YES 2 YEARS OF BAD WATER. he also sold my neighbor a system and they have had tons of problems. they have made a thousand excuses, sent five different people over here to try to fix it, taking equipment out then put it back in and numerous times rearranged the order of the equipment claiming that was the problem, added more and more stuff and my water still continues to have iron and arsenic and other problems. what scares me so much is this water unhealthy for me and my family? I'm preparing to file a lawsuit and I know there's other people that have had lots of problems so I think it's time we shut this place down. what I can tell you for sure is that you should not buy from these people so if you're looking for a system this is absolutely not the place to get it. run away from Les and his clown crew and get good water equipment ANYWHERE ELSE.

Very clean install, very knowledgeable technician. I have heard Culligan water softeners are difficult to restart after a power outage. The technician installed a small back up battery in the control unit that prevents the previous difficult of how to restart the unit after a power outage. This option did not exits on my previous Culligan system. The cost was actually less than buying a softener at a big box and paying a plumber to install it. I could actually install a big box water softener myself, but when I physically examined them at big boxes, all of them were flimsy compared to Culligan's unit. I'm happy with my purchase and with Culligan in Peoria, IL.

I would not recommend Culligan of Peoria. I purchased a new home in February of 2020. I contacted Culligan about a unit they were offering that had all of the features and warranty we were looking for. It was rather expensive but was worth it to me to get the features, warranty and quality I wanted. I initially rented the unit with the intent to purchase within 3 months. When I spoke to the sales person I mentioned the ability to connect to the Wi-Fi and was insured that it would and what it would cost extra to do so. When the installer arrived, he had no idea of my requests and stated that this unit doesn't connect to Wi-Fi without a separate part. I asked if he was installing that part, to which he said no. I needed to call his office. When I called, I was told that they do not install the extra part on rented units. I said okay, but it can be installed when I purchase the unit. I was reassured that once purchased, I can have this feature. I purchased the unit in May of 2020 and the sales person again reassured me I would get the extra part and what it was going to cost. Someone would be in contact with me to arrange the installation. That phone cal never happened. I have called Culligan to inquire and each time, told I would be getting a call back that never happens. I even scheduled salt deliveries with Culligan and inquired but to no avail. I have called numerous times over the course of the last year attempting to get the feature I was promised. I was finally told that the extra part I needed was obsolete and may no longer be available.... I am not happy with their sales methods, broken promises and quite frankly their "I have your money, screw you attitude". I am simply asking them to provide what was promised, and what was paid for... I have always been willing to pay extra for the additional part. I am also needing a whole home water filtration system. When I called and asked about that, I received a call back with that quote in a very timely manner. Do not waste your time with Culligan. You will be very disappointed with their broken promises, their I don't care attitude and lack of customer service.

They attempted to get a hold of me via a letter to get the meter switched out. As I stated I have communicated with this company for well over three years via email, I never received one email that my meter had to be switched out. So instead of trying to contact me via email or call them they just came out and turned off the water so I would have to call them and set an appointment up to get the meter switched. Then I was informed after they switch the meter out they're going to charge me $35 for a reconnect fee, I'm pretty sure in order to shut the meter off disconnected reconnected new one at the Waterhouse to be disconnected and reconnected anyway but since they disconnected my water to get me to call them in instead of contacted me they want to charge me $35 to reconnect my water. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE.

Rating: Terrible We…read morehad an awful experience with Reading & Son Plumbing. I highly do not recommend their services, especially in a time of emergency or need. We were going into a weekend of hosting 60 people for our Mom's 90th Birthday when our sewage drain backed up on Thursday. We didn't have use of water and toilets. Our Insurance sent the job to Reading & Son Plumbing who sent a plumber that arrived at 3:30 PM on Friday afternoon. We were very happy to see this plumber and thought we were saved - very wrong we were. The plumber spent about 20 minutes on the drain and then reported it was getting wrapped and was too difficult to clear. We had had the drain snaked about 6 weeks prior when it took the guys two hours but they got through the roots and we had draining water again, so we knew that this job could be done if someone just spent the time on it. This plumber didn't want to hear it, packed up his tools, told us to rent a porta-potty and drove away, keen to start his weekend. Obviously, you can't host a weekend of 60 guests without being able to run water so this was an urgent and very stressful situation. Insurance approved a weekend overtime plumber and Jayda, who works for Reading, told us on the phone Friday after the plumber left that she would arrange for an overtime plumber to arrive on Saturday. We were really stressed at this point. She promised she would call us back with details of who and when. After waiting Friday night and Saturday morning with no return phone call from her and a no show on a plumber we were desperate. We couldn't get a hold of anyone at Reading, no one answered the after hours phone, and the emergency call line voicemail was full so we couldn't even leave a message. We were totally cut off - it's astonishing the utter lack of concern or care from the employees at Reading & Sons. Desperate, we had arranged for a porta-potty to arrive on Saturday morning and consulted the man who dropped off the porta-potty for his recommendation of a plumber. He recommended A & B Hunter Sewer Service who 1) answered their phone 2) came within 45 minutes of being called on a Saturday morning and 3) spent the more than two hours required to snake through the tree root and unclog our drain. We are forever grateful to Sam at A & B Hunter who was kind and empathetic and did what it took to get through the root and save our Mom's 90th Birthday Party. Thank you, Sam! We recommend A&B Hunter Sewer services if you need humans who care.
