They are involved in sports, drama, etc. and love the activities and their classes. Bethesda is solidly Christian, but it has an open enrollment (meaning, you don't have to profess Christianity to enroll). Each student does, however, have to abide by a code of conduct, which keeps a morality on campus that you will not find elsewhere. The staff and administration love the students and love God. They are there for the right reasons. There are many Christian schools out there, but this one has stayed true to God's Word. We could not be happier here.

I'm glad to have the background of Christian education (because now I actually care about my religion), but they definitely turned me off to Christianity for a few years because of their strict and superfluous rules. I still love most of the teachers at Bethesda but that horrible "steering committee" has to change!

Brownsburg High is the top-rated school in the state…read more During the summer people get into massive bidding wars to buy houses in the school district. BHS takes very good care of its students, especially those with special needs. They are very organized and caring folks. Sports here very football and basketball oriented, with the community turning out big time for these matches. Remodelling currently affecting school due to growth. Parking and pickup and drop off difficult now every day. But should improve next year.

She received a detention for using her cellphone after school hours. They claimed she broke school policy, but when I confronted the principal informing him there is no policy in the handbook saying she can't call a parent after school hours and told him she needed a tampon, his response was "I'm sorry you disagree but she is expected to complete detention".

Class sizes are small and the school offers a great selections of classes that are geared for higher education as well as vocational classes for those students interested in going that route as well. Top notch art department, FFA program and state of the art Radio and Television program can be found here. Please check this school out if moving near the district.

The track looked new, very clean, painted well, lots of parking in the front and side parking lots, plenty of seats in the grand stands, snack stand did run out of power aid drinks but had water and popcorn. School from all over central Indiana were competing here. Overall was a nice place for the event to be held, and although we had rain showers earlier in the day, none happened while at this event. Shelbyville High School has very nice athletic accomidtions for all athletes.

The Counselors are horribly equipped to manage their students. At least during my time in their…read morecare. Looking back they completely failed to help me any step of the way to graduating. They need courses on youth mental health and proper training on how to help a child build a support structure. Every single person I knew who had actual problems and needed help were failed by their staff to give them any form of help aside from a shrug of the shoulders. I hope for the future of these children things have improved in the few years since I left but I highly doubt it.

Came out here for a basketball game starting at 6pm. Easy to find with directions and the drive was…read moresmooth, not too much traffic on the highway. Even with the high windy and rainy conditions today, the drive wasn't too bad, just a shot west of Indianapolis, about a 45 minute drive from my house. The gym entrance is located in the back, door #38. The signage was conveniently visible. I love when it's easy to find. A parking lot was located near the gym entrance, which made for painless parking which is always a good thing especially with the weather conditions. Not to many cars were in the lot. There was a counter soon after entering with young ladies and a gentleman, looked like students , working the admissions. Tickets could be purchased online or at the gate, $6/person, which seems to be the average price for a regular season game. Credit/debit only for admissions. Concessions were available, but I did not purchase anything so unsure which form of tender they take. Some kids came around towards the end of the game and gave out free popcorn which was nice. The gym looked decent and well kept. It was a different setup, not being in a secluded room, being open to hallways and lockers, pretty different. They had minimal seating on the court with most of the bleachers/spectator seating upstairs which is where I viewed the game. It wasn't too high up where I felt like I was so far away, so I was happy about that.

Education was excellent preparation for high school where all excelled or are excelling. Spiritually love that all subjects taught from Biblical worldview. Teachers are dedicated. and love their students. Inter scholastic sports are competitive. All but one of my college kids were college varsity athletes in their respective sport. I pray that my local grandchildren all get the same blessing.
