He asked if I could give him a few day's to send the email of the typed report or Icould pay a few to have the report next day. When I didn't receive the emailed report I called Mr. Scott to remind him, and that's when he informed me that his computer had crashed but he'll be sure to send as soon as he work things out with the computer. One week later on today, I called Mr. Scott asking for the report, he became very combative with me. When I responded to his disrespect he hung up the phone. He was being unreasonable, unprofessional, and not holding himself accountable. It wasn't till later that I found out that he had left his baseball cap in his car the displayed the Confederate flag, which pretty much summed it up as to how he was speaking to me. Mr. Scott please do better!

Poor tech behavior (I've had to have one completely barred from my home). Inspectors who don't fully do their job. While I appreciate hearing - in 3-hour detail standing in my living room - about your Frenchie breeding business, you didn't take a single note to get me the estimate on the work I needed done. It took 3 months to get somebody to get me the estimate so I can get the work done. The second inspector told me it was bc the first one thought he couldn't close a sale. Clearly he doesn't know how bc the second one got the business, no problem. The two people who have always been professional & consistent: Princess & Stacy. I appreciate you both. But this takes the cake: Finally got the work done. Well, partially, bc the 2nd tech that was supposed to show up & help Stacy never showed, so the work isn't complete. But what did Active do? They charged my checking account - ON CHRISTMAS EVE - for the ENTIRE amount of the work (a 4 figure job, for reference) to my checking account instead of the GreenSky financing account I opened to pay for the work. CHRISTMAS. RUINED. Liquid cash? Gone. On a holiday. Account in SHAMBLES bc you better believe the rest of my bills continued to pull from the account. Disaster is not even the word to describe this. I called at least 5 times + multiple emails to get somebody to call me and face me to deal with this. Nobody ever called back. You can't contact someone local at "your local pest control experts" (that's what's on the phone greeting) to deal with it like adults. No urgency in fixing THEIR ERROR for a contracted, years-long customer. I used to be able to speak to someone in the local office. Their new phone system doesn't allow that. You can only have customer service send a message to ask them to call you back. So much for that "local" part. Imagine behaving like this when running a multi-million dollar business where you just acquired/merged with Terminix to make you even bigger? You don't DESERVE to be bigger. You deserve to be sanctioned. And you absolutely deserve this review. I'll eventually be switching companies but considering it's the holidays & I don't have my money back yet or the mental energy to do this error-correcting labor, it's not at the top of my list. Will be on the lookout for New Years specials from their competitors though.

I called and told them I was waiting for the bill and they still would not continue my policy. Instead, they wanted me to start all over. They are not, in my opinion, customer driven. I'll be looking for another company.

I got confirmation promptly. You do have to sign a liability waiver and pre-pay, but it's pretty straightforward what is and isn't included. Emily arrived promptly on time and wore a mask throughout the inspection as a COVID pre-caution. She is very thorough and professional. The inspection went quicker than expected, but she was very patient in answering my questions. She is extremely knowledgable about construction, codes, and quickly caught onto the areas where I needed her information to help us make decisions. I really appreciate the fact that I got the full report emailed via PDF in less than 24 hours. The report is easy to read, full of pictures and call-outs, has appropriate categories, and the level of detail addressed our concerns buying a well-loved home that has been around longer than me. Emily is responsive and I appreciate her emphasizing her availability to go over the report or our questions anytime. I would highly recommend Building Knowledge and would definitely seek-out Emily's availability if you are looking for inspections in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

Worst and least useful home inspection report that we've ever received. The first report consisted…read moreof a PDF attachment and a link a completely different PDF file. The PDF attachment listed two "concerns" involving smoke and carbon monoxide detectors but no other information--most importantly, no discussion positive or negative of any of the other parts of the home that were inspected. The linked attachment listed three other concerns and noted that the HVAC couldn't be tested because of the cold weather--again, no discussion of any other parts of the home. We followed up with the inspector, who indicated that there was an issue with the computer system that generated the reports. A day later (as the due diligence period is ticking), the inspector posted a longer report. The report was missing some of the items from the first report, so ANOTHER report was posted. However, the final report mostly added pictures with almost no extra text. This is the first home purchase where we have not been able to accompany the inspector, and we really regret it. The reports were not up to a professional standard, and I STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere.
