It's a pretty cathedral with lots of history. I especially loved the wooden beams on the ceiling, it reminded me more of Dutch architecture than Spanish. One of the odd quirks of this particular cathedral is that you exit through a gift shop, which kind of threw me off and didn't feel genuine. Overall, if you're interested in architecture and history, this is an okay stop while exploring that city but definitely not a must.

This is one of the first churches I have ever reviewed on yelp; but, I must tell you the odds are stacked in the church's favor that it's going to be close to a five star score. Also, St. Augustine has quite a few very historic churches, parishes, shrines, and religious destinations so you can almost make a full day of visiting these sites. Well, it was my first time visiting a white race Baptist Church. I walked out of the service. The…read morenicest thing there was the front door security guard and I can understand why the foundation needs one. The pastor wrote a song about leprosy and sang it during his service. I found it appalling that the congregation of baby boomers laughed hysterically like a bunch of bullies. He spoke of books they don't even have in their own Bible and I won't lie, I took one so I could try to study what it is they're hiding. When I told them I was born and raised Latter Day Saint, I was faced with immediate judgmental energy. I'm used to that, just not from elders. I must say left all respect for those ones there in that obviously, once black owed building.

The people are always gracious, kind and caring in my experience. This is a church that earnestly seeks to apply the Bible to life and to show Christ's love in a variety of ways. It is a very comfortable church to attend for the first time or occasionally, so feel free to check it out. This is ringing true to the words of Pastor Joby Martin, the founder and lead pastor of The Church of Eleven22 in Jacksonville which has been " a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ". The Joy and excitement in the atmosphere is palpable as I listened to so many testimonies from longtime residents of the St Augustine community who have long awaited this campus opening up the doors. Lots of people have been watching the services online and even hosting watch parties/ Outposts to be able to gather together regularly live, watch online, join in worship, and fellowship... NOW we can gather together locally under one roof! It is such a big difference being able to see smiles, to give and receive big hugs, worship together, pray for each other, cry together, and most importantly to give God all the Glory for all He does for us!!
