We never knew how much we needed carpeted stairs until we had kids! The new house we moved into twists and is slippery for our toddlers. Rug depot carpeted both of our staircases almost immediately after we came in and picked out our carpet choice. The service was speedy and affordable. Also, rug depot is a family owned business. The staff here are caring, helpful and honest. Chris does the installations, his father helps with carpet selection and specifications for your location and his mother works on scheduling and coordination. Together, they run a great show and really take care of their customers. We love Chris. He really helped us find the best carpet for our home, tolerated our crazy toddlers running around in the store and in our home, our barking dog :) and also installed our carpets to perfection. He even drove back to the store and rescheduled our second installation because he wanted to make sure the job was done right. He even made two carpets for us out of the leftovers from the job free of charge! A big thank you to the Rug Depot owners. I wish every store was like yours. You guys are awesome. These people really love rugs and know what they are talking about. They are patient, kind, and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure your are happy with your purchase. They even let you "borrow" rugs to see if they fit , go with your decor, etc and then if you are not happy, you can bring it back and try another one. The rugs here are beautiful. We made the trek to Rug Depot a week ago because we had purchased carpets for our stair treads online (via Amazon) and needed to exchange them for a different size. The saleswoman, Meg, showed us several options for purchasing treads right off the rack and also gave us options for having stair treads custom made from a roll of carpet. We opted to have stair treads made to our exact size specifications and also decided to have carpets for our stair landings made as well. Meg graciously honored our internet pricing on the stair treads and we picked everything up yesterday. We are very happy with the fast turnaround, affordable pricing and ability to customize to suit our needs. Empty store had no one offering help. There were a few rugs I was interested in but with bad customer service I left.

The rug depot is the best store I have ever worked with in my entire life! If you have a chance to work with Meg that's even better! I never write reviews but I had to after experiencing their amazing customer service. They worked with me during the entire process and were so kind and positive about finding the right color and carpet for our stairs. I am sorry to say that I cannot really rate the rugs I have ordered because I have yet to receive them. I placed the order February 5 and it is now March 14 and I have yet to receive the rugs. I will say Meg was very helpful when I was placing the order and I received the pads promptly, but they are sitting here collecting dust. I have not been given an explanation of what is taking so long, they are not complicated sizes--mostly pre-sized selections. I was given no warning that it would take this long. I have ordered from other online carpet sites and received their goods in a very short time. Hopefully I will be able to post that the wait was well worth it. read more
