I had one of the best massages I have ever experienced! The student massage I received was better than treatments I have had at much more expensive places in the area. For only $37 a 60 minute session is incredibly affordable and an incredible value! The space was clean, professional and the instructors and staff were friendly. My masseur was skilled, attentive, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the session. I held an event there for my business. It is a nice campus but the AV equipment is dated and the quality of the projector was terrible. I paid premium prices and got bad reviews from my attendees on the quality of the audio visual equipment in the auditorium. I don't recommend this venue. read more

Dont waste your time here...their class website called D2L wont let you log in if you dont have your phone readily available or if you change numbers or lose your phone....it asks you just about every single time to send a verification code and you can NOT get around this even with the other options that dont actually exist. By the time you have to study or take a quiz through D2L...itll be too late because you dont get a reply back in a timely manner to figure it out...just to have it happen all over again an hour later, youll waste your money by failing the class and they wont refund anything due to their technology errors or lack of guidance. No intentions to fix this issue either is what i also heard...so i dont have a kind word for this college read more

Love everything about this school! Being new to the area and a retiree that dabbles in photography, I was hesitant about going back to school. Once I spoke to Mr. Dooley on the phone and got connected with Evan Sheppard as my academic advisor, my photography soared! I went through some pretty rough patches with family issues back in NY, and they, specifically Evan was very sympathetic and understanding. The programs the college offers are phenomal, it's shocking more people don't take advantage of this great opportunity..especially with the free tuition. After years of getting nickeled and dimed by private dental practices, from Washington, D.C. to Charleston, jacking up prices, offering purported money-saving plans, requiring arbitrary and unnecessary X-ray repetition -- to quote Ronald Reagan, "I've had it up to my keister." Enter Trident Technical College's Dental Services Clinic in Charleston. I called for an appointment in April. The lovely and talented Jennifer Norwood assured me she'd call back when dental hygiene students returned in June. Voilà! Jennifer called and my appointment was scheduled June 8, 2021. Caveat: Appointment would take at least three hours. Student hygienist with faculty supervision. What did I care! I'm a retired network radio and TV new anchor, radio talk show host based in DC. Moved to Charleston after my daughter delivered my first grandson in 2010. I was escorted inside the clinic by a pleasant and accommodating staff member. There was a row of cubicles with dental chairs and equipment. I was fortunate to be assigned to student Bri Cox. Bri conducted an expert and extensive health history. No medical practitioner in my decades of existence on this sometimes wretched planet has done such a deep drill (no pun intended) into my past and present health history. The only thing she didn't want was my bra size! I got what Jennifer Norwood meant about the lonnnng appointment. I talked with the impressive Clinical Coordinator Kimberly Bodiford. Turns out we know each other. And Faculty Director Dr. Amy K. Cooper who has a private practice in Charleston. Dr. Cooper is off-the-charts smart and knowledgeable. And Dr. Mandy Gregory. I was surrounded by amazing, exceptional women and loving it! Back to Bri Cox. She cleaned my teeth as well if not better than anyone else! Ever. Bri has a year left of school. I told her she could leave now and get a hygienist gig. She's THAT good. Dr. Cooper reviewed Bri's dental assessment. Poked around my mouth as she asked Bri Qs. I got the vibe Bri earned an A. Excellent experience! I made another appointment with Bri for X-rays. If you're willing to devote time to support TTC's superior student dental clinic, you will emerge with a spectacular smile delivered by well-trained student dental hygienists. Pros: -Multiple campuses including online courses. Campuses have been clean and pleasant. -Accelerated terms to get required classes done much quicker. Cons: -Accelerated terms made taking multiple classes a difficult workload if you want to be fulltime. Felt that I had no time to actually learn and absorb the knowledge and felt swamped; missing even one assignment was fatal to your GPA. -Online professors were very hands-off. Tests frequently had questions that were not covered in any of the work completed. -Staff was very unresponsive. Advisor frequently gave me classes I was not prepared for. Ghosted multiple times, including questions about financial aid which led to future issues. Emails were often vague and unhelpful. Requires a great amount of self-sufficiency to navigate. In conclusion, I highly recommend if you want to take certain classes quickly, for a good price and then transfer, but overall poor experience for long-term. read more

My husband and I recently attended A Night in the Valley Dinner and Wine Auction here, and we had a fabulous time. When we arrived they had golf carts waiting to shuttle you to the entrance, and they had champagne ready for us after the check in. Very well put together event, and it was fun to open our goody bags we received as we left. I'd say one of my favorite parts of the night was striking a pose at the photo booth. I was impressed with the food, as it was prepared by the students, and it was delectable. The auction was to raise money for the students, and it was a great success. Trident Tech needs to be more professional. I've waited years to be able to take classes so free tuition was a dream come true. I enrolled and got my FAFSA. Problem no one at The Hub could help me register for class. "Contact your advisor for help to register." The advisor never responds and by the time I get in touch with someone (Not the advisor), it's too late class is full. OK, I can wait until the Fall semester, same thing Fall semester. Now I'm on a Spring/Summer waitlist and may be unable to take the free class. My advisor couldn't even reach out to tell me the class is full. read more

I was student almost 10 years so. I earned a degree in paralegal studies there. I actually quit my paralegal job to go to school full time. However, I've never been a paralegal since. I passed a personal training certification to work while I'm school. I've been a personal trainer as of 2009. I don't recommend WITS, the certification through TTC, however. I've recertified with NASM which is much better. I've returned to TTC to become Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). The school has had a lot of updates: wellness/ fitness center, more online class options, a new building for nursing and science, and better online portals. I'm really enjoying learning and utilizing everything they have to offer to students now. read more

I've attended Trident before and transferred to a 4-year college. I can honestly say I missed my little technical school when I was away at the big college. I missed the smaller size and the ability to make new friends. Being at the bigger school, it's just harder to actually develop any sort of relationship with anyone unless you live on-campus or is a part of a sorority or fraternity or team. I lived off campus, so I went there for classes and came back. But this isn't about the other school...it's about Trident. Every time I've gone to the admissions office, the man who's usually up there is always super nice and quick to help me in every area. He was there when I started and he's still there now, now that I'm returning. Everyone I've talked to for help is ready to assist me and help point me in the right direction. If they don't know the answer, they'll find someone who does. The teachers are great and are always available to help you in your studies, if you seek it. I've never really attended a class where I just couldn't understand the lesson. They teach their lessons in an understandable way. Oh, they've expanded since I was last there. The overall campus got larger, but it's still more easy to maneuver than a huge college/university. There's a really nice looking culinary building with a man-made pond with fountain in front of it and the bookstore is so much bigger than it was! And much nicer. What else? Oh yes, if you know what program of study you want to pursue, you need to make sure you talk to the right people in order to do what you need to do in a timely manner cause most programs are on a first-come, first-admitted basis...which means the sooner you get your act together, the sooner you'll be admitted into the program and the sooner you'll graduate. Make sure you fully understand what the program requires of you before tackling it because you don't want to give up mid-way and waste all that time and effort you've spent on trying to achieve something. Trust me...that's no fun. Overall, I love Trident and believe it's a great school for anyone who's looking for a smaller environment and a great education! read more

I am a school counselor, so I am often visiting colleges and universities. I find that Trident has good meeting facilities (the reason for my visit this time) and they have strong programs. The culinary school and restaurant are AMAZING and many of my students enjoy that program. If you get the chance to do one of their summer cooking programs, you should do it. They have many other programs as well and offer a quality education or beginning to a quality education to filter into a 4-year school. In the Lowcountry, I don't think you can beat Trident for a 2-year school and/or school-related meeting facilities. read more

I did not attend school at TTC but rather have done business with them. Their support staff have been a pleasure to deal with. Sometimes doing business with state supported schools, there can be a lot of headaches and red tape, but the folks at TTC make it very easy. I recently took a tour of their newest building, and not only is it state-of-the-art but also green. This college is awesome! Staff and Teachers are there to HELP you! Like with Any School you only get what you put into it. If you are serious about wanting an education you have no reason why you can't be a successful student! I am on dean's list here at Trident Tech and I'm a single mid-30's mom who years ago barely passed High School (I wasn't as devoted back then) I love the small class size (its my third semester and I haven't had a class over 30 people) so many different times to take your courses available as well. This school is the best out there! Don't TRUST those "fast track" college around those are only after your money (I know I use to attend one) This school is after helping those who want help! You can rest assured that if you choose to attend Trident Technical College that you have made a good choice! Your college credits are transferrable (unlike those "other" colleges I mentioned above) Prices at the college is very affordable especially if you are a Charleston, Berkeley, or Dorchester county resident! I've completed one semester at Trident thus far and have had nothing but great things to say. I previously attended a 4 year college and received a degree in business management but decided to go back to school for Avionics since Boeing is located here and offering good positions. Trident's programs to help you in the skill of aircraft maintenance, building, and avionics were highly regarded so I decided to try the school. The two biggest issues I have with the program I've chosen is that you need to go to Moncks Corner everyday for classes (which is not close to my location in Mount Pleasant at all). The other issue I have is that I have been out of school for a few years now but was still required to take BASIC prerequisites again (English 101 and Math 101 for example). So far I've taken some of those classes online and some on campus at the Rivers Avenue campus. Professors seem very attentive and my adviser is so great compared to the one I had when I first attended college. There are lots of great programs offered here and the buildings at the Rivers Ave campus seem very up to date once you get inside them. Building 920 is EXTREMELY impressive and huge read more

Attending Trident has to be the worst decision that I have made. I attended a 4 year University in the past and thought I would earn an additional diploma, big mistake! While the teachers are wonderful and encouraging, the financial aid office/registrar department sucks. Each term there is always something missing and needed in order to start the next semester. Never a smooth transition. When registering, I bought in all of the items that were previously discussed to register for classes. They accepted my college transcript and credits, started class but the next semester I could not register because they didn't have high school credits. Financial aid does not pay for summer term but the class that I need to graduate is only offered in the summer. There is no other time to take it. Taking 4 credits in a semester is not covered because it is not enough credits but adding on one class to try to meet the requirements is not covered either because it is too many credits. Its always something!!! Instead of paying out of pocket for two years for a technical school, I could've went to a university with more accreditation. Make my money count. read more

I attend Trident and I have enjoyed my time there immensely. The staff is usually competent and frequently go out of their way to help you. My experiences with the teachers has been excellent, they're well educated, talented, and extremely capable. The campus is pretty and well maintained, although parking is at a premium as it is on most campuses. I don't necessarily like the administrators, but they haven't done anything too obnoxious yet and I have ignored them successfully so far. read more

This has to be one of the worst colleges to attend. The teachers are not the problem, they're normally great. But they have the WORST business office imaginable!! You CANNOT get a hold of anyone for help over the phone unless you call repeatedly everyday. If you go inside to be helped, you wait AT LEAST an hour, but normally way longer than that. If you happen to speak with someone in the business office about a matter, it won't help because someone else will just turn around and tell you something different. Half the time, something regarding your financial aid will be messed up and you'll be on your own to figure out what it is and how to fix it. They make it as hard as they can for you to be able to register and go to school there, and if you do, the website where your homework/quizzes/tests etc is not working half the time so that you are not able to meet deadlines and fail the class. They are incompetent people who couldn't care less if you're able to get your education. read more
