I was surrounded by people calling themselves Christians - while at the exact same time, I saw them tear down the very ones made in His image. An example of this being my entire class and upperclassmen (with the exception of few), making fun of one girl who struggled with a disability. They made an Instagram "fan page" of her - her profile picture being black snakes coming out of her eyes. I was once told by a staff member that, on another occasion, an entire grade dressed up as one student in order to make fun of her. But, because the staff "could not prove the bullying," they did nothing to stop it. However, I would be lying if I did not say there are some genuinely kind teachers at the school that truly love their students. But, that will most likely not be the takeaway in your child's experience at LCA. In the classroom, things from the Bible are skewed in their teaching. For example, it's taught that if you're anxious, you're not a true Christian. It's taught that if you pray for doctors and nurses, rather than solely God's miracles, you're not truly believing in the power of God. Teachings like these saturate the classroom. There is extremely little diversity, though their deceptive marketing will put a minority poster child on the front page of their website. What I experienced at LCA was truly traumatic to me. If you are considering sending your child there, and they are at all doubting their faith in whatever way, please prayerfully re-consider. I write this review out of deep disturbance and concern for your child's faith.

I find that other Montessori schools are very heavy-handed and assume that children will attend Montessori school all their lives, but the teachers/facilitators here instead prepare the children so that they can thrive in any environment. Both of our children could read before kindergarten and are doing advanced math because of the atmosphere of learning here. After graduating from this preschool, we still return often for social events because the atmosphere is warm and family-like.

They love sending children to the office for punishment and have no problem calling the parent while at work to pick their child up early for normal toddler tantrums and behavior. They called me every week for the 3 weeks my 2 yo was enrolled. Instead of trying to find a solution for the issue at hand they simply send the kids home and could care less because after all they are already paid. I was absolutely disappointed with this daycare. They are over priced and im seriously confused how they are accredited with anyone. My son has since started a new daycare, tuition is 100$ cheaper per week might I add, with competent child care providers and we have had no issues what so ever thus far.

It was the day before my son started that we received notification that said director was resigning for "personal reasons." Take that as you will. As far as our personal experience, we did drop off and were able to take my infant son to his room (this is not the normal Covid policy: they wanted us to drop him at the door). When I walked in, there were two babies at the entrance of the room: one lying on the floor (not in a boppy or on a blanket, but on the floor), with an older child sitting up beside her, looking down over her, with snot running out both sides of his nose. I made a comment about the snot to both the director and the worker, the latter of whom was sitting across the room. It was the director that finally wiped the snot off as my husband and I looked horrified. We left, feeling like this was not a good fit for us, based on the the combination of abuse allegations and level of engagement (or lack thereof) of staff with the children. I returned at 1200 to pick up my son. I explained my concerns to the Asst. Director, who was apologetic, and waited for her to retrieve my son and his things. We were pulling him completely from the daycare. As I waited, the training she'd been completing on her laptop was still playing--and it was a recording, I believe, of a person talking to (I'm assuming) a group of Asst. Directors and Directors about "how to get more children in the door without having to hire more staff." This, I feel, sums up the mission of Kindercare. It showed in our experience.
