However, today's visit has prompted me to make the slightly longer drive to Total Wines in the future for a totally (pun intended - ha!) different experience - friendly helpful service, bustling activity, tastings, seemingly happy customers, etc. Today I purchased over $500, including 6 bottles of (somewhat pricey) wine which according to all the signage would provide a 10% discount on said wine. I actually left the store and returned when I realized that I hadn't received that discount. Alas, I was told by two young saleswomen that the wine I selected was not eligible for that promotion, "only wines whose prices end in .99" (I kid you not). They asked if I wanted to return the entire order and go pick different wine that would be eligible. By that time, I was NOT happy and I managed to get out the door while maintaining my calm cool composure (LOL). I simply suggested their signage was misleading and perhaps they could improve in that regard. I told my husband when I got home that was the last time I will shop there.

Everything is fresh and in abundance. They have these cherry tomatoes called "Flavor Bombs" and are so good and sweet. Plus all the fresh herbs are amazing. Sometimes I shop here just for the produce. You can take a shortcut through the doorway into self-service coffee, nuts, candy and spices or continue to Seafood and Meats. My favorite in seafood is the Lobster in the tank and only when it's a special occasion And in the meat area, I like their pork chops, ground pork, and large hamburger patties. In the middle store I like their olive oils, with so many choices but my favorite is the Central Market Sicilian flavor. Now for the cheese and dairy my go to butter is the La Gall French Butter, so good. We like their fresh baked breads especially the Sour Dough and Naan. It's more conveniently located than Total Wine and I'd definitely do all my wine/beer/mocktail shopping here, given the choice.
