First, a carburetor was replaced and after two service calls and finding out that wasn't the problem, the generator was removed and taken in to the shop. The final verdict was determined to be a blown head gasket. The employees that I dealt with, Leslie, and the two repair techs were great. Daniel and Reynaldo worked hard to get the problem resolved. However, after spending over $4000.00 I feel I should own stock in that company, or at the very least, be nominated for customer of the year! I realize that they are not a "not for profit" company, but a couple of relatively cheap parts and maybe 10 hours of labor, really??? If not for the fact that I am leaving on a long planned trip, I would have sought out a less expensive alternative. After reading other reviews I find that the I am not the only one who thinks their prices are outlandish.

They did have the permit extended for another year (this was over a month ago, April 6th 2026). They came out and took pictures on April 9th. I figured after more than a month they would have Finally completed my installation (not complete until the paperwork is done). I have emailed and called but no one answers. If you use this company (I do not suggest you do), but if you do hold the last payment until they complete all the work & paperwork. Horrible customer service!

I no what the issue is and I know what needed to be done. I thought he was going to his van to get a 40 amp breaker, instead, the guy left. So i call RCS and I ask them why the guy left without doing anything. They called me back and said you have a complaint against our technician. I said no, I gave him a $20 tip for showing up, but he left without doing anything. So get this, I just got a proposal for the job which says it will cost $1,140.00, on top of the $399 I just paid. The job is about a $300 job at most, including parts and labor. My advice is that if you aren't mechanically inclined or too old to know better, you sre the customer they are counting on. Because they know they can charge you 4 times more than what's appropriate and you don't know any better. This whole game they play is to scam naive people.
