The workers quickly signed us in, and the triage nurses promptly documented the details of my husband's health issues on each visit. As we waited in the ER, he was taken for tests and had blood drawn by workers who were part of an organized team. The nurses and doctors were attentive and knowledgeable. Even the workers who cleaned the rooms were cheerful and efficient. During one trip, William Clark took the time to share more information about my husband's health issues than my husband's past cardiologists ever did. On another visit, Dr. Valdez, Lupe (the Health Coordinator), and the two virtual nurses went ABOVE and BEYOND in an attempt to connect my husband with better health care once we left YRMC -East. Their enthusiasm and need to provide the best care for my husband was heartwarming which relieved so much of our stress and gave us hope! Additionally, all the nurses/assistants took excellent care of my dad while he anxiously awaited his surgery, even keeping a smile on his face. They communicated throughout the procedure, and the recovery nurse, Cathy, was incredible. We are from Phoenix and would not go anywhere else in the State for heart surgery than Yavapi with Dr. Tibi and the hospital staff.

Urgent Care is a misnomer, as it isn't urgent and they do not care. NextCare is accurate, as you should just go to the next care facility. After providing my information to them I started getting spam/scam texts and calls. Pretty sure they're selling your contact information. Don't bother coming here, you're better off injured. Edit: the next day their manager calls me and tries to accuse the front desk of doing something wrong by recommending me medical care. The staff at location are fine. They helped. The issue is clearly with management considering they oversee 5 locations and have next to no staff. The staff that are here are doing what they can to compensate for the failures of management. Management cares more about business than medical care, and I imagine thats why the staff who care leave this location.

At first, he seemed confused as to why I was there but finally figured I needed a monitor which, they arranged, and he also prescribed a TEE procedure that he did not do in his office. His office supposedly contacted the hospital to arrange. The hospital said it was unusual that a cardiologist wouldn't do this procedure himself and said they would have to contact other cardiologists to try to arrange. Never heard back after repeated contacts to both Gordon's office and the hospital. As for the heart monitor, I returned it per their instructions. However, I never received the results. I contacted Gordon's office numerous times for the results and my Primary Care Doctor tried at least 2 different times with no results. However, Gordon's office was very punctual in billing me and demanding payment for the amount the insurance companies did not cover, even though they did not give me the test results. My advice, look elsewhere for a Cardiologist.

The hospital staff, nurses, doctors, nurse assistants and the therapy staff were very efficient and friendly and knowledgeable of my condition and needs. I had a single bed room and it was very comfortable with a large bathroom. Their plan is to get you up and moving. The dining room food was good with many choices plus they are informed of each patients dietary restrictions. The staff if very friendly and helpful to your needs. They also have an inexpensive meal program for your family who might be visiting during a meal time. Over all I would recommend this hospital if you are serious about getting back on your feet safely as soon as possible with the proper PT and OT therapy. Carol S.
