This place kind of flew under my radar for a while because I thought it was an art boutique. It's a really nice tattoo shop, clean and the shop has a cool vibe with the flooring and art on the walls. From what I can see all of the artists are very talented, and everyone was welcoming. I went with Kat for my tattoo and no regrets. She came up with some cool designs and I've had many people ask about the tattoo since I've had it done. Next time the tattoo fever hits me I'll be back for more. read more

I was/am in Marana (from Las Vegas) visiting family for the holidays. At the moment I have roughly 10 or-so tattoos in which, almost all of, I have gotten at the spur-of-the-moment while having an "Ah Ha! I have an idea for my next tattoo" moment (some seemed like a good idea at the time anyway lol). I'm a sporadic type of dude. Luckily, I am always within short distance of a few tattoo artist who I know or know of (through recommendations). But now I was 300+ miles away from my closest known tattoo artist. Oh well, what are the odds of me having an "Ah Ha" tattoo idea, which have become less and less frequent as I get older, while in Marana, AZ with family? Customer Service: Well, wouldn't ya know it, one of those "Ah Ha" moments did come. And I couldn't wait until I got back to Las Vegas because, as I mentioned, I am rather sporadic (slightly impulsive actually). So I figured I'd take the drive down deep into Tucson Tucson where I figured all the shops were at. But after a quick Google search...all-be-damned; there was an actual tattoo shop less than a mile from my sister's house where I was staying. I didn't' even think there was anybody living around my sister that even HAD a tattoo, let alone there being a tattoo shop. Which worried me a bit. After all, the tattoo I wanted was to cover the entire top of my forearm: wrist to elbow. Was I sure I couldn't wait just 3 weeks until I got back to Las Vegas? Yes I was sure. I couldn't. So I went in and chatted with Tony. I let him know I was from out of town and needed to get it asap. After a bit of chatter, and finding out he was completely booked until after the New Year, he agreed to come in on his day off the very next day to give me the tattoo. Very much appreciated. The tattoo "experience": I don't know if it is because of the "meaty" or muscle on the top of my forearm, but this was without question the most painless and "clean" tattoo I have ever had. Seriously. Not even a speck of blood nor was the area red or irritated right afterward (see photo). The result: I was a bit apprehensive going to someone I didn't know or never heard of...in North Tucson/Marana mind you (not knocking it here, I love Tucson/Marana, but just not a place I'd connect with having tattoo shops). And I try not to watch while the artist is giving me a tattoo, I kind of like the surprise, but I did however glance down a few times and was liking what I was seeing. That comforted me and I pretty much spaced out for the next 2 hours. When it was all finished and I looked in the mirror, the first word that came to my head was, "WOW!". It was even better than I imagined and better than the photos I gave him to use as reference. Everything from getting me in the very next day (his day off) to the tattoo experience itself; to the placement of, the size, the shading, the color, and the final result exceeded my expectations. I come to Marana/Tucson a couple times a year to visit family and I absolutely see myself getting tattoos from Tony on a few of those occasions in the future. I got my first tattoo with Kevin when I was 19, and it's still my favorite. I followed him to Trinity when he left his last shop and I could not be more amazed with what they have done with the space. I have OCD and am a definite germaphobe, and this shop puts me at total ease with their cleanliness. If you are skeptical about sanitary conditions, this is the place to seek peace of mind. Extremely professional artists and business as well. Local artists hang and even sell their artwork on the walls and the floor has such a unique acid wash on it that I have not seen before. They welcome you into what really feels like a shared home for anyone who loves this industry. Of course, the artwork. Why else would you consider a tattoo? You're looking for permanent art. Personally, I have 4 tattoos, all but one small one are from Kevin. I think the only other people in the world I'd let give me a tattoo are the people here. I did not get tattooed here, but I came with someone that did. After hearing all kinds of horror stories about tattoo shops, and watching some terrible tv shows, I was actually more nervous than the person I came with. BUT all of my nerves went away within 5 minutes of walking in the door. This is a very professional establishment. Super clean from the tattoo stations to the bathroom to the corners. Lots of friendly, outgoing artists that were working on different clients and in different styles. They were all doing amazing work. The wall is covered in well-deserved awards for different tattoos they've completed in competition. All in all, this is a great place. My friend loves her tattoo and it was very, very well done. So the quick and dirty. Allegedly, there once was a tattoo shop where the talented employees were not happy. These employees thought things could be better if they start their own shop. There lies the beginnings of what is Now "Trinity", if the stories are to be believed. What I do know is, I asked another friend where he was getting these awesome tatts he's been showing up with. That lead me to this unassuming shop. First off, it's very clean, modern, and has a very cleaver decor, as it allows other artists to display one of a kind art work for sale to the type of clientele that frequent custom body art parlors. If you want to chill at the casa and see the artists' portfolio, their website showcases all the bio's and galleries of art of each artist. Come in, tell them your vision and they all collectively come together to figure out who best suits your needs. I've been coming for months for a sleeve with my artist Ken, and they were spot on with matching me with the best artist for my style. I'm very happy is an understatement, EVER-WHERE I go, people ask me, "Where did you get those tatts"?! That for me is proof I made the right decision, and I've contemplating another sleeve here in another style with a new artist:) read more

Worst experience yet....Sad that you schedule an appointment 8 weeks prior, then when you ask for your personally drawn tattoo to be drafted a week in advance to ensure you get what you want you are met with rude and unprofessional remarks. That is how Andy Pratt dealt with me regarding my daughters drawing of what she wanted. Take your business elsewhere.....they do not care what you spend. In an attempt to work with one of the owners Jake, whom I thought would understand that planning is actually a positive aspect as not to waste their time or ours basically he did not care. They had quoted her $500.00....thus loosing out on that, plus additional business as my husband and I were both looking at getting additional work....I have photos to prove how quickly Andy turned a simple request into a nasty confrontation. read more

Came here for a cover up tattoo i found an artist (i will not use names on the fact i don't believe in it, because it could be just one bad experience). So we talk about the drawing and it took about a week to draw up. not to bad because of detail, i got the drawing and literally looks like he copy and pasted it in paint and just used a black and white filter on it. So what ever maybe he will add his own flair to it. So i texted the artist so i could meet up in person and to talk about the tattoo. It has been 2 weeks and no response, i know artist can be busy but for 2 weeks no contact on anything is bull shit. read more

My friend and I are two retired teachers living in Green Valley. We decided to get tattoos together. We had never set foot in a tattoo parlor. After some research, we decided to check out Tony and Trinity Art Collective. Tony was friendly, helpful and professional as we explained what we wanted. We set a date and made a cash down payment. Our impression of the shop was good--not intimidating, very clean and quite busy. We had our tattoos done 7/28/16. Tony made stencils of our tattoos, consulted us on colors, size and position of our tattoos. I went first and was surprised that it was not painful, just like a small pin prick. We are both thrilled with our small, brightly colored hummingbird and hibiscus tattoos. Both of us chose to have visible tattoos on the lower leg. I got my first tattoo here from Erica on my 18th birthday. It's a memorial for my cat who died the year prior, and she did a beautiful job. She was very patient and sweet and has a gentle hand. I'm 19 now and the tattoo looks as beautiful as it did the day I got it! It was quick, relatively painless, and looks wonderful. I recommend her to everybody now! DO NOT GO HERE. NOT WORTH IT. I have never been treated to rudely by a tattoo artist in the 10+ years I've been getting tattoos. I schedule an appointment in a month in advance and when I show up it was given away because an artist doesn't normally do " touch ups" on the weekend. However we we're going you do more than a touch-up but that was not remembered at all. The work on tattoo we were going to touch up is the wost tattoo I have to begin with so I was giving a second chance. It needed a touch up right after it healed.
