This review is strictly my experiences from Meny and not pinnacle…read more Came in to get taxes done by Meny 4/8, brought my paperwork. Emailed the rest that night. Called 3:25pm 4/10 and left a message with a receptionist for meny that I emailed my documents. 4/14 rolls around and called both at 8:40am and at 1:44pm with meny still unavailable, left two more messages on those calls. The call at 1:44pm receptionist saying that they will file extensions and left the message that I want to extend due to meny's not being available for contact. Receptionist says they usually file extensions that next day after hours. First call I have back from meny was today at 9:27am 4/24, to ask me what I wanted to do with my return. I called back 10:03am, now being able to talk to her, asks me what I wanted to do and says that they tried to contact me and left messages. I argued they didn't, no messages left or called, I looked thru my call logs at the "time and date" they said they contacted and replied they didn't. Meny argues that she was there when she asked the receptionist to call me, while meny was talking to a client. Then find out they did NOT extend my return and that they don't do that for new clients. New hires were mentioned and it was busy last 2 weeks. Frustrated, paid her fees of $185 over the phone I understand I tried to file a week in advance, but at the same time I reached out numerous times and was told over the phone that I was able to get it extended by an employee, and now I'm stuck with penalty fee. Will not recommend Meny from Pinnacle.

After filing the taxes, two weeks went by and never got an email from the IRS and their website continued to say "record not found". I contacted the business and the owners reply was "the IRS is backed up and only operating on 30% right now". Another two weeks, nothing. I call and asked again for an update. Same reply from the owner and when I expressed my concern for the tax deadline approaching, the owner said "oh I have a client, I'll call you back".... Crickets. Never heard back. After filing a better business complaint, the owner stated he filed my return but it was denied. I decided to do my own taxes on turbo tax and got my refund within 3 days. Do not trust this business and do not give them any personal information. Will be suing for my money back.
