Hubby ordered the STP Dipper with Groucho's chips, and I ordered the Reuben Variation with slaw instead of sauerkraut, and potato salad. The sandwiches were tasty and filling. We each finished the meal with a cookie to go: chocolate chip and snickerdoodle. The cookies were just the right size, soft and chewy. Currently Groucho's Deli locations are only in South and North Carolina and we will try to patronize them when in the area, but we'd be happy to see Groucho's venture farther north!

It was tasty the bread was a little smaller than normal rye bread but there was plenty of meat. I suspect they have their bread made too. Hubby got BLT and the bread same ( little small) but was mounded high with meat!

The person behind me got almost full uninterrupted service while I -- the first customer in line -- was left standing there waiting. What made it even worse was the manager's response. He defended the employee, told me she "did nothing wrong," and completely dismissed my frustration with a "have a nice evening." The issue wasn't just the wait. It was being skipped over and then treated like my frustration didn't matter. I've been there around 5 times in the last month, but after this experience, I will never return.

I'd return for a special occasion or try their brunch. Service was good.

The pictures really sold a story they didn't live up to. First it called a steakhouse but looks like a sports bar or a Waffle House. Atmosphere was weird but we looked past that. All drinks we got were either flat, nasty or we sent it back and that means lemonade (if you can call it that taste like sink water), sweet tea and I got a tequila sunrise with the OWNER didn't even know how to make but had a bar and no bartender. Ok so bomb no crab cakes, and the shrimp cocktail is grilled (read the small print because that was a shock). Then our new waitress (I don't blame her for anything because she was not properly trained) got our orders wrong. Took the orderes like 5 times then had the owner had to step in again to help. The owner was involved in everything but still clueless on how to run a restaurant. He finalized the tab way before we got our food so the wrong order couldn't be changed and he had to adjust the price with a "discount" . they had no steaks ready for our party, and just when we just had enough of the service and getting told everything we want we can't have we tried to leave. The owner then came back and said we can be accommodated and he will cut fresh steaks (which was kind! but if they weren't properly seasoned or prepped you should have just walked away from the business instead of sending terrible food!!) Next all the food was NASTY. Hard bits in rice, OLD Mac and cheese for my 2 year old daughter that was brown and crunchy. Even she wouldn't eat it and she eats cookies off the floor. all steaks had no seasoning. Like they butchered the cow out back and put in on the grill right after. Complete disappointment with all the meals even the panini. Once we had enough and didn't want to complain anymore (btw only ppl there that looked like us except for in kitchen iykyk) we just got Togo box's and decided not to waste the meat we can make something out of it later and head to McDonald's across the street. We got the bill (again it was wrong but he did try to discount it but again why finalize a wrong check...) so then he yell from The back of the restaurant cash or card, naturally we choose card. He did not tell us until we combed through the bill as to why there was an extra 13.5? Charge for a "cash adjustment" on the bill. He then said it was a change for using card which he nor the waiter (which stopped coming to our table after we had so many issues) told us about. Oveerall the experience was terrible. The owner has no clue what he's doing. The food has zero flavor but it's photogenic lol I definitely give this a 1/10 and lastly the owner said something so racist to another table while we were there. He decided to ask out loud (btw this place is small) do they need anything, the young lady assuming the mom said a fork (context family is Asian American) he then said out loud "fork? I thought you'd want chopsticks... and laughed) that's when we had enough. No tip for a 300$ table (party of 7) that barely anyone ate and this was a trip for a wedding smh. Never again read more

My Wife and Myself finally got to eat here after hearing about it from different people.... We were in Newberry and went in a little late for the lunch hour, but it worked out great....I ordered a Ribeye and my Wife ordered a Panini. The food came out quickly and my steak was perfect. My first time at Legends and I am going to be a regular! The menu had lots of great options like the chicken Parmesan (that's what I had and it was delicious), kebabs, salmon, steaks, and burgers. We also had the homemade mozzarella sticks. These were THE BEST! Our service was top notch, including a visit from the owner, Jeff, who makes you feel like family just by walking through the door. We were in town for a MLF fishing tournament and discovered this gem! About the best steak I've had in along time. Spoke with the owner several times such a nice gentleman. The best steak I have eaten this side of the Mississippi. Very very good cut of beef, outstanding flavor and the sides were delicious and plentiful. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner provided the best customer service. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Asked her if the macaroni and cheese was worth ordering-is it homemade or like the box? She replied, "we make ours homemade, people love our homemade macaroni and cheese!" Added to our order, two of us got pulled pork, and one order for half-slab of ribs, and requested please do not put sauce on the meat; she replied that they do not cook it with the sauce on it and all meat is served dry with "homemade sauce" on the side. Fried okra as second side all three orders. Take a look at the attached photographs, definitely not homemade macaroni and cheese just looking at the pictures and tasted like Velvetta. Pulled pork - drenched in sauce that and was not good. Neither of us could eat the pulled pork; it was that bad. Don't have a picture of the ribs and those were okay, fried okra was really good. Just do not appreciate dishonesty to make a dollar. We would have still ordered from here even if they said they used box macaroni and cheese- just would have tried something else. Also, ordered fried mushrooms that were excellent, but the "homemade" ranch sauce was definitely not "homemade ". And waitress said their honey mustard was also "homemade". It definitely was not. Spent way too much money on "homemade" food we trashed and ended up having to get fast food after all.
