Let me start off by saying that I used to generally love this place until today. Mind you, my family and I frequently dine or order out at this restaurant very often, for lunch and the evening grill items as well. Their rib sandwiches and burgers were our favorite. So today, I ordered 3 - 10 piece wings with fries, and 2 sweet teas- total of $43.00. I live 15 - 20 minutes away. And when I opened the food, the wings were soft with white, fleshy skin- no fried appearance and why was the skin white and appearance of uncooked chicken? I called the restaurant, told them my complaint and was told to send pics to the owner. The owner wanted to see the wings- I told the truth, I gave all 24 wings to the dog and the fries bc that chicken had touched them. I asked to either refund my money or redo my order correctly. The explanation was as follows- " Our wings are not battered and then fried, they are fried plain and then sauced.. with them being to go and steaming in a box for 20 mins they are going to be softer"... Real fried wings are going to be real fried wings- even if a customer gets them 20 minutes later PERIOD!!!! I am so upset because local support and loyalty mean nothing to some folks! Today I had the opportunity to speak with the owner of a local restaurant. I normally prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, and my intention in this conversation was purely constructive. As a business owner myself, I believe honest feedback--when delivered respectfully can be valuable. I shared my perspective because I want to see local businesses succeed. There are several restaurants in the Edgefield area that consistently deliver quality food and service. When I dine at places like the Pool Room or Mount Vintage, I know what to expect every time. Consistency and quality matter, especially in the restaurant industry. Unfortunately, on multiple visits to this restaurant, the food quality did not meet that same standard. I expressed this not to be disrespectful, but to offer honest customer feedback. My concern was simply that continued inconsistency in food quality can negatively impact any business long-term. I truly believe this restaurant may have been excellent in the past, and I also believe it has the potential to improve. Many diners-style restaurants serve outstanding food, and there's no reason this one couldn't as well with the right focus on quality and execution. The conversation was taken differently than I intended, which is unfortunate. Constructive criticism is part of running any business--especially in an industry where customer experience is everything. My intention was never to offend, only to offer feedback that could help the business grow. I wish the owner nothing but success, and I hope the feedback is ultimately seen for what it was: an honest effort to help. read more

Good diner food served by the friendliest staff! The "back/larger" part of the triangle serves buffet style food for lunch. The ladies behind the buffet are friendly and give you generous servings! The "front/smaller" triangle opens at 5:30 and serves diner-style food. Hamburgers, Steaks, Philly Steak, Chicken Tenders, etc. The small salad bar is fresh from the farmer's market. This is a classic American restaurant. If you were a foreign tourist and wanted a classic American restaurant this is it. Very reasonable prices, consistently good, nice salad bar, clean and funky triangle shaped building. Local favorite. A Friday night "it's payday" restaurant. I like the hamburger steak with salad, baked potato and toasted garlic roll. Quick service and a nice selection of homemade desserts that I'm always too full to try. read more

The Triangle is a hometown restaurant. During this Virus mess they are taking call in orders or orders at a window to go. No dine in dining. Their hamburgers are the best around. Worth the drive to Johnston just for a hamburger and fries. read more

Good standard daily buffet. Country fried chicken is usually a staple. Choice of meat and vegetables with prepared salads and desserts optional. Nightly, their ribeyes are my favorite, and they come with baked potato and salad. read more

First visit and last! Walked in the door went to the counter and the girl said 'what y'all need?' Not hello but 'what y'all need?' I thought I missed heard her but nope! Anyway, we realized we needed to seat ourselves. Every table dirty and the floors nasty! Only 2 customers seated and nobody cleaning. We walked out! My wife and I ate dinner here last night. Small town restaurant in a small town, right? That does not stop them from having great food. Martha and I ordered the fillet mignon steaks. They were GREAT. I had mine medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Along with the steak, I had sweet potato fries. I hate sweet potatoes, but the fried ones have a new fan. The place was packed and a little noisy, just like I like it, relaxed and friendly. We both enjoyed our dinner and will be going back. This is the perfect place for a family dinner and I highly recommend it. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for as long as I can remember. They have such amazing food and they never disappoint! Parking is a little tight and you are seated close to other tables but it provides a more personal dining experience. The best thing on their menu to me are their steaks! If you are looking for great food and equally great service you can find it at The Triangle Restaurant in Johnston, SC. So far we have had the pleasure of eating there twice and both times was wonderful. This place was recommended by a friend and I will pass it on. We have tried the steaks, shrimp, hamburger steak, and loaded baked potatoes. I have never had a steak to come off of a flat iron grill with the flavor and tenderness that these steaks possessed.
