Was a no call no show for an appointment made well in advance. I took the day off of work and waited for him.

I am very pleased with this companies overall performance and pricing. I requested a last minute…read moreestimate and they were willing to take on a last minute project along with getting our project completed in a timely manner. They even offered to purchase the material (which wasn't cheap) so that it could take a lot more hassle off of our hands. This company is also bilingual so it worked out perfect. I give this company a five star review.

Mr. Ignacio Ramirez is a blessing and a wonderful person to know!…read more Our former general contractor had 3 crews attempt to do a decent drywall job in 3 rooms that we're building as part of a 40'x 20' meditation studio & store room. The work that was done prior to Ignacio Ramirez was horrendous, to say the least. Broken drywall, sloppy compound work, poor window sill construction, and an obvious lack of care was evident everywhere. My wife and I were devastated because this project means a lot to us. Mr. Ramirez showed up on time to give us an assessment and quoted us a price that day for bringing the studio to a Level 5 finish. Mr. Ramirez removed old drywall and installed new drywall to areas that could not be repaired, applied drywall compound to all surfaces, re-taped many areas that were poorly done, repaired the framing around 3 large windows, installed new corner bead to several areas, primed all surfaces, and applied a finish coat of ceiling paint to 12' ceilings. He also swept up all drywall dust and cleaned the floors before leaving the job. My wife and I are thrilled with the quality and care that Mr. Ramirez provided throughout the job. It is very evident that Mr. Ramirez takes tremendous pride in his work and it shows! Thank you, Ignacio, for turning a disaster into a gem! We can now proceed with the studio, knowing that we have a good foundation to work with. Gordon & Margarita Sampson

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!…read more I am a military member who just bought a house in Houston after an assignment in South Korea. I signed a contract from GreenVista and accepted an invoice for $4917.85 to have countertops and backsplashes installed in my home. I paid an initial deposit of $3196.60 for materials. The same day I paid the deposit, Darwin messaged me that the cost would have to go up because he misunderstood that I wanted a full backsplash in the kitchen, not just a 6 inch backsplash. He sent me another quote this time for $7961.18. I told him that was well outside my initial budget of $5000. I told him I couldn't afford that. I immediately asked for my deposit back. He asked for my bank account and routing number which I told him wouldn't work. I gave him my Zelle information. He has been promising to pay me back for nearly a month and comes up with one excuse or another. Darwin refuses to answer my phone calls, his voicemail is full. Now I have to take him to small claims court to get my money back. Save yourself from this unprofessional company. Do not trust Darwin with your money! I can't believe he treats veterans this way. Absolutely deplorable. If you don't do the work, give people their money back. It is as simple as that.

So Darwin posted a reply to my review and it is essentially what he emailed me. Here is my…read moreresponse: I am sorry you disagree with my review, but I stand by the accuracy of my review of your business - I feel a responsibility to warn everyone of businesses I believe may take advantage of people who don't have much experience working with contractors. I included it here: "They wanted money up front which is a non-starter for most people. They did not provide a contract but wanted money up front. They said it was for materials but it was $900 more than the materials that I priced and if they don't have money for materials they must not be a viable company. When I offered to buy the materials myself, their salesman Darwin acted insulted and said they don't work with people like me. I would avoid these folks as they aren't reputable" While it did contain some opinions, I believe it was an accurate recounting of our interaction (when I offered to buy the materials, you doubted my estimate and said "I think we are not the company you need for this project."). I take that response to be one of someone who is insulted by my offer and did not want to work with us because we were too cautious. Also: my estimate from the email thread below was indeed $900 less than what the invoice was asking for, so I don't see where this is "incorrectly posted" either. When I sent you an email (in the thread below) offering to compromise with you, you did not respond. That was rude and disrespectful and from my point of view a refusal to work with me because I wouldn't pay you 60% up front (saying I doubted you). I was even prepared to offer you 33% up front, but I wanted a contract so I know what the terms of the contract are. By the way, your quote did not specify I had to pay 60% up front. If it had, I would have rejected it and we could have avoided this entire thing. You don't do contracts for jobs under a certain amount? That is fine; just don't ask for money up front. You do the job and I pay you when you are done. If I hire you and don't pay you for a job, then you can file a lien on my property and that affects my credit rating, insurance costs and I can't sell the property. If you take my money and don't do the job, I have no recourse but to pursue you in small claims court (and without a contract, I am at a distinct disadvantage). Please don't talk to me about credibility; you established your lack of credibility by asking for money up front to buy materials on such a small job and then went silent when I offered to buy the materials. The purpose for my review was not to punish this company for a bad interaction with Darwin; it was simply to let people know that you should NEVER PAY MONEY up front regardless of what the contractor says. IF they are reputable, they will have an account with a building supplies company. If this is a large job, get a contract so if you decide to pay up front, you have a contract you can sue the builder with if he doesn't perform. If you have to pay, don't pay more than one third and pay when the materials are delivered or buy them yourself. AS always, check on previous history and their references. Zero feedback from customers is a bad sign.
