I stopped in here while our family was on vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I browsed the whiskey section primarily, but they did have a wide variety of spirits, wine, and beer. The store is well organized and clearly labeled. While there, I was able to find a bottle that was a bucket list item for me. I even had the opportunity to share which brings me great joy. Went to this spot for a wine tasting and ended up loving it. All of the staff are so welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable about the products. They made me feel so comfortable and made me want to come back again and again. I love that their store is a manageable size--unlike many other stores. It is not too large or too small either. There are a variety of wines, beers, vodkas, tequilas, rums, and other items available. Also in the back of the store they have a medium size area with a cheese and olive shop and room for seating. Every first Friday of the month they have a wine and food pairing night. You get tons of catered food from a local restaurant and wines to pair it with for just $15! It is one of the best deals in town. Most of the products the store the staff has sampled so ask away! And they are always having a tasting, so there are opportunities to sample. I was coming from Roanoke, across 114 with the intention of heading down 26 the one liquor store that I know carries Railean. Well shortly after clearing the DFW Connector construction chaos I spied Bear Creek Spirits. Even though it had the potential of cutting my ride short (beautiful day for a motorcycle ride today) I decided to check it out. The good news is that they have the white Railean I wanted. Price was good too. Very decent selection of all things alcoholic, and a co-located cheese shop too. Another fun bit was the "Virtual Bartender" (see photos). Over by the cash register is this large touch screen that can help to find drink recipes, even adding them to a "party" for automatic quantity adjustments. Results can be printed or e-mailed. It was pretty cool. Bottom line: While it looks big and new, it's actually been open about 15 months. That surprised me because it looks like they were still putting things on the shelf... Maybe it's just normal pre-weekend activities at a liquor store (especially since this seems to be the only one for a fairly large area). read more

I've been here a few times recently, only after work, and there has been a nice man that helped me find stuff and ring out. 40s heavy set guy, real nice. But recently I went during the day and felt I was walking around dodging non face-masked employees. I am at risk and should not have to deal with people like this just to buy beer. Not only that but when I checked out they pulled their masks down to talk to me... great place if you don't care about that though. read more

How is it that I'm just discovering this place?! It's a gem of a wine shop. They also have spirits, different kinds of craft beer and some great local picks. It's kinda like Disney World. Check them out on Friday nights as they have $10 flights and a great spread with a variety of cheeses, savory bites, and desserts to enjoy. And you could definitely get full here...they also put out some quesadillas, bbq sliders, and chips with salsa! Yum! Their vino selection included some wines I had not seen before in other stores so they definitely carry some one of a kind stuff. I purchased a malbec that was %10 with the $10 tasting! My sister and I ran in for a sec yesterday on the off chance they might have rosewater. We felt like we were being watched and herded out of the store. Sitting in the car, I initially thought they were maybe b2b, catering to commercial/professional bartenders; we eventually agreed they probably thought we were too young to be in the store(?) Our combined age is 77. It was an odd compliment? We laughed pretty hard. I will say they were nice about it. Really pretty, and looked well stocked, although they didn't have what we were looking for. I've been to SPECS with friends, which always feels seedy to me; this place was gorgeous, where drinking is an art form, as opposed to beer night with the buddies (there is a cheese store). The shelves are too close together, it felt pretty claustrophobic; I was afraid I might accidentally knock something over. The lighting is so low, we thought they were closed when we first walked in. I don't think I'll be back, but I'd probably recommend it to my sister in law, who has a pretty awesome home bar set up. She's cerebral. I think she'd love the place. It's a great place to go for liquor! Very clean, well laid out and easy to move around and find what you need. Love the Friday night wine tastings! For $10 you get several wine tastes along with some great little (HH type) bites that are mostly delicious. BUT this place is expensive! Bought vodka today for $27.99 and the same exact bottle was at Halls, a mile away, for $6 less. Go here for ambiance, Friday night wine tastings and in a pinch but for more selection and value, drive the extra mile to Halls. Grapevine, it's 2016, please allow liquor sales. Custom gift basket order - excellent customer service and quick response! I needed a custom gift basket delivered asap and Randy came to my rescue! I'm in VT and needed a gift delivered to a friend in Flower Mound; I found the Bear Creek shop on Yelp and emailed Randy after they had closed. He emailed me right back and then got to the early the next day to make the basket and be able to deliver it before noon. Really impressive quick service! He made my vision a reality with a gourmet basket of cheeses, meats, nuts, olives, crackers, etc and stayed within my budget while making a very full beautiful gift. I stopped in the other day to check this place out. I've driven past it a number of times wondering what they carried and how their prices compared to the place I normally buy liquor. Bear Creek is a nice, high-end looking shop. The focus seems to be more on wine than liquor, but their prices were competitive on liquor items I normally buy, if not lower than, the place I had been buying my booze in FW. Nice! Also nice that this place is a least 5 miles closer to my house. In addition to wine and spirits, they also have a cheese shop. One of the guys that works there mentioned that they have wine and cheese tastings on Saturday afternoons. Considering that this store is in a fairly affluent part of town and that they seem to specialize in the 'wine and cheese' thing, I was disappointed to find (or not find, actually) that they didn't have any vintage port (which was what I came in to buy). They only had the inexpensive, undrinkable ($20) stuff on the shelf. To be fair, the guy did say they had one bottle of a vintage tawny port in the wine room, but I was looking for ruby port. Doesn't anyone else like a nice fruit and cheese plate with port for an after dinner splurge? Regardless, this is a nice shop and I'll be back (just not for port, I guess). read more

Rude. I intended to buy several bottles of wine for a wine pull fundraiser and when I approached the counter, the two women that stood behind were not wearing face coverings. One had a mask hanging from her ear. When I asked if they were going to wear masks, the lady in the gray curly hair responded "some of us do..." and pointed to her co-worker. Why do they think they are above the law of public health? Over 200,000 people have died due to Covid. No mask, no sale. read more

I made the trip from Grapevine last Saturday night (7/30) arriving at 8:55. The employee or manager met myself and 3 other would be customers who pulled in at the same time, and refused let us in, claiming it was to late. The worst part was she was EXTREMELY RUDE about it. I am somewhat familiar with TABC register policy. We all tried to reason with her but she apparently had someplace else she wanted to be. I will never spend a dime there. Went to the store today on my way to a wedding. The first gentleman was very kind help me find what I needed. I got up to the counter and the bald man with a goatee said I was being rude stating i dropped my id on the counter. He tried to embarrass me in front of other customers. I'm not sure who this bald man was but if he is an employee he needs to be reprimanded and if the owner shame on you. Hope is was not drinking... This is not your regular liquor store. It is beautifully decorated plus there is amazing art work through out.. I was shocked when I saw the variety of wines and fine cheeses. Much more than you expect. It is a nice surprise. read more
