Yesterday I contacted Valley Electric about some strange electrical issues I was having. They…read morecould have sent a technician out and changed me a service call. Instead, they recognized that the issues were probably on the supply side and suggested I contact my power provider. My power provider realized that the issue was theirs. It has been temporarily fixed as a second crew will need to come out to fix it properly. I had up to 8 people working on this issue for about 8 hours. Since this is a power company issue, it is going to cost me nothing. This says a lot about Valley Electric. They could have easily made a few bucks off of me but decided to do the right thing instead and provided excellent customer service.

He took apart both it and the light switch in his quest to find out what was wrong, tested every wire, the neutral, and the sockets to see if they had power, and replaced some small plastic items that needed replacing. When the fan and lights were working again, he was still not satisfied, because there was a small rattling noise, so he unscrewed the top of it to feel around, removed a piece of paper and did something else, tightened the screws, and I'm hearing just the slight hum of the fan blades as they whirl around. He will be the one I call the next time I need an electrician.

We actually ended up hanging up on each other, but he later called me back. I decided to give him another chance despite the bad first impression. When he arrived at my house, he charged additional fees on top of what he originally quoted for the generator diagnosis. This felt very dishonest. He also claimed there was a same-day service charge, even though he had told me a different rate over the phone. In the end, the issue with my generator was never fixed, and the overall experience was very disappointing. The service felt dishonest and unprofessional, and I would not recommend this company.

Dave Brooks does not stand by his work. They came out to seal an exterior electricity meter to…read moreprevent water getting inside the circuit panel and replace a burned-out circuit breaker to the tune of almost $500. Whereas only one electrician was needed they sent two and charged me for two - guess I got to pay for the one guy's training. On the invoice they claimed to have worked three hours, but by my watch it was barely two - guess I also paid for their time to drive across town to pick up a replacement circuit breaker. To top it all off 10 days later it rained, and water got into the circuit panel again and burnt out the replacement, 10-day old circuit breaker. When I called them to request that they fix the situation I was informed, "This is not a warranty issue".
