I will start with the destination, this being the Tri-Cities Airport. This airport is a kind of quad-state airport as it serves Tennessee obviously being in Tennessee, but it's also close to the state borders of Virginia, North Carolina, and Kentucky. Kind of like how my current home airport serves both Connecticut and Massachusetts. It's also a very small airport. My dad seems to like it and so I imagine I will see this airport again, but whether or not I agree with him still has yet to be determined. This airport has just one terminal with 7 gates. Of those 7, maybe like 4 get used. The planes they had me get in were way too small for my height as I am over 6-feet tall. It makes flight super hard to sit through if I happen to have a pinched nerve on my shoulder that day. Really, those are my big knocks on this airport. I do have plenty positives to say about this though. The airport staff is friendly. Even TSA don't seem like heartless evil jerks. Also, because it's so small, TSA is actually a breeze to get through here and you can navigate this place really easily because of how straightforward it is. The interior looks nice as it looks like it had been redone in recent years. It's also not a crowded place which is good. Baggage claim isn't too bad, but because of how small the airport is, you kind of have to guess where your luggage is coming from. Also, for a small airport, parking can get really overcrowded at times, but any least the parking staff was nice. Bathrooms were okay too. At the end of the day, I think a 3 is the right rating. Does enough to function, but it's not built for the bigger planes that I would need.

I reached out to Johnny with a full afternoon itinerary that would take us around to 3 wineries in the region. Johnny pulled up at 11:30 on the DOT, his car was spotless, and he was so personable. He's born and raised in the area and had a lot of great stories to share with us on our 30 minute ride down to the vineyards. On a whim, we realized that we were passing by the woodshop of our family friends and we asked if he would mind pulling into the driveway to see if he was home, he didn't even flinch as we pulled up the gravel driveway to the little cottage-like home that was quite the deviation from the plan to the winery. To say he is flexible and accommodating would be an understatement. We are only in the area once, maybe twice a year, but my family is already floating his business card and information around their development because of how great his service is. I needed to get her to a bus station over an hour away from her location so she could make it back home to California. I first tried the usual ride hailing apps but found them to be unpredictable in fulfilling rides from that remote location which concerned me due to the necessity to be on schedule to make connections. I then turned to Yelp and used the "request quote" option to put the ride details out for bid. With a stroke of luck, Carolina Penn Transportation's owners Darrell & Tricia messaged me and offered a very competitive bid definitely inline with the competition. Darrell, in particular, stayed especially communicative throughout the process which gave me assurance. When the departure date arrived, Darrell again confirmed in the morning and his amazing driver, Tommy, arrived a half hour early in a very nice SUV so he could confirm the pickup location. Once confirmed, he moved to wait offsite stating to take your time and call him when ready. The ride was smooth and safe and upon arrival at the destination Tommy ensured my family member had all she needed and ensured her safety which I truly appreciated.
