He was a good guy and had a very light hand....didn't hurt much at all. He even let me use his phone charger while we worked! Rabbit came back and checked up on us also and chatted us up a bit more. 30 min in the chair and done. Tatt looks great ..... and feels good this morning. Just touched it for the first time, I can barely feel it, my skin isn't even raised. Colour looks great. I'm very happy. Would recommend the shop and both of the men that I dealt with. True pros! I spoke to a gentleman named Travis. and he was more than helpful and asking other artists around the shop on my behalf to give me steps to remove it. definitely helped me out. wish i had him as my artist, he was very kind and a patient.

The consistency of Jon's work lacks skill, practice, and character. I went into this place on a few…read moreoccasions: the first being to tattoo my hands. Thankfully this went OK and I'm not left with anything ugly in visible areas. However, he began my half-sleeve on my forearm in 2011, split into two sessions. The first session was the outline - which went fine. The second session was supposed to complete the tattoo. It did not. I was left with a half finished tattoo that did not resemble the outline, nor was it consistent in color (some areas were blacked out to cover up his mistakes). Not to mention during the second session, he had his infant son running through the studio, pulling all of the "sterile" equipment off the carts (and distracting him while he was supposed to be doing his job). This is completely unprofessional, and would not hold up outside of small town mentality. I suppose this place appeals to most cottagers and teenagers in the Muskoka area because of accessibility and price. Unfortunately, I have to highly advise against this place. This shop does not ask you to sign a waiver, which makes them 100% liable if you should choose to pursue legal action against the shop. And if you experience has been as negative as mine, I would encourage it. After contacting a barrister about my experience with The Tattoo Shoppe/Jon Pignataro, she was forced to concur that Canada needs to regulate its tattoo and piercing industry to prevent people like this being allowed to inflict harm upon people (and get away with it). I did not proceed with legal action at the time, because the fees outweighed the (quoted) price of having it fixed elsewhere, but in hindsight - I wish I had, because it cost me far more than I had initially paid for it. Live and learn, I guess.

He was social during the tattooing keeping me occupied from the pain. I stayed and talked with the owners for a while, they are very friendly very professional. My boyfriend was over charged for his tattoo. It was quoted at $350, mins you he had already paid…read morehis deposit 2 weeks prior, so the total should have only been $300 plus taxes, but they had added his already paid deposit into his total and somehow by the end of everything he had to pay $395 (which they had added extra plus the deposit which was already paid as stated prior) After the deposit and the final payment the total amount was $451. Then when he told them the deposit was already paid they still made him pay the $395. So very unimpressed and feeling super angry.

Normally a professional artist would send ideas before the appt, so that the customer can approve or voice their opinion prior to the appt. I did not hear from him and when I showed up the day of, he only then started the sketch. I didn't agree with what he had. I had one simple lettering tattoo done that day, and have still waited for the artist to get back to me. Through one email he stated he's busy with other people's sketches who have appts booked. Mine was booked from oct 25 and he has failed to work on mine despite still having a deposit. I've asked and he won't refund my deposit and doesn't seem to want to work something out as far as doing the tatt I have a deposit in for. Very unprofessional, fraudulent at best.
