Is clear to me, that this people only care about making comission, if it something where there is no comission and they can only charge you the agency fee. they would be rude and say "is company policy, i have priorities to do than care about your vacation". Be aware of Eileen or Mike, those two completetly arrogants and shouldnt be travel agents. Terrible customer service read more

Amanda Garlough helped plan a family Christmas trip to the Dominican for 11 of us, leaving from two different cities. She did a wonderful job coordinating this and got us a great deal. Having been to the area herself, she was very informed and was able to answer our many questions about the destination. read more

The technician showed me a piece of paper that said there was a 4% surcharge for using a credit card - that was not on the CAA web site and I did not agree to a surcharge when I booked. He wrote the tire location on the sidewalls instead of the tread - I had just washed the tires the previous day so they would be put away clean. He started to put summer tires on the wrong wheel and tried to convince me it was okay. He didn't know what TPMS meant and said the warning light didn't need to be reset - the light is still on. I had to call 4 times to get them to send an invoice. Unimpressed. I will be not be renewing my CAA membership this fall.

Ibrought them both of our policies and I went to them directly. I now have my second claim, ever... since owning a house for over 40 years. We have a had a house flood due to the heavy rain that has hit Ottawa this Canada Day 2026. I started calling at 7pm. I was on hold for about 2 hours, the projected wait times went up and down. Finally when there was just a few minutes remaining I realized I could no longer hear the message. The call had ended and I thought I'd missed the agent. (We were trying to set up a sump pump at that time). So... I called again... again waited over 2 hours and just when it said I had 7 minutes remaining, dead silence for about a minute and then click. I realize now I was much better off with TD Insurance.

Our journey with Labayk Hajj was marred by severe organizational issues, neglect, and a complete lack of responsibility on their part. From the very beginning, our troubles started with flight changes and hotel mismanagement. Labayk Hajj altered our flight schedule from Toronto multiple times, and as a result, we had to purchase new tickets for our local flight from Vancouver to Toronto and our non-refundable hotel reservation, resulting in a loss of over $1300 for two people. Despite promises made by one of their representatives to reimburse these costs, the owner, Bashir Mustafa, later denied any responsibility. Our main concerns were with the betrayal in Medina and on the Holy Day of Arafah. We were promised at least a few days in Medina, but when we arrived at the Medina airport, we were only allotted less than 10 hours. This was definitely not what we were promised, and this did not give us enough time to peacefully pray in the Prophet's Masjid. We had bookings to pray in Riaz Ul Jannah, but due to the company's poor planning, we missed our bookings, and a once in a lifetime opportunity. When we arrived in Arafah, it turned out there were no tents booked for us, and the pilgrims were left to face the harsh desert sun for hours! Absolutely outrageous; the whole purpose of booking through a company was to ease some of the pilgrims' burdens, not to increase them. Labbayk Hajj's incompetence, neglect, and irresponsible behaviour hardened our Hajj experience, and inflicted financial harm on our family. Please spare yourself the agony and disappointment we endured. May Allah accept the Hajj of all pilgrims.

Last summer we took a tour of Newfoundland. Travel agent Mike Tate of TripCentral Ottawa accurately assessed our needs and recommended McCarthy's Party. It was a wonderful tour. We were lucky that we actually made the tour because our initial flight out of Ottawa to Halifax was delayed due to bad weather which meant that we were going to miss the flight from Halifax to Deer Lake. The airline was of no help and indicated that the best they could do was get us there several days late. Although we had booked the flights ourselves using Air Miles, Mike gave us some advice that saved the day. He assessed the situation and since the bad weather was so widespread and there were flight delays all over eastern Canada, he estimated that our Halifax to Deer Lake flight would be delayed as well and recommended that we go even though it seemed that we could end up in Halifax with no ongoing flight and no hotel room. He also informed McCarthy's Party of our situation. We went, made it to Newfoundland late but McCarthy was there to pick us up. Amanda was wonderful! She helped us book a trip for 7people to Varadero after the hurricanes. She shared the latest news on what was damaged and what wasn't and the state of the hotel we wanted to stay at. One of the people travelling has mobility issues and Amanda was able to ask for special arrangements at the airport and hotel. Easy to deal with and very knowledgeable. I usually book my trips myself online but after dealing with Tripcentral in Carlingwood I would not hesitate to use them again. read more
