I am visiting from out of town but needed a haircut and color as I have been away from home for over two months. It's a risk going to a salon you haven't been to, in a town you haven't been to. Because I wanted an absolutely perfect cut I asked everyone I saw who had a perfect cut and I got several "Ruth at Trio" responses. Not only did I need a very specific cut (which is hard on straight blond hair) but I also needed a color correction after my hair was wrecked at a local day spa from over processing. When I walked in it was bright and organized, clean and cute. Ruth and Kelly were both so friendly and positive, I really enjoyed my time there! My cut is one of the best I've had in years and my color is absolutely perfect. Ruth is a veteran in the field and knows what she is doing, I would trust her completely with even a very technical cut. Kelly used colors that complimented my natural tone and eliminated the nasty root/yellow blond that I had before. Very well taken care of and I WILL be back! Guys only go to the barber - right? Well, my amazing barber retired and I couldn't seem to get a decent haircut anywhere. In desperation I finally turned to Yelp and found this one review for Ruth at Trio - so I gave her a shot and I'm sold. When I get a haircut, I don't want my hair washed too - I already did that in my morning shower. I'm sure if I asked, Ruth would offer it, probably no extra charge. She remembers how I like my hair, I sit down, she cuts it perfectly, and it's a done deal. Just the way I like it. Ruth is very pleasant, casual, and friendly also. Just so I know that Ruth will be there and not booked, I call ahead for an appointment. I arrive on time, and I never wait. When I call and she's not there, I leave a message and she always calls me back (and I'm surprised at how many business people don't call you back!). Her business card has her cell phone and although I have never used it, I suppose she puts it there because she doesn't mind being called when she's not in the shop. I do pay more for a haircut from Ruth than I have paid elsewhere, but Ruth helps me look buttoned up and professional - which is important for me as a salesperson. I pay a bit more but I don't mind because I get every penny's worth - and more. Bottom line, no muss, no fuss, and she does a terrific job. read more

I am very picky about who I trust to do my hair and am new to the area. After doing some research, and reading many 5 star reviews (no reviews were less than 5 stars), I thought I would give Trio Hair Salon a try. I was VERY impressed! Kaylee went above and beyond what I asked her to do to my hair. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. She took the extra time to make sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it and gave me so many great tips! When I asked about hair care products I wasn't pushed to buy them. I was even given samples to try before purchasing the product to make sure it worked for my hair. I have NEVER had a hair salon do that for me. I absolutely love my hair and will be going back.
