This store is one of a kind. Since moving to the area a year ago I've visited over a dozen liquor store trying to find the right mom and pop store to give the bulk of my business to. From the outside I did not expect this to be the winner... it's connected to a gas station. Boy was I wrong! I was greeted at the door and shown to the bourbons by the owner. He asked about what I liked and pointed me to several bottles he recommended based on my preferences. Then another employee came up to join the conversation. He then offered me a taste of a few things. I sampled 4-5 different whiskeys. He explained the stories behind each of them. Then he showed me their store picks and let me sample them. They also have a rewards program for loyal customers. I joined and will be giving most of my liquor business to them from now on. This means I will be driving by 5 other stores more conveniently located in order to get to them. But I'm more than happy to do it. read more

Compact liquor store with above average staff in terms of being friendly and helpful. Nice selection of whiskey including several decent Ryes. Like any place some bottles are a competitive price others can be 15-20 percent higher than at other local shops. It pays to shop around. I set a bottle of Woodford Reserve at the counter to look around some more. When I checked out the attendant had exchanged it for a boxed bottle that came with a nice bar glass. Very nice! read more

I saw them on Yelp and decided to stop in. I had been going to another liquor store farther down the road. With the construction and traffic it was such a hassle. Mirage was easy to get to and since I shop during lunch I had time left to actually get lunch. I was greeted by a very friendly man, possibly the owner, and he was very helpful. I like the layout of the store it reminded me of stores back home on the East Coast. I prefer just that - a LIQUOR store. Because I can get beer and wine anywhere. I complimented the cashier (owner?) and he was so pleased he put 2 stemless wine cups in my bag for free! Prices were not higher than any other place I've gone and I don't dwell on price because I'm looking for convenience, selection with friendly customer service. Mirage checks all those boxes for me. I had called Fossil Creek and they were going to charge me $70 more. We went in and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. It was my first time visiting this liquor store and might not be the last time. I have seen this place before as I drove by quite often in the past and decided to come give this place a try after seeing good reviews. My first experience here was ok- I'm not disappointed; I'm not very satisfied. I was going in to get the Fireball Whiskey which is what I want and what I usually drink, but I wanted to try something else. The younger worker there did gave me few samples to try (rum, vodka and bourbon). It did take me a little while to make decision as I'm not big on vodka and the rum is expensive where the fireball is the cheapest. I grabbed the bottle/glass of fireball and was going to head to checkout, but the younger worker stopped me by saying "No way! You're getting the same thing?" I seriously was not expecting that but decided not to make a scene, so I grabbed the Vodka to check out and left. I will say that there are more discounts and have cheaper drinks than Goody Goods, but I do not think the workers should force the customer to buy what they want them to buy. read more

The two gentleman that run the store are very helpful and knowledgable about their product AND they they will let you sample most things to help you make your decision. They have better deals than Goody Goody down the street, and I had the pleasure of chatting with William about the different scotches that we shared an appreciation for.
