I don't usually give out 5 stars very easily, but I would give them 6 if I could! We have a vary small teardrop camper and all the RV service places around town were backlogged until a month out. I called them and they were able to work my small issue in the same day. They really know trailers, from axels, bearings, brakes to tow and hitch equipment. Their bread and butter is boat trailers, but they had the experience and knowledge to help me out and did without batting an eye. Maggie (front desk) and Jeff were super helpful, kind and treated me like I was a part of the family, doing some extra work like checking joints and functionality of all the moving parts even though they definitely didn't have to. We were in Zimmerman's care for 9 months. They helped us deal with horrific insurance issues, dock access, and even helped with a ride when we were in a bind! Even our old cranky dog likes them! My discussion with the "initial" manager at this shop, however, did not go well at all and I wasted over a week before receiving a call from the "new" manager, Cory. Wow, what a difference! I suddenly received the respect of a "customer" and a genuine apology for the delays I endured. Corey articulated a perfect plan of what was to happen next with my repair. Unknown to him, their Admin Assistant, Justyna, with her communication skills and responsiveness to all my questions as well as my discussion with John, the mechanic, and his impressive depth of knowledge, were the only two reasons I didn't walk just a few days prior to their management change. This management change, having now witnessed both versions, was a fantastic improvement for this shop and a very necessary one. The quality of work I received was excellent! My repair ranged from dismantling my starboard lower gear case POD, understanding the problem, showing me exactly why I needed a replacement, investigating excessive blow-by and fixing it without soaking me with a large or unnecessary bill, to repairing my under lights! I'm so happy with this Zimmerman shop now! This is my second service in Charleston, and I will be scheduling my work to be done here as much as possible! SV Just Breathe - Charleston SC…read more Though we bought our Beneteau Oceanis 41 from a different dealer up North, we have been using St Bart's to do some repair work since moving to Charleston 9 months ago. We had some poor work performed on the boat in NY. The techs at St Bart's were able to repair the previous work done and have done some installs of new equipment for us as well. They are all extremely knowledgeable about Beneteau boats, I believe a few of the employees worked at Beneteau in their Marion, SC production facility, and they are also on top of their game when it comes to Electronics on board the boats! When it comes time for us to move up to a new or larger boat, we will come to St. Barts without question to talk about a purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough, if your going to drop 1/4 million or more in a boat, talk to these guys, they know their boats and stand behind them!!
