We were starving after visiting The Colosseum and walked some blocks to find food. We happened upon this place and were glad we did. 4 of us were seated at a tiny table right away. They all had beers. I had the brisket, 2 had fish & chips and the other had an enoy burger! Mine was delish! The ambiance was a typical Irish pub: dark and moody. Service was horrible! Unless you want to be yelled at and scolded then try this place. I feel like we were stereotyped once we walked in the bar. I ordered a beer and got a lecture about the proper way of serving a Guinness. I know the proper way of serving a Guinness, I bartended for many years (2 years at and Irish pub) and worked for DIAGEO who owns Guinness...that being said, I know the proper way of serving a Guinness. The day before we left Rome we chanced upon Trinity college pub to get shelter from the heavy rain. It was 2:30pm and only a few patrons were inside. We sat by the bar and the nice bartender greeted us and asked what we wanted. My husband and i both had the Italian burger and it was delectable. Paired with the really crispy fries, it definitely hit the spot. Days of eating pasta and gelato, the beer and burgers were a welcome change! When in Rome....don't go to Trinity College Pub! After being in Italy for about 5 days my boyfriend and I were really tired of Italian food (we didn't think it was possible either!). We were a bit surprised to find that there are almost no other food options because I'd assume that the locals would want something different from time to time. It took us a while, but we stumbled upon Trinity College Pub and we figured we would be safe with an Irish Pub. My fish n' chips were fine and my boyfriend's Nachos Tex Mex were average, which would have put this review at a 3-star, however our waitress was a piece of work. Initially we felt bad for her because it was incredibly busy and she was the only server. She was literally running around taking orders and bringing food to the tables. However, we did expect to actually be waited on. After our food was brought out she all but ignored us. I asked for a refill on my water, which after acknowledging that she forgot said that she had other orders to fill. In other words, SOL. We then had to wait at least 15 minutes to receive our bill after we asked for it and then waited another 25 minutes to pay! She looked as us every time she walked by (we were sitting at the bar right by where she placed and grabbed orders from the kitchen) and it took her 25 minutes to ask us to pay with the bartender because she was "too busy". The line for the bar was absolutely crazy and after being there for three hours for some mediocre fish n' chips we literally just left the bill with cash and walked out. I know that customer service isn't as big of a thing in Europe as the US, but I don't care what country you are in, you don't tell a paying customer that you don't have time for them. *Also, do you really want to spend your hard earned money at an establishment where the manager/owner makes passive aggressive excuses for extremely poor service rather than remedy them? When in Rome..,.Do karaoke with the Romans! Irish pubs are the hot new thing in Roma. Or so we were told. After wasting a cab ride to Tristevere area clubs(on a Wednesday night), we ended up walking into this place. Apparently, people in Rome don't go clubbing/ dancing on Wednesday. Instead they all go to Irish pubs and sing Italian songs! Gasp** This place was a stone throw away from our apartment in the middle of via del corso. You will most likely pass by on your way to trevi fountain and not notice it. It's small but loud inside with a typical pub feel. The experience: Well, when in Rome: the DJ actually sings along with you! Huh? Or hog the microphone for most of the night. The DJ here was somewhat cute in his late 20's...the cuteness factor went away when he started humping the girls at the bar... wtf! Even after a few touchdown shots~it was a wtf situation! You creeper!! So I did what any normal girl would do, took shots with my crew and signed myself to sing. There were blurred lines, closing time and don't stop believing...and I want it that way with some MJ songs in between..because I really did want it that way. Apart from the creepy Dj dude: this was a fun bar. You can dance with Bourdain look a like and Godfather look like grandpas. Or mingle and smash glasses with random German and Dutch guys, you can also get hit on by the bartender and go back the bar and make drinks? Eh...yea it's a pretty chill place that lets you do whatever you want. Everyone is young, fun and laid back. They will give you occasional boos and mostly they will sing along with you till after the bar shuts down. I know where to go next time I want to lose my voice, or watch people lose their voice, laugh,make friends and take giant touchdown shots while the entire Rome is asleep. Fun-tastic! read more

We had a very difficult time finding a simple, comfortable bar to have a few drinks at in Italy late after roaming the touristy streets. Luckily we stumbled upon this pub which was exactly what we were looking for! Came here many years ago in 2004, decided to come back to see if it was still the same. The decor of the Pub hasn't changed at all. My husband and I decided to have a few drinks and an appetizer plus we needed to take a break from site seeing. The drinks are well priced, the appetizer was pretty good (wings, chicken fingers, nachos, bruchsetta, and fries for 15 euros). I gave this place three stars because the waitress wasn't attentive, a few times I had to chase her down to place our orders or get refills. Also she wasn't all that knowledgeable on the drink menu. We wanted a glass of Vecchia Romagna (she had no idea what we was talking about; really you're Italian). Overall, a great spot to come for drinks at a reasonable price. read more

Follow the sign from Via del Corso to find this brilliant late night bar. Hot and sexy bar staff, great music with swinging lights thrown in. Usually a good mixture of tourists and locals. Later on there are bouncers outside vetting entry so if you're with girls you're more likely to get in. The other option is to get there before the bouncers start for the night and stay there. This places gets busy and it's usually wild and fun. Food is served during the day and quite late in the evening. Good choice of light dishes, snacks and main meals and reasonably priced. Great to line your stomach for the night ahead. The toilets are extremely ropey and have been known to run out of toilet paper before the night is up - take some tissues in your handbag just in case. If you're looking for a fun night out this is a great place to go. read more
