Beyond the seltzers, the board leans on a rotating lineup of lagers, IPAs, and amber drafts, with a heavy presence from Prison Pals, a local contract-brewery. Half the to-go cans also come from Prison Pals, and the staff, management, and menu carry a strong Argentinian identity. At this point, Unseen Creatures feels less like a wild-ale temple and more like the spiritual revival of the old Prison Pals operation in Doral. My first visit started with an Uber Eats BOGO order, but only half the meal was ready. Rather than hover like rabid raccoons, we grabbed beers and waited. Then the moral crisis arrived: let the perfectly smashed burgers cool, or eat them while at their best. Five minutes passed, and we chose the latter. That decision sent the manager into referee mode. Had he carried a whistle, he would have blown it. Had he kept cards in his pocket, he'd have flashed us a pair of reds. Apparently, the smashburger BOGO applied outside but not inside. Fair enough, but if the fries had come out on time, we never would have spent money at the bar in the first place... That said, the Bodeo Burger slapped: two smash patties, a sunny-side-up egg, and a brioche-style bun. In a city currently under siege by smashburgers, this one still earned a clean 10 out of 10. When I asked for the check, the screen showed extra tip options of +3%, +5%, or +7%. I looked at it like I had just caught a street magician palming my watch. Apparently, some banter and snug-fitting yoga pants had earned her a healthy self-applied tip. Usually, I go back one screen and adjust the number based on the severity of the sneak attack, but I let it ride. We all have dreams, bills, and maybe health-wellness coaching certifications to fund. Unseen Creatures pours solid beers and boasts a killer kitchen, but the brewery still needs to decide whether it wants to be a wild-ale house, Prison Pals reboot, or a haven for hard-seltzerists.

It's located in the heart of Brickell close to Brickell City Centre and next to Talkin' Tacos. I've passed it many times and never been before. Our comedy show was at 9pm so we got there early and you enter a bar area with a small dance floor and DJ booth. The door guy told us to wait next to the doors by DJ booth. They opened the doors a little after 9pm and let us in. There's this whole other room in the back with tons of seating, a stage and bar area. Some of the decor felt a bit outdated, but it was still a cool vibe nonetheless. The space is so big and has so much potential for improvement, We snagged seating in the middle area. There were several cozy couples seating in front of the stage but 2nd row, we didn't want to get picked on the entire night. Lol. The two main hosts of the comedy show looked like they worked at Blackbird Ordinary as they had staff jackets on. They were in our opinion, the FUNNIEST!!! Everyone also got free shots with their tickets. Nice bonus! Lemondrop shots!!! Whew, it's been a hot minute since I did shots. Ha. After they started the show, they introduced several local or out of towner comedians and honestly, it was a good diverse crew of comedians. I wish we got a list of the comedians as I would like to check out their social media pages or follow them. Overall, we had such a good time and laughed so hard our faces hurt. This comedy show was like a hidden gem. Glad we found them and would love to come back and check out other comedians.

It's funny because when you're inside and then walk outside, it's like you're walking into another dimension because of the change in music. I love it though! Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.
