This was a great experience. It was fun day out on a rainy day with the kids. It's a couple of days after Christmas and we wanted to get the kids out of the house. They both love to paint . They had a snowman class . You could pick either a boy or girl. The instructor was both kind and entertaining. He has two kids of his own. He understood about how to keep the kids interested. He encouraged to change up the snowman to anything you wanted. He also shared a few tricks with paint brush to create snow and ornaments on the tree . Nolan did a storm trooper and Amanda did Olof. They have a great detailed website with what they offer and days and times that may work for you. You can prepay so your spot is reserved. It was the perfect tho g to do on a dreary day . It was a great time and I would definitely do it again on my next visit to the area!

I'm not an artist... let's just get that out there. I hate everything that I'm not good at when I attempt. Well, that was before I tried painting with friends while under the influence. All the perfectionist stuff goes out the window unless you're an artist like my daughter, who somehow got pictures of my painting texted to her midway through. She texted me the encouraging words "kindergarten status". Oh well, I had a blast! Here's the run down... I wasn't in charge of booking the group, so I can only tell you my side as a tagalong. We were a group of about 20. The person in our group who was in charge of booking the event chose which painting that we would all be painting. It wasn't something that I would've chose, but I would never tell her that... I'm a good sport. The doors opened 30 minutes before the session was to start. You walk in and show ID and get a stamp... to prove that you're 21 and of legal admittance. So don't leave your ID at home and don't bring along the kids. The drinks are in the back. They had a lot of wines to choose from and all or most of them were in the $20-$23 range. I chose the bottle and was able to take home what I didn't drink. They put it in a sealed bag and I put it in the trunk, that way it was "legal" for the drive home. Some of the people in our group brought snacks and appetizers, which was an added touch to the event. The painting started at 6:30 and ended at 8:30. I should probably stop there and not elaborate on the painting part. Ok, here goes... I pretty much laughed the entire time. No, it wasn't just the wine, the whole experience was a blast. The painting itself was of fish, but my version looked more like sperm. When I got home, my daughter said that she will "touch it up" for me, but honestly, it'll take a miracle to salvage it. My husband's painting, on the other hand, was impressive! Who knew that painting was one of his many talents?!

. I've never really got into painting pictures besides the yearly tempra paint Christmas murals I would create on the windows of my parents house in California. Santa and his sleigh and 8 reindeer plus Rudolph. But real painting. On a canvas. I hated it. Because I never liked the results. But as I've grown older, life has been showing me this message. Enjoy the process and stop fixating on what you think the result should be. As a perfectionist who hates making mistakes. What's the best way to grow beyond that? Doing something new or difficult. And for an extra challenge. Do it surrounded by people you don't know! So I attended a class at Pinot's Pallet. I had to give myself the opportunity to practice what I've told children I've worked with over the years. Art isn't about being good. It's about how it makes you feel. And art is the place mistakes can sometimes end up being really beautiful. But. Just in case that's a bit hard for you. The mistake part I mean. They have wine, beer, and bourbon to let that inhibition go. For me, the class was this odd pairing of creativity and structure. In that, your class is moved at a pace through various steps to produce a portrait in a set amount of time. For me, structure and creativity can seem like such an oxymoron. But that really embodies my personal struggle of having the tendency to linear, analytical thinking and perfectionism and yet possessing an outrageously, fearless, unruly, and rebellious creative side that is a great source of anxiety for my Virgo perfectionist part of me. So back to the class. After a visit to the bar. I walked to my canvas all set up. And waited. I reviewed my tools. Two paintbrushes. One with a fat brush. One slim a brush. Two paper plates. One with the pallet of paints specifically set for the project that night. One clean paper plate to mix colors. A red plastic cup of water. And paper towels. When our instructor, started the class she reminded me of being in a spin class (complete with headset mic) with her pumped up excitement to motivate and teach us to produce a painting she had already done. But this was better because there was wine and no bikes. She addressed all of our potential leanings toward negativity and personal criticism in the process and humorously warned us by way of making a drinking game out of it. And so we began. The first instructions were given and I took a deep breath, a big gulp of wine, and told myself, "This is art. Not calculus. There is no right and wrong." and mixed my paint as instructed. During these intervals of painting time, music played. I Painted the first thing we were told. No problem. Mixed the next set of paints. Took another gulp of wine and painted the next step. And that's where structure started to impede on my sense of free spirit as we were instructed to go to the next step. And I had yet finished. I wasn't alone though. And that's where the process started to show it's value and exposed my analytical side for my painting started to resemble a colorful Mexican blanket due to it's linear appearance instead of the beautifully blended colors that our instructor created. Deep breath. Remember why you're here! Oh yeah. The wine! Another visit to the bar. This struggle continued throughout the evening as instructing staff walked around offering extra help and encouragement. But I finally rebelled when it came time to paint our mountain. I made mine deliberately different. And trust me it really shows. And the good or bad of that is truly subjective. As I saw the other creations around me I found myself judging my own painting and frustration found me. I was was losing focus and as we finished I was not happy with my painting. However. I want to try again. I want to take another class. And this time try it with one or two people I know and see how that changes the process. I really enjoyed the staff and their enthusiastic encouragement. And frankly, as I sit here, looking at my painting now in the much dimmer lighting of my living room and from much much farther away. I have to admit. For me. This was the best painting on canvas I've ever done. My novice attempts to mimic the techniques Our instructor showed us are there. They need improvement. But they are there. The fact this is truly my first attempt at painting and using painting techniques. I really did do a better job. And like with anything else the more you practice the better you get. And I can't think of a better place to try to improve my painting skills than with the staff at Pinot's Pallet, a big bottle of wine, and a designated driver! And this first painting will always remind me of the day I went to do something I knew I wouldn't do well. And did it anyway. And I'm proud of myself. And that is the purpose of art right? How it makes you feel. (And wine sure doesn't hurt!)

    Lord wish me luck!

Like most adventures it started with a Groupon deal. Lol. Went with my girl friends for a night of painting, wine, and chatting. Loved it so much I brought The BF the next night for a couples painting. This place is so wonderful. The owners are very attuned to their clients needs, very willing to help and to make you comfortable. Drinks at $6 a glass of wine and specialities occasionally. They always have snacks but you can food delivered and eat at breaks too. Plus they do a wine down Wednesday....gonna have to try that out. You leave with new friends, great memories, art, and a desire to return. In fact they are planning a pet painting one where they will grayscale your pet's picture on to a primed canvas so you can paint YOUR pet. can't wait to make a reservation for that one.

I enjoy going to these types of places, but sadly I didn't have the best experience this time around. They class was for a painting of a contest winners photo of a Kentucky road at fall. They began the class almost a half hour late though, then rushed to get done at the same time. The instructor acted like she had never painted the picture before, stating things like "let's try mixing these colors and see if that gets us what we need". Then when walking around the room she made comments to my sister and I who were painting stating we seemed like those "type A perfectionists", and we needed to let go. Although we had fun, it seemed rushed, and we felt a bit attacked by the teacher. We may go back, but there would have to be a different teacher and we'd definitely expect it to start on time.

What is not to like a bout this place? Hang around with friends while learning to paint a piece of art that you get to go home with. Then to make the class more fun, they sell booze. Win. Win. Win. Please take note that you do not really need to know how to paint to have a great time here. The classes are designed to walk you through creating a beautiful piece of art in small easy steps. It is something fun to do with kids, friends, or even alone. If you haven't done anything like this before, give it a chance. I am sure as soon as you try it, you will love it. Check their website to see what painting classes are coming up and when. Then go and prepay online and reserve your spot. It really is something to do that is fun and you end up with a great memory to take home with you. I hope this place catches on, it really is alot of fun. I could see kid parties, office parties, or even just a girls/friends night come here. They also do "Couples" nights. This is where one partner will paint one picture and the other person paints the second half. How cute is that? Stop in and take a class today. If you do, I promise you will do it again.

    What a fun night!!

What a fun night we had at Pinot's Palette! The owners and staff were super fun, friendly and pleasant to be around. The instructor was hilarious! Who knew a night of painting would let you forget about your worries and stress! The music was fun, 2 hours went by so fast! Remember the more you drink the better you paint!

This was my first time doing a paint and sip event. While this is a chain it was done very personally. We stared off by getting into the class the hour before it started by going online and reserving two seats. We got there a little early to find out seats and get some drinks. The staff was excellent. They were fun and friendly and were very good artist and knew how to be relaxed and also give good advice. The drinks were $6 each but were large pours so worth the money in my opinion. I have never painted in my life and it actually came out okay and I was very impressed. They have various theme nights and date nights that would be awesome I think but I have not done them. I look forward to going again it was 2.5 hours well spent!

Where you bowl is different from the traditional horseshoe arrangement of seating with the scoring screen behind the ball return rack. This place has mini tables with four swing out seats and the scoring menu attached to the table. Every other lane is offset from their neighbor lanes. I found it confusing. I don't understand what all the tables are for in the bowling area unless they allow food and drinks down by the bowlers. If so, it would be the first time I've seen that. On the second visit I saw that indeed food and beverage was being utilized by the bowlers on these tables. It took me a couple of games to get used to the set up. The ball return is much closer to the foul line than what I'm used to therefore throwing off my stance but once I made the adjustment, I did much better. I bowled on a Monday and Thursday at my home lanes, then here on Friday. Bowling two days in a row really put soreness into my shoulder. After resting my shoulder and rotator cuff over the weekend, we returned today, Monday, for more games. I bowled a more consistent higher three game average today. The electronic scoring system is overdue for an upgrade in my opinion. I would like to see multiple options for scoring formats with at least one option that tells you your ball speed. We ordered a brownie bowl from the snack bar. It was okay and satisfied our sugar craving for some kind of dessert after eating lunch.

From the moment I mentioned having a wedding planner to this DJ, it was a battle. I gave him a copy…read moreof the timeline written by the wedding planner to which he reacted by slapping his hand on the paper exclaiming "this is all wrong"! Eventually and after a few "discussions" it appeared he had accepted his role as a DJ and not the wedding planner but that was the calm before the storm. First at the reception it appeared he did not care about anything other than his own schedule. David Daniel started by botching up the wedding party names and announcing everyone out of order. We shrugged this off joking that he must be taking advantage of the open bar but the rest of the night proved his absence of professionalism, lack of organization and indifferent manner were obvious. He followed a timeline written by himself and entirely disregarded the timeline we and all other vendors were given by the wedding planner. Because he took it upon himself to ignore the timeline and go by his own agenda, many important moments were lost. Significant events like the cake cutting, garter toss and special slide shows were missed by many family members because he was not following the agreed timeline but instead following his own itinerary which he never bothered to share. One point he bragged at our first meeting was he would make sure all key people would be gathered for important photo opportunities BEFORE they happened. This did NOT happen at all! He made ABRUPT announcements giving no consideration who was present. In addition, he was asked repeatedly to make announcements such as reminding guest to sign in, help themselves to the candy buffet and take home cupcakes. Not once did he make any announcements we asked for, even when asked repeatedly. Through the evening he totally ignored request by the guest and played NO songs from the Bride's provided playlist. He actually played songs the bride had crossed out to NOT play. As the night progressed our reception went downhill. Our guest moved the dancing outside to a patio area and plugged in a phone because the DJ would not take request. His responses were "the songs are inappropriate" or "my Wi-Fi is not working". I heard the request being made, they were not inappropriate and most popular radio songs have clean versions. (a DJ should know this?) The Wi-Fi was working on everyone else's devices but he still would not allow us to plug in to his system. This DJ started shutting down roughly 2 hrs. early without my consent. To this he will say the wedding planner told him to wind down starting a 930 but at what point did major decisions such as that get taken from my hands? Was the wedding planner paying him or was I? I never never agreed to that! I know he will reply with answers that will be very convincing but keep this question in mind. What DJ takes the order of events into his own hands when he was clearly instructed otherwise and also closes a reception down when HE wants? Is your wedding worth hiring this guy who is more expensive, has bad reviews and undermined my wedding planner to ruin our reception? The only person who ultimately paid the price was the bride by not having family around for special moments and having her reception party brought to an abrupt halt. You can get a far superior DJ at a much lower price especially since he had it on auto play a large part of the night. Don't fall for his ex-military spiel either. He likes to talk up the fact he is ex-military that gives a discount when actually he charged us more than his normal rate. One last thing to check prior to considering him for your DJ is speak with your venues before hiring him. There is a chance he may actually be banned due to his behavior and so many unhappy clients. Venues do not like working with vendors like him that ruin one of the biggest days of a woman's life. I should have read reviews prior to employing him and been warned by the horrible experiences 3 of my vendors had with him. This is not the case of getting your money's worth by hiring the most expensive DJ, he was just an overpriced disappointment. No David Daniels I do not want to discuss this with you, I hope to never run into you ever again! You took great pleasure in ruining my daughters reception. You gave a horrible experience and I hope this review prohibits you from ruining any future weddings.

BUYER BEWARE--- Buyers beware of the Disc Jockey (Master of…read moreCeremonies) services of Daniel David. As the bride working with him was the only negative experience of my wedding. It is completely unacceptable to threaten to quit minutes before the wedding rehearsal and think the couple would be satisfied with the services rendered. I actually had a member of the wedding rehearsal call up her friend that is a DJ (wish I know have known that information earlier) and have them on-call in case Daniel quit or did not show up. The fact that I was actually worried about that as a possibility couldn't be sadder. Lack of his preparation had created a disagreement between us about five days before the wedding as Daniel informed me (the bride) that he had not completed the agreed upon tasks due to being busy with other weddings. Who says that to a bride?!? To which I told him that he should not have over-extended himself. I was paying way too much money ($1200) for Daniel to give me excuses for why he wasn't going to be prepared. Daniel was highly upset by my straight-forward, simply statement of overextending himself and that he had never been so insulted in his life. I was baffled that he was getting mad at me instead of working to improve my opinion of his abilities! That is when we got into an argument (while my wedding party and pastor were showing up for the rehearsal) when he threaten to quit. Turns out he informed us the voice recordings of our messages to each other that were supposed to be incorporated into the first dance did not record well and may not be able to be used. This should be been done far in advance to ensure proper recording and audio quality. Instead, it was brushed off until the night before so at the rehearsal the groom had to re-record his (without the proper written material he had prepared in advance) and the bride was up until 1:30pm the night before the wedding trying to record her portion again. I should have NEVER had to wonder about that getting done as we had recorded our portions weeks prior. If there had been a problem we should have been notified before the wedding rehearsal. Instead, blamed was placed on groom for not holding the phone properly, when Daniel was in the room with him and should of corrected him if that were a problem. I still have no idea why he had a problem with my recording. Daniel's attitude during the rehearsal was TERRIBLE and done of my wedding party enjoyed that experience, to the point one member wrote a negative review without my knowledge, but I fully support her view. I am posting this review so other couples can avoid the same unpleasant working conditions that my husband and I endured. I will admit that I enjoyed the actual wedding because I was overjoyed to getting married and I was not going to let a DJ conflict ruin the most important day of my life. His performance at the wedding was better than I expected after the disaster of the wedding rehearsal so I was relieved. I did have to ignore the fact that Daniel chose to play none of the songs I requested on my playlist that I spent hours making to give him a selection of songs we liked, the fact that Daniel replayed a couple songs, or he had loud feedback noise when my singer was performing during the actual wedding. Lastly, I will conclude with reiterating how unprofessional it is to threaten to quit at the wedding rehearsal because you were so offended that I dare tell you in a professional manner that I felt you overextended yourself and did not prepare my materials in a timely manner. Last minute and with a BAD ATTITUDE is no way to conduct a business, especially when it is the joyous occasion of a wedding. You did not give us a "special moment and reduce stress" as promised, in fact I feel Daniel was the threat of harm to my special moment and caused me more stress than anything during my wedding time. The only thing I would change about my wedding would be using another DJ. Daniel supposedly had a back money guarantee (if you requested your money back within 14 days) which I did not because couples are so busy after they first get married. In addition, I did not want to have further contact with him. I was trying to focus on how wonderful it felt to marry my best friend. It took me 3 months to write Daniel about how disappointed I was in his services. Of course, I got no money back at that point. However, I could not write about the experience until now. In the initial consultation Daniel promised to "reduce stress" and instead he directly caused my stress to grow ten-fold. By the way, I should have been super easy to work with as I had a laid back approach to the wedding; my flowers came from Kroger instead of a florist, I had a friend do my hair, etc. The last thing I wanted was to be stressed and Daniel was my only source of major stress. Beware if you are looking for a DJ for your wedding!

This visit was MUCH more enjoyable than the last!…read more The thing that impressed me the most was that even though it wasn't nearly as crowded as last time, two employees were making laps around the skating rink the entire time. As soon as someone fell, they quickly checked on them & helped them up so no one else fell. I especially want to brag on the female skater (I wish I got her name!). My nephew was struggling & she kept checking on him, encouraging him, giving him pointers & even took time to check his skates, tighten them & make sure the fit wasn't the problem. If not for her, he would have given up in frustration. Instead, he left feeling like he had a good time & had improved. She's the biggest reason for the 5 star rating. Employees like her are what makes a business great! As we walked in, there was a very friendly employee at the front booth, so we didn't have to wonder around inside trying to find which desk to go to like last time. The special they were running made for a very fun & affordable night out. The skate rental employees weren't very friendly, but weren't rude either...just okay. A few people were drinking, but not to excess, so no problems there. The employee at the food booth greeted everyone with a smile & was friendly. The DJ worked hard to change things up and keep it fun. We had a great time and will return on a regular basis.

The roller skating rink is not the safest and it kinda smells like feet they need some febrezeread more
