The rubric, "You only get one chance to make a first impression," holds true for introductions to medical practices. Tri-Century Eye Care suffers in this light. Walking in to their facility after struggling to find parking in the lot in front of their building, I confronted a full house. It was SRO in the waiting room, with many patients wearing eye patches and post surgical goggles. Average age estimated at 70. My 2:00 pm appointment was a memory as I stood against a wall waiting to be called. Around 2:45 I was called to begin the preliminary vision test and dilation. I saw Dr. Gordon at 3:15. The explanation for the crowd and time waste was that there were two doctors seeing patients, most post surgery. How or why this was so was never known. It just put everyone in a bad mood; leaving the receptionist and nursing assistants to bear the brunt of the rising frustration in the house. It wasn't pretty. Still, Dr. Gordon was great once he reached me. He was mellow and friendly for such a busy day, but kudos for the patience and professionalism displayed throughout our interaction. Best of all, he told me what I hoped to hear, and I walked out with a new Rx for lenses that I intend to activate shortly. I can't say I will continue with this practice. I am not happy about the crowds of sick people and long wait without any effort to reschedule people to more convenient times. This new corporate medical factory clinic approach to medicine is not my jam. It seems antithetical to the Hippocratic Oath. 2.5,they were sure to get their copay upfront, Stars. read more

Was once a patient. Had catarac surgery by one of the best, Dr Manerreno When he was the owner of Centry eye in Bristol. That was then. Now since merging with Tri county on second street pike they are a cattle house. Often standing room only with assembly line resemblance. Appointments times are a joke. slow in fast out with obvious overbooking. insofar as qualified doctors, some are some maybe not. had really bad experience years ago at second street. no need to eloborate that three doctors there had opposing treate plan. another story. langhorne is noted by other optometrist and optomoligist as what I have described. a cattle house. glad I went to doctors affiliated with wills. read more

Terrible service. Rude doctor, rude staff. Totally incompetent. Go to Wills Eye. No communication. Doctor spends less than 5 minutes with you and doesn't give you any information. We won't be back. If I could rate them negative 100 I would. read more

First off every patient over the age of 65 is welcomed with "Medicare doesn't cover refraction and you will have to pay $47" and your co-pay. My Mom has a Medicare Advantage plan with vision coverage (Davis ) clearly listed on her card. She was only here for routine exam which is covered. I had to point this out (they seemed determined to bill under medical not Davis Vision. They even make you sign a paper stating whether you want to use medical or vision and that you can't switch to the other after making your choice. Pretty sure most of the elderly patients don't understand this and end up paying more than they should which in my opinion is unethical. Will not be back. read more

After a few years of good eye exams I sadly needed to report a change in the level of service. I went for a contact lens fitting and it's not been going well. Two rounds of trying to find a pair that works with pauses inbetween because they do not have the trial lens on site and they need to be ordered. I need to go back again because they still don't have a good pair and they have no available appts for the office I use for a month. I usually use America's best for contacts and have never had a fit issue. I have no choice but to return to this office because my insurance only covers one exam a year but I can tell you I will not be back. read more

I really enjoyed my experience coming to bristol office. Staff was super nice, and dr actually took time and answered my questions.

Staff is super kind and truly cares about your eyes. They are very efficient and makes sure your eyes get top service!

I never even made it in the see a doctor. When I made the appointment they didn't have an opening for 2 weeks, but I really needed to be seen as my prescription has changed and I've been having migraines as a result. They required a $25 deposit (which I've never had a doctor require) then called me 3 days before my appointment and informed me that my EyeMed insurance didn't cover me and I'd have to pay for everything out of pocket. If I didn't want to continue the appointment id have to call back the next day for a refund. I called EyeMed and they said I absolutely was covered. I called Century back this morning and there is no record of who I spoke with and they first told me someone would call me back in 1 to 2 days. I got upset and demanded to talk to someone else and they said that person was in a meeting but would call me back sometime today. In the mean time I called another doctor who could still get me in on Friday and verified my insurance with me over the phone and didn't require an absurd deposit (when you have to pay before seeing the doctor anyway). So I called century back and told them to cancel everything and give me my money back. I was transferred to a voicemail 3 times and finally after my 4th can spoke someone who said she would call me back with more info, but that the request for a refund had been submitted to billing. I selected this provider because they have Ophthalmology in house and my daughter has had some eye problems in the past, but after this I'll just take her down to one of the world renown pediatric eye centers in Philadelphia if she needs an evaluation. I'd rather support a local, friendly provider that works for you rather than this big eye clinic that apparently only cares about money and not patients. read more

The schedulers are always efficient and nice! Dr. Zalipsky is one of my favorite doctors and trust me- I've had plenty. He actually shows he cares, especially when I told him about a special condition, which is why I even came to this office. He answers every question thoroughly and breaks everything down for me to understand fully. I've recommended him and this office to a few friends as well as family. I'm happy I found an eye doctor I trust and will be staying with for a long time. read more

I was just at the Woodbourne office for a 3:45 appointment on 10/26. I had some questions about the frequency of routine eye exams. I cannot express how incredibly rude and short the receptionist was with me. About a month ago, I also called them on the phone and had to reschedule an appointment and the lady was incredibly rude. I really like the optometrist at this office, but I have to say recently that the administrative staff has been unbelievably rude and unprofessional when dealing with patients. My daughter was with me and we were both very uncomfortable and the lady was loud and condescending. read more

Dr Jay Patel and his office manager Jen are angels. They helped my sister get a handle on her eye problem promptly and with great kindness. I explained that she was about to be laid off and lose her insurance but needed cataracts removed before that happened. They got us seen promptly and we learned she had severe dry eye which blurred her vision so badly that she could not read. The cataracts can wait. He will perform a procedure on her right before the insurance terminates and give her back her vision and security. All the staff there were equally kind. I recommend this office highly. read more

The doctors there are nice, but their front office staff is horrible and inept. One of the most unprofessional medical practices I have ever dealt with. Not only are they are extremely difficult to schedule with, but they don't seem to communicate well with one another. I was charged $30 for contacts after they went through my insurance. I picked them up, paid for them, all was fine until i see that they sent an additional $27 to collections several months later which they NEVER told me about. They said it was an extra fee for the contacts? I have had the same insurance and ALWAYS pay $30 so this extra charge was news to me. The girl I spoke to in their Bristol office told me she didn't know, she wasn't there and that because it was sent to collections, it was out of her hands. I asked her why they didn't call me to say it was extra? She told me "we can't call everyone" for things like that..... But your fingers were QUICK to dial that collections agency huh? Don't trust them! They will tell you one thing and do another. I will never go there again. read more

My spouse went there for a glaucoma test. They were rushing because one doctor was out unexpectedly and it was a Friday morning. She was treated by, instead of eyedrops, a drenching poured the eyedrops all over her eyes and face. Both dilation drops and numbing drops were done excessively. And not by the doctor either. She complained it was burning her eyes extremely painfully and received nothing. They forgot the dilating drops and then overdosed her eyes trying to rush. Terrible experience and disgraceful that they sent a patient home with yellow stain all over her face, chest and eyes. She was sneezing coughing up yellow stained mucus for hours. Shame on the Dr and staff. We took pictures as proof of all this in case there are complications related to this mistreatment. I can't see how this office is voted best of Bucks County! I recently went for routine eye visit because I've noticed a change in my vision! I haven't had an eye exam in years and wear magnifiers to read. I felt that the staff were methodical in their care and no personal reactions to me as a patient, including Dr Patel! At end of exam, I was handed a script for glasses with no explanation and never having a eye prescription before thought I could still use magnifiers! Which I was told I needed prescription glasses ! I went to Visionworks to get glasses and the person told me about my prescription and what it meant! I felt at Century eye care that it as like you were a number in a factory moving through different parts! Not the personalized care I thought I would get at an individual office, which is not part of a chain !! read more

I was seen by Dr. Zalipsky and he was nice enough. However the staff or at least one individual in particular there lacks professionalism. The Dr. gave me a prescription for contact lenses but not for the multi focal lenses which I was interested in. Since I had made a follow up appointment for the contact lenses, I called them back and went through a whole shpiel explaining that I've already seen the dr. & he gave me a contact lens prescription but it is not for the multi focal lenses that I was interested in...what do I need to do in order to get a prescription for the multifocal lenses. The receptionist "Lori" (she refused to give me her last name) put me on hold for what seemed like forever. Already I'm getting annoyed, I don't have all day and don't appreciate their lack of respect for my time. When she got back on the phone she tells me that she's looking at my chart and that i don't have a prescription for multi-focal lenses. No kidding??? I was quiet for a moment and then patiently told her that "that's not what I'm asking". She responds with a "Well, what are you asking?" Again, I explain to her. "I already had an eye exam, I already got a prescription for contact lenses, but I am interested in the multi focal lenses; what do I need to do in order to get a prescription for the multi-focal lenses?" This receptionist proceeds to scold me, raising her voice at me like I'm a little child, telling me "Well maam, I'm not a mind reader, I'm just trying to help". I was left thinking to myself, I didn't think you were a mind reader, I simply thought you were listening when I was speaking...I guess I was wrong. I'm not a child and I will not tolerate being talked to like that. I hung up on her and called a different dr's office. Design for Vision is a lot closer and they were happy to take me and my family on. They made an appointment for me right away.
