I arrived a bit early and was greeted in a friendly manner by the staff and the salon pet-friend. Once it was my turn, I was treated like a person, not just a number. Christen took the time to discuss my options with me and talked me through the entire process. She told me what works best for my hair type (curly) and gave me great tips in keeping my hair healthy and looking great! I will definitely be back to see Christen in the future. :)

My purpose for coming in was to meet Crystal for a consultation. But I have to warn you I'm extremely impressed. She listened to me and interacted in a way that helped me through the decision process of what to do with my hair. She even spoke to me about hair extensions, even though she personally doesn't do them. She was even able to show me a real life example of what they look like, how they are done, what the upkeep would be and the costs involved with getting them as well as future upkeep. I felt so comfortable with her professionalism, knowledge and skill that I made an appointment for her to help rectify this hair mess that I now own. I will update here after my appointment. But so far this little shop seems to have a lot of pizazz and a heaping handful of skilled stylists.

You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door and they even offered a glass of wine! I think my favorite thing about this new space is that their hair washing bowls are actually comfortable. You don't feel like your neck is being strained at all. You can just sit back and relax into the hair wash. Also, the products they use smell absolutely divine. I can't help but keep smelling my hair after I leave! I also super appreciate Nicole and her service. I have scalp psoriasis and it can be embarrassing when you go to get your hair done. She is so kind and absolutely put me at ease when I told her I was having a flair up. I cannot recommend Nicole or the salon more. Decided to book with Flaunt for blowouts on the morning of the wedding. Two having blowouts done: one with long hair and one with just-above-shoulder-length layered hair. Two different stylists worked while I watched (just along for the ride, I guess). Long hair blowout looked good. Nicely done and flattering. Shorter, layered hair was quite the challenge. I watched as the stylist tried and tried, kept adding more gels and products and then tried again. Hair got stiffer and stiffer . . . and when she was done, it didn't look a whole lot different from when we walked in, other than it was plastered in place. This is not just a blow dry bar, this is a full-service salon. The majority of the customers getting blowouts here did have longer hair, or hair that was cut to one length. The layers must have really thrown the stylist off . . . which is weird. The following day, I was told it took two separate deep shampoos to get all of the junk out of her hair. Wow, if that had been me, I would have rated this place with several less stars. Only reason they get 3 stars is because the one stylist did do a nice job on the long hair, and I will give Flaunt credit for that.

I began seeing Nathan at Salon Audace back when the salon had a different name. I had actually…read morevisited a different salon where a stylist GAVE ME BANGS without asking!! Following that trauma I had my then 11-year-old son get his hair cut before giving Nathan a chance. I never regretted that decision. Never. I have had my hair cut multiple times over the years, colored a variety of shades using a variety of methods, and every time I have left the salon looking and feeling fantastic. And continued looking and feeling fantastic until my next visit. Not only is Nathan an amazing stylist but his vision for the salon is motivational. He wants to continue learning and have other stylists continue learning so that we, the clients, receive the best service possible. And it isn't just Nathan. I also had the privilege of being taken care of by Rebecca (before she got married and moved to Louisiana) and Shane. For me, Salon Audace is the gold standard of salons. I left Norman in August 2019 and I miss what I had there. I recommend their services unequivocally and without reservation.
