chose not to correct when it changed. When we got to the property, our realtor had already been standing outside for 10-20 minutes because neither lockbox code Daniel provided worked. He gave her a third code. Also didn't work. The door was finicky and when our realtor flagged this, his response was essentially: works fine for me, not my problem. We submitted our application as we walked out the door -- that's how motivated we were. Then came the silence. Our realtor had to follow up twice just to get a response. When she finally heard from Daniel on Tuesday, he said we were "pretty close" and he'd let us know what the landlord decided. That's it. Today is Thursday 4/2. We found out we didn't get the home -- not from Daniel, but because our realtor pushed for an answer. Apparently he "waited until Sunday to give everyone a fair shot" because there were "a ton of showings." That's a completely different story than the one he told on Friday. Daniel never formally processed our application to a decision. No approval. No denial. Just silence until we forced one. We had good credit and solid income, and we were strung along through a critical 4-day window while he ran an open audition he never disclosed. This cost us time, stress, and a home. Do not work with Daniel Fox or this company if your timeline actually matters.

The home was heavily infested with roaches before we moved In. Our neighbor at the time had already made it clear that the home was infested with roaches before we even moved in. Upon moving in we only saw about 2-3 cockroaches until we officially settled in by the second month before they started getting into everything. They were all in our bed, the bathroom, toilet, kitchen, furniture, food, eating utensils, shoes, clothes, EVERYTHING! My 2 year has been traumatized to the point that he's afraid of flies and everytime he sees an insect he thinks it's a roach. I had a new born at the time. I found roaches in his bottles, his clothes, his formula, his bed. It was depressing to know that we call this place home but we feel traumatized to live there. We would open the cupboards and see the roaches stuck together and my kids would start screaming . We had to throw away our food multiple times, our furniture, clothes, EVERYTHING and we still took roaches with us to our new residence. Ms Renee showed no empathy Or compassion, instead she made it seem as though it was our fault that we brought the roaches and in her own words she told me that I am lucky that the landlord did not charge me for pest control upon move out . Like seriously?. I explained to her about how traumatized my family and I are and she completely disregard my feelings and said it wasn't they're fault!. Upon leave out I paid a professional cleaner $350 to clean the home. She still charged us $150 for cleaning , and she charged us for the back door trim that was broken even though when I filled out the move in sheet I put that information on there. She also said that I was behind on two months water bill which is not accurate and she deducted it out of our deposit. Honestly! I would not recommend . we regret living there. I now have to find money to pay an exterminator at my new residence and it's very frustrating knowing that this problem wasn't ours and now it became ours. The landlord and property manager(Renee Fox) showed no compassion and do no care. I am convinced that they are racist! You live and you learn. I wrote this so someone won't have to make the same mistake that we did!

We connected through a Homes.com search--ran filters for realtors with the highest volume of buy & sell transactions over the last five years--and he was at the top of our list. We had a few referrals from our network, but Chris was incredibly responsive, and our first call was solid. Long story long, we moved to Austin around that time, and Chris was there from the very start. He's direct in the kindest sense of the word, and he 1000% loves what he does. He figured out what we liked and didn't like, but that honestly didn't matter much because we had no idea where we wanted to live. Throughout the holidays, we went into escrow--then had to pull our offer days before closing due to the inspection. Chris's response? "If you guys want to change directions, we can start looking for new properties tomorrow." This was after he spent two hours inspecting the place himself, pushing the builder to add new gutters, fix the lawn's grading, and leading the blue tape charge on 3,500 square feet. Later, he talked us through properties that looked great in person but wouldn't appraise on paper, and ultimately, he helped us land the perfect place. Frankly, the guy knows every aspect of a real estate transaction inside and out. I don't know if he's so well off that time doesn't matter, but he had to lose money on us. He over-invests, and odds are, you'll make a good friend in the process--like we did. There are a bunch of other stories that highlight Chris's dedication, the depth of his network, and how ridiculously motivated he is.
