Over the years, I had spoken to different contractors about restoring the original flooring in my home that showed a few generations of wear, aging, scratches, scuffs, etc. Each suggested I put vinyl over the wood. I never liked that idea. I recently had a serious leak in my kitchen that seriously damaged my floors to the extent of a large section being removed and other parts were swelling. I was referred Prestige by another resident who loved the results of their work. Shane got back to me instantly, stopped by right away and provided a quote the same night. The pricing was fair. Communication was high throughout the project. The team is highly skilled. They came when they said they would, took care with my home and belongings, were professional and friendly. All the work was by hand, so much hard work and detail went into the restoration. They minimized the time we had to be out of the house and worked hard to get it done in the promised timeframe. When I finally saw the product, I was instantly emotional, burst into tears, and they hugged me. I had never seen my floors so beautiful before! This was the first home improvement project I've had in a while that went perfectly. I wish I had more work for them to do, but I'll refer them forever.

After the flooring was delivered and carpeting was taken out he never showed up. He said he had phone calls and photos to keep track. The person doing the work I was informed was a 'jobber' or contractor; they did not work for the company. For such an expensive job, if the company wasn't doing the work I'd expect regular 'inspections' in person as a photo can be misleading. When the work was completed all I heard was they wanted immediate payment (no final inspection) and after seeing the final work I understood because the work was done but not to the contract and not to what I would call 'reasonable' standards. I did see the work in progress not being done as agreed, but where the owner wasn't there and the way the work was underway in a less than desirable way (and ripping it out made less sense), I didn't complain or stop the work to the contractor as I'm sure the person I was paying would have charged me again to start over. Now I have to 'fix' parts that are just not right. One specific area to highlight is the actual flooring. The owner came to the house and measured it with a laser. I know when doing the work you don't want to run out and have to stop, but he bought a significant amount in excess (two full boxes plus many additional feet) that I had to pay for (and I expect overhead) and now have flooring I don't need. If he truly knows his work I'd expect a much closer estimate or he buys back extra full boxes to show good will (based on his apparent poor estimation). He also got wood with the wrong finish. He said he'd return it but that would have made a significant delay. I guess to try to justify the mistake (it's a drastic difference between the floors), he said what he bought was better. I was not there when all the work was being done, (I was in and out roughly half the days) but don't think the homeowner should have to oversee the job to ensure it meets the contract or expected quality. One specific item I'll point out; the company's correspondence normally has a statement "Our superior quality and customer satisfaction is guaranteed!". I was not satisfied for most aspects and I definitely don't feel the work was superior quality, at best average. When I pointed out that the work didn't follow what was put in writing he came back with what I would call excuses but to me they were backward and illogical, either way, I was not satisfied and he expected payment for work not done to what he put in writing. Again, how can he 'argue' when he never set foot at the work location during any of the actual work or after completion. These are my experiences and thoughts. I was asked to provide his name to a friend in the area but will not. When working with the government years ago, I would have rated this 'Do not recommend.'.

Not as many smaller furniture pieces and very limited selection of homewares/decor compared to some of the other locations that I have been to. Staff were all very friendly. Shop was fairly well organized and easy enough to navigate. I have been shopping at Habitat ReStore (other locations) for many years now and I must say I was quite surprised by how expensive things were at this location. Prices are of course less than if you were to buy brand new but they were much more expensive than what I've seen at other locations. That said, it can't hurt to stop in and take a look for yourself (especially if you have a flexible budget to work with!).

They actually missed some spots completely with the last coat of Polly. They came back and did another coat.. which did not fix all the mistakes they made sanding. i have drops of polyurethane that did not get rolled in all over my floors and the finish is still inconsistent. Owner says they look great.. clearly he does not care about the quality of his work. it Was a total waste of time and money as I now need to have To pay someone else to come and redo their work.

They are not perfect but the owner Bill always makes things right if there is something you are not happy with. The only suggestion for new customers is to be very clear about whether you want matte or glossy floors at the beginning. The devil is in the details. I agree with other comments that they are good at matching adjacent floors and are willing to do both large (new install) or small (refinishing). I have only ever had hardwood installed so can't comment on any other materials.
