Lisa Barbaro from grand plans was the first designer to respond to my request for information. We agreed in advance to a price for the design plan should I proceed work with her design. This was very fair. As a consultant myself, I actually suggested she charge a bit more for her service. I was impressed that she offered to visit my property so she could see firsthand the light, the soil, etc..Lisa was on time and prepared with a survey of my lot. She did not charge for this consultation, which I found to be a good first step. She spent a sufficient amount of time at my home, asking questions and gaining insight about me and my ideas and preferences. We agreed that she would provide me with a written plan for concept, a digital 2D plan and revision(s), plant lists, and care guidelines for phase one of my multi phase project. NEXT STEP- waiting for the schematic plan. Depending upon the anticipated cost vs my budget, I may proceed to implementing the project using Grand Plans or as a DYI. I reached out to the service back in October to get an estimate for snow removal. I have to be at…read morework at 7 am and I was looking for a service to clear my large driveway first thing in the morning on days in which the snow fall was heavy. I was provided with an estimate and an assurance that the driveway would be taken care of on snowy days and early. No need to call they would just do the job. FYI salt is NOT included in the snow removal and cost more than what other services charge. Come snowy season I had to text DJ virtually every time to see if the snow would be plowed because it was never done early. (he's very slow to respond). I was told that the service would be dispensed once the snow had slowed so they would not have to come back again (for another fee). Though I understood this I explained again that I needed a service to plow so that I could get to work in the morning...to no avail. There were no bills during the snow season but was hit with a large bill in March/April-ish. I would have preferred a bill with each service especially because I did not agree with a lot of charges. For example: I was charged extra because it was heavy snow fall. What?! I was told that if they had to return to plow again that I would be charged another fee. Which is totally fine. I had never been told about an upcharge for heavy snow fall. Prior to the last major snow storm I purchased a tractor. When it snowed I waited ample time for someone to arrive to plow the driveway. The service did not show up so we plowed the driveway ourselves. The company is STILL insisting I pay for this service. Granted, I should have called to cancel the service but I would like to know why I was contacted when they arrived or what they plowed? Overall, if you decide to use this service definitely get an outline of the contract of fees and service expectations. Needless to say I will not be using this service in the future.

Eddie's yard is the scourge of my neighborhood. They send 3 enormous gas powered backpack leaf…read moreblowers and a huge gas powered push blower into ONE yard. It shakes my house whether they're next door, across the street, or even further away. They don't care if it's 7 am and they will start earlier than 8 am on weekends too. They've done nothing to improve their scheduling and are in my neighborhood at houses within earshot 4 or more times a week, all year long. They make living in this extremely high property taxed neighborhood a nightmare.

They are the nicest guys, friendly, effecient, professional, you can ask them anything and the job they is do is first-rate. They do the lawn maintenance, the weeding, the gutters, the snow removal... everything my aging parents need to keep their home in tip top shape. This is especially important to me as they get older. They want to grow old in place and it is a tremendous relief to know they are not doing this manual labor on their own. If it wasn't done to their satisfaction, I fear the folks would be out there doing it themselves. It is so nice to know they are in such good hands.
