Scheduling process was easy, I was able to get an appointment for the time that worked with my schedule. The front desk MA was thorough and courteous when it came to making sure my insurance booked my return trip to the Pharmacy.  Otherwise, this visit to Nextcare was a complete disappointment. The MA that checked me in was short and rude in her responses. Especially when it came to any questions I had before my appointment. When she swabbed me for the flu and Covid test, she did so so carelessly that it hurt beyond it should have. In the end, I just let it go and chalked it up to lack of proper training and poor bedside manner. However, the practitioner herself was also unhelpful. I waited a long time to see her and then felt the time she spent with me during the appointment was rushed. I have a persistent infection with zero relief to show from my efforts of going to an urgent care. I was never even shown the results of the flu swab- this experience is a stark reminder of the importance of seeing the physical evidence of test results with my own eyes.  I am left with stuffy, painful sinus congestion, a tender swollen neck and a persistent cough that keeps me up at night and bothers me throughout the day. The over-the-counter medication I take is not working, which tells me something went overlooked and something else is truly wrong despite what I was told. I will not be returning to this Nextcare if this provider is the one seeing patients. I will be asking beforehand and I will advise anyone I know that visits this location to do the same. This experience was a true letdown and it's a shame because it's the only Nextcare in the area that I'm aware of. Any other visit I've had here has been beneficial, the staff has been helpful and courteous. For those visits, my needs were addressed appropriately. read more

Checked online and one patient ahead of me and that they took walk-in appointments. What they don't tell you is they only take one walk-in appointment per hour so when I got there they explained and asked me if I would be willing to wait almost two hours. disappointing. Came in for medical help and found they only had one doctor on staff for the day. Went through their process online. Ended up cancelling and going to ER, per the front desk's advice. I would have had to wait hours. When I called to cancel I spent several minutes listening to their ringtone before anyone picked up. Urgent Care is a misnomer, as it isn't urgent and they do not care. NextCare is accurate, as you should just go to the next care facility. After providing my information to them I started getting spam/scam texts and calls. Pretty sure they're selling your contact information. Don't bother coming here, you're better off injured. Edit: the next day their manager calls me and tries to accuse the front desk of doing something wrong by recommending me medical care. The staff at location are fine. They helped. The issue is clearly with management considering they oversee 5 locations and have next to no staff. The staff that are here are doing what they can to compensate for the failures of management. Management cares more about business than medical care, and I imagine thats why the staff who care leave this location. read more

I had an appointment but have still not seen the provider and it's been over 90 minutes. Very very poor customer service and experience. I will not be returning to this place I would give Zero stars if I could. Staff did not value me or my time and certainly did not value my appointment. I called ahead to confirm that my fiancé could receive pain management for his current condition, and was told we should come in. As it was a Saturday we did not have many options aside from the hospital which we were trying to avoid in coming here. When and before we arrived, we explained his situation multiple times; over the phone prior to coming, to the front desk, to the nurse, and again to the provider, including that he had already been in the hospital three times in three days, staying overnight the last two nights, what medications were/weren't working and what he needed per the hospital visits. After all of that, the provider simply asked what the hospital had done and then told us there was nothing she could do for him. Since absolutely no care was provided, I politely asked whether we would still be charged for the visit, especially considering I had verified beforehand that they could help over the phone before paying $200 to come in. The provider told me to speak with the front desk about it. When I politely explained the situation to the front desk, she just stared at me and responded, "So what do you want me to do about it?" I reiterated that since the provider couldn't help -- and even the nurse doing intake should have realized that as well as the incorrect information received on the phone -- we shouldn't be charged for an appointment where nothing was done. She said she would speak with the provider. She then walked to the back and started discussing the situation loudly enough for me and the entire waiting room to hear, which felt like a potential HIPAA violation. I clearly heard her say, "Yeah, I don't know what she wants from me," in a rude and dismissive tone. She and another staff member (not the provider) continued speaking disrespectfully about my request and what I "should have known" before coming in there, despite the fact that I had remained polite throughout the entire interaction -- even when the front desk staff was not. If they can't help him then it is what it is, but they not only wasted our time and money, but they acted like I was lying about calling before hand which I can clearly show my call logs , but I again wasn't trying to be confrontational even though I had two administrative employees talking to me as if I was lying and basically should have just known their policies as if I'm the problem. Better education for the staff here is needed. If staff members dislike interacting with patients this much, they should consider another profession or at least refrain from speaking that way while on the clock in front of patients. My fiancé has spent the past two nights in agonizing pain and we have been in the hospital until after 5a.m., and we are both exhausted. We came in simply trying to get him help, and this is the treatment we received. This experience was unprofessional, disheartening, and completely unacceptable. We should have been advised on the phone that they couldn't help us or by the nurse doing intake, but they wait until the provider comes in to say she can't help you so that they say the charge is to "see the provider" seeing her face walk into the room and have a 30 second conversation of us explaining the issue again and her saying she couldn't help is what we were charged for specifically. We will be disputing this and contacting higher management about this experience as well. If you want to spend $200 just to be spoken down to by the front desk and told by the doctor nothing of value then this is your spot! read more

Today my husband booked a virtual appointment, only to have the provider drop the appointment at the scheduled time. A call was placed to speak for help, and was given a number to call. When the number was called, it was "out of service". Nexcare does not have an efficient system. Wait times are outrageous, even is you get an appointment, they are not on time. This company needs an efficiency expert to get their process working better for everyone. read more

WOW! What an awful place and experience. Only took 2.5 hours for something as simple as needing anti-nausea meds. Not to mention the doctor on staff was flirting with a married nurse/MA loud enough to be heard in the exam rooms, and also complaining about how "they're never going to get out of here because of all the appointments." Like, you're right, you won't ever get out of here, because you're not even doing your job. Just come into the exam room and repeat what the MA told you so i can move on with my life. There's maybe 5 people total in the building waiting for appointments so i'm not sure why it's so difficult to just DO YOUR JOB AND NOT FLIRT WITH THE STAFF, WHO ARE MARRIED. I like to be fair. We had an 11 am appointment, we were greeted nicely, given the paperwork. Knowing we would have not gotten in at 11 but, were willing to wait until 11:30. Were called to counter at 11:24 am for insurance info. I asked her before we do that to how long is our wait. She said we have three other appointments before us. The issue I have, when I checked in 10 minutes early ,I should have been told. She knew full well they were a minimum of being one hour behind. I took my kids here for a physical and was ostracized and belittled by one of the woman staff workers and her use of racial slurs and cultural ignorance, telling my kids not to speak Spanish because they are in America and scrutinizing them for their vocabulary was entirely uncalled for and unprofessional. Took an older relative to this Urgent Care, in serious pain. Mostly empty waiting room and was told there were no appointments available for several hours. We made an appointment and left. Returned, and waited more than (90) minutes beyond the scheduled appointment time; yet no "urgent" cases entered the lobby, no crowd exited after being cared for. People were entering and making appointments in person for several days in the future. Relative exited in pain/tears. Stated NP was rude and abrupt; and spent under less than (2) minutes with her. High BP reading was not addressed. Body weight was requested versus obtained. Three prescriptions written, one of which could not be filled by the pharmacy the way it was written. Pharmacy expended efforts over ensuing days to reconcile with the NP/Urgent Care....to no avail. And, this is also where local Veterans Administration patients are authorized to go if less than Emergency Room services are needed. No way. Not sure how this can remain a viable medical practice. Since moving from California in November 2022, I have had to visit this clinic two times for injuries...one for my dogs knocking me down on a walk when another dog was loose and came running toward us and I thought my ribs were broken, and I was treated quickly and sent with a request for Xrays...the staff was excellent...the wait was a short time and the second was today 2//4/2024 for what I think is a shoulder rotator cuff injury from work and I will find out after going for an x-ray tomorrow..again, the staff was great...Destiny and Keeley was so personable, warm and efficient...so I don't understand why there aren't more 5 star reviews because so far my experiences here have been great. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early to be told no one was available - not only for the CDL exam but for any other type of medical issue. After waiting 2.5 hours I decided to to buy a Covid test on my own. Of course it's positive. After a positive Covid test, prescription for Paxlovid was sent to my pharmacy. Nextcare was apparently not aware that government subsidies had ended on this Rx. When the pharmacy said my co-pay was over $700, I tried to call Nextcare back to ask for an alternative. I called all of that afternoon (4hours) and the following morning and NEVER got an answer from a human. I had to make a second visit on the following morning to speak to a human. When I did the person was doubtful of what I said about the RX and the price. Also was ignorant of the alternative, and made dismissive statements to me about what they couldn't do. Although I have records at this office from several previous visits, personnel declined to offer me any assistance. Luckily, I have been vaccinated. dr kept telling me I was going to get fired. I was knocked out at work when a cart weighing 1800 pounds hit me in face dr said it was an abrasion on my head fainted got taken to er half my head is swollen from incedent 3 weeks later still have swelling on forehead I also dislocated and separated my shoulder told me I could lift 25 pounds with dislocated shoulder I can't told me to go back to work but not to drive after er found concussion. I almost fainted at work. this dr doesn't appear to have trauma care and the shortest wait time for me has been 2+ hours for a 5 minute with dr. I have concussion thinking is difficult. I feel dr is abusive and discriminated against me a nurse told her today she had to see me now after 2 + hour wait I feel dr is taking advantage of me with this concussion that she said was an abrasion. I had a cart weighing in at over 1000 pounds hit me I feel lucky to be alive. wish dr gave actual medical care this is a workman's comp work made me come if your injured don't come here! read more

Unbelievable!! Empty waiting room and took an hour and a half for a high school sports physical.

Went in w laceration on forehead. Had to wait for hours to be seen. Told w cost around 600.00. no ins. Asked front desk if they had some kind of cash discount program or discount told no. Saw PA who glued it. Asked staff re discount cash program. Told yes. Staff went to front desk w us to make sure front desk put us on cash discount program. Pd 300.00. told culture taken to make sure in correct antibiotics. Sd w call in 3 days. 2 days later suspected infected. Went in on 3rd day (Sunday) & asked to make appt for later that day (main office sd no appts that day. Think it's a national #). Saw second PA. Who sd should have gotten stitches 1st appt. Verified infection. Sd still waiting on culture. So continue taking antibiotics orig subscribed. Told not listed on discount program. Told od full price first day. Pa was GREAT & talked to front desk. Pa called main office to try to get refund for part of first appt since we were charged full price & not put on discount program. Told can't backdate & correct it. Wends called main # to get culture results. 29 min later on hold hung up _ went to office. Told results in but they haven't had a chance to look at it. Sd would call later that day. Asked for local office #. Sd they don't have one & have to go through national #. Sat got a call, (same day orig. antibiotics Rx finished) saying culture results show on right Rx. Only person that was helpful was 2nd appt PA. Front desk messes up our charges. Culture was worthless if it takes so long to get results. Feel it was a hassle dealing w them re appts, billing, & getting results. Plus prob rec sibpar treatment first appt. I went to this urgent care facility on September 28th as I was barely able to breath. My wife and I had been there before with pneumonia and were happy with our treatment. I have lifetime medical from State Compensation Insurance Fund and gave the tall younger attendant all the required information on my adjuster. A moment later, as I was in severe pain due to breathing problems, the attendant told me they couldn't accept my insurance. I asked why and he said they didn't accept ongoing work comp issues....whatever that means. I told him I had used the insurance for years and never had been reused. He went into the back room and talked to someone and came back saying they wouldn't accept it. I was very upset for lack of a good explanation and the fact that my pulse rate was in the 40's I immediately drove to YRMC where they glay accepted my insurance and immediately took me to emergency where they later placed a pacemaker. If I could give no stars I would. My significant other was poisoned with Freon in a work related accident & sent to the ER. He was instructed to see his Primary Care Physician the following day, but since he didn't have a PCP already Work Comp sent him to NextCare. Inhalation of a poisonous substance...you think they could do more than say "let us know if the symptoms get worse"? How about oxygen? How about an immediate referral to a specialist? I had to ask for the PA (no doctors on staff) to write a script for oxygen & he wouldn't give a referral to a specialist...probably because if they get a 2nd visit with you they become your work comp "provider"...its all about money here. It gets worse. They blame the insurance company, the insurance company blames them....no referral for over 3 weeks and we had to keep asking for it. I would rather cut my own limb off than go here again. Not happy with YRMC East's ER either. Just sayin...go to Phoenix. Sonoran Crossing Medical Center was outstanding. read more

There is no way they were backed up when I had the earliest appointment available. They kept saying, "you're next, you're next" and that was not the case. I just ended up leaving. Sister was sent here for workman's comp following workplace fall (swollen ankle). She had to stand around while front desk took information because computer was "slow". Nowhere to prop up injured ankle or given ice while waiting. Finally brought out wheelchair because we requested it. First concern was alcohol and drug test. PA felt ankle and said it was probably just a sprain. X-ray tech found it was a break and put a boot on. Did not check other ankle which was in pain. Was told by front desk person to go back to work that day because that was the law. No pain meds given, no follow up instructions given for broken ankle. Was told that they would refer to orthopedic doctor in the next 2 weeks or come back. Would not give name of doctor referred. Had to go to ER next morning and found that the X-ray disc had no description included and had to have X-rays taken again. If you get hurt, skip this "urgent care" Just go to ER. read more

Unprofessional front office. Period. The PA, Emma Nunez, was wonderful as was Amy, who took vitals. Kudos to them for their care. Everything was downhill from there. I waited 2+ hours to get a rapid strep test because the rest of the office is run SO poorly. Why does it take over 2 hours to get a patient to the exam rooms when there are only about 6-8 waiting and there are three PAs working? The numbers don't add up. Patricia at the front desk is arrogant, abrupt and rude. She does not treat incoming clients well, but her biggest failure is with phone calls. She would pick up the phone, ask them to hold, and hang up -- just so she could continue her conversation with the man in the next seat, who was equally bad. They spoke loudly, complaining incessantly about Nicole and Kristy, who apparently work at the other NextCare in PV. Badmouthing them, saying how they don't know how to do their jobs, calling Nicole a liar, and on and on. All in the hearing of those who were in the waiting room. This went on while the poor customers were still waiting on hold. I heard her tell the man how much she hated answering the phones. I timed, and know one of them waited 20 minutes while she complained and was eating snacks. She continued eating when she answered, spitting out shells (sunflower seeds?) while talking to the customer. At the end, it was obvious the customer wasn't happy, so she said than you for your feedback and hung up on them. AWFUL. I will definitely not return. The PAs at the office would be wise to open their own business in town, where folks would love to have good service. Hire good front office help and you're golden. read more
