I saw a post on Facebook that pictured a home with exactly what I wanted done, and S&N had done the work. So I called them. Sam came over and looked at the job, and gave me an estimate, which was fair, for the work. Like I said, this was a difficult project, and ran into a number of snags. As S&N proceeded with the demolition of the deck, there was a water pipe that needed to be rerouted, a gas pipe that needed to be removed, multiple electrical wirings that needed to be removed, and the main power cables that ultimately had to be replaced. S&N was great in working with all of these setbacks as we got them done, and finally got to the business of placing the patio pavers. Sam had great recommendations for how this should be done, and decided on two occasions that what was planned was not going to work. He always was up front and communicative about any changes. Both times he had to tear up what had already been done, to then replace the work with what was going to work best. Over a 10 day period of time, working in cooperation, I finally had a great new paver patio. I just need to do some siding repair and landscaping. It has been 4 months since the owners of Pave Master Paving refused to honor the price they bid on…read morea written contract to pave my driveway, and then refused to return a $1,600 deposit. I reported Pave Master Paving to the Better Business Bureau for their disreputable and deceitful business practices. I also sued Pave Master Paving in NJ Superior Court and won a judgment for repayment of the deposit (copy of Order attached). Bobby, the owner of Pave Master Paving, in defiance of the order of the Court and in a rage on one of the few occasions he didn't hang up on me, promised that he will not return the deposit. According to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, PaveMaster Paving, Inc. has been unlawfully operating without a state license since 3/31/2019, and therefore their offer to repair our driveway was in violation of the NJ Contractors Registration Act. Since discovering that Pave Master Paving has been illegally operating without a state license, the NJ Better Business Bureau has given them an F rating! So I will pursue the legal process to compel Pave Master Paving to repay the deposit. If you don't want to get tangled up in a mess like this, avoid this company!
