This apartment complex has been experiencing water issues since May 25th, and residents have been without hot water ever since. I have been forced to boil water to wash dishes and find alternative ways to shower every day. What is most concerning is the complete lack of communication from our Portfolio Manager, Denver Maddax. We have not received a single update since Monday. This is extremely disrespectful to the residents of this building, who are dealing with a significant disruption to their daily lives. The lack of empathy and transparency regarding this situation has left many of us feeling frustrated and helpless in our own homes. It takes only a few minutes to provide residents with an update, even if there is no definitive resolution yet. Regular communication and an estimated timeline for repairs would go a long way toward showing residents that their concerns are being taken seriously. We deserve better communication and accountability regarding an issue that has affected our basic living conditions for weeks. read more

I don't live in this building, but my review is more directed at Cornerstone as a whole. I have lived in 2156 S University Blvd for the past two years and never had an issue with renewing my lease until Cornerstone bought it. I sent them multiple emails, which they never replied to, then I called them and said they would send me my lease renewal by end of day. They never sent it. So now, I am having to move out on very short notice because they never sent me a notice to vacate, they just expected me to be fine with paying $700 to go month to month, on top of the added fees to my rent every month. They have refused to cooperate in anyway. Not to mention they won't do any maintenance on my building because it's one of their less "glamorous" properties, and therefore not worth their time apparently. I have never had such a terrible experience with a property management team. read more

During my time at Trivium I lived in 2 different units. Both units had dripping A/C units that led to mold issues in the apartment. Both times maintenance did little to nothing to fix the issue. Not only that, but when I moved out most recently I was charged for the replacement of the carpet/paint/drywall that was a result of the mold (in both the bedroom in bathroom). Unreserved parking was constantly overflowed, leaving me with nowhere to park when I came home from work most nights, and every year it takes at least 2 weeks of hot/cold weather until the property decides to switch the cooler on/off in order to provide us the ability to appropriately thermoregulate our living space. read more

He was always available to answer our questions and when we needed to have a moving pod dropped in the parking lot he helped us by putting traffic cones out to mark the spots for the delivery truck. Ever since I have moved in the AC has NOT worked leaving my place unbearably hot. I have to go outside in the summer heat to cool down and there solution was to just open a window when back inside. During the summer! I have been asking multiple times for them to fix this and have started to research legal options about what I can do I.e withholding rent. This also includes the fact I don't always have hot water, which is another landlord requirement for an apartment to be livable. There have been various occasions where I just never had hot water or had the water running for as long as a show to make it lukewarm. I even repeatedly checked on it throughout the whole time to see if it would warm. Additionally, while I was on vacation their main waste line broke and had damaged the first floor. This isn't even the first time they've had trouble with their stuff. The power has gone out, they've had to turn off water because of another problem and now this. These are just things I remember and I've only lived here since the end of July. I don't even know when they are going to have someone come clean my apartment. But, knowing them it's going to take another three months for this to get done. They've never truly renovated any of the important parts of the building, which is why YOU CAN'T control the temperature. the whole AC system doesn't make sense and won't let you make your apartment cooler than the current temperature. So they make you buy all kinds of fans to cool yourself down, but this just increases your energy bill because of their inadequacy to actually fix or make changes. Despite the fact you are shelling over thousands of dollars every month for them to ensure our homes are adequate to live in. In addition to this, i had large volumes of important belongings still in boxes that have now potentially been ruined because of this waste line incident. Also, if you live here, be prepared for outrageous additional fees they'll keep tacking as the year goes on. Want bad parking you may not even get? 30 dollars. Reserved parking? 75 dollars. Covered? 125 bloody dollars. dont want to pay for parking? Good thing there's street parking, but you better wake up before 8 or park there after 10 or else you'll have to pay Denver's ticketing fee. Then the pool is always dirty. I literally saw them use hose water to fill up the pool on more than one occasion. It wasn't even blue water. It was a weird tealish green. In addition to all of this, you'll have to pay 3.25 every time you'll want to do laundry. But, it has to be through an app, which needs all your information so you can have clean clothes. Do NOT recommend living here until they get better management, update their outdated equipment so it's actually worth the money to live here, and do their jobs. Especially since rent is over 1,200 dollars a month for what was told to be a good place to live. It can be better one of the better places to live since it's right near the university and has all kinds of shops around it. But, actually living here is like you've given up on life and don't know where to go. The maintenance guy is cool, though. Only cool and good thing about the place. read more

This is the WORST apartment that I have ever lived in. Please save yourself the trouble and don't even consider this place. -Our hot water and AC was shut off the first two weeks we lived here in the middle of July. There have been 4 water shut offs just in the month of December. -The air was also turned off in the beginning of October, and if you know Denver, it still reaches 78 degrees until the end of November. -The appliances are so cheap they break very easily. The floors scratch at the drop of a pen. -Maintenance issues are terrible. They came into our apartment to fix a leak and left dog pee on the floor, our doors wide open (which were initially shut), and our personal belongings thrown on the floor). -We had mold growing on our ceiling due to the bathroom fan not being fixed which took them 3 months to "order parts" and fix. -You are right next to the highway which is extremely loud and if you were as lucky as I was to live by the dumpsters, be ready to wake up at 5 am on a Saturday morning. -The hallways smell absolutely terrible. -The washer and dryers are SO EXPENSIVE and break all the time. Then it takes weeks and weeks to even fix (and there are only 4 washers and dryers total). -The pool is absolutely disgusting all the time. The worst part is that Matt and Corporate know of all these issues but have done absolutely nothing to fix the continuous problems that are being brought up. They do not care about your living situation they only care about your money. And you will be paying way too much to live here with the terrible services and customer service. Living in this apartment for a year while attending Graduate School at DU was a nightmare. The only reason I never bought out of my contract was because I had no time to deal with that. The management team is awful, do not care about any of the residents, and will look you in the face and walk away while you are asking for help. The maintenance guys are super sweet, but the system is so messed up to the point of me having to wait 2 MONTHS just to get a bathroom sink fixed. The hallways smell like socks and toilet water. The air conditioning/heat unit broke down completely a total of 7 times just in my first 6 months and when the unit was "fixed" the apartment couldn't get any colder than 82 degrees F... If you feel cold during the winter or hot during the summer...you're out of luck and will be told by the management team to deal with it. Management does not communicate with the residents and will take all of your money at any chance that they get. DO NOT LIVE HERE. read more

This year has been difficult to say the least with the Covid-19 pandemic. I have lived here at trivium since September and Hannah has been my main person of contact during this time. She has gone above and beyond and has made huge efforts to ensure our residency here be an enjoyable experience. She has answered all of our calls and emails in a prompt and professional manner, and has worked with us through any negative impacts we have experienced from Covid-19. The entire trivium staff has proven that their primary concern is the satisfaction of their residents. read more

This is the worst place to live in Denver. I spent a full year with a leaking AC unit because it did not have a drip pan. I inquired multiple times but never got fixed. The price for what you get is horrible. It's old smelly and mice infested. I had countless problems and these crooks felt like they deserved half of my deposit when I moved out bc the bath tub wasn't clean enough. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! read more

This apartment has bad sewer lines and earlier this year the sewage came up through the pipes in the sub-basement apartments. The tenants obviously tried to move out, but the apartment will not let them break their contract without signing a non-disclosure agreement. If you are considering moving into this apartment, speak with some of the tenants first. This building is disgusting and full of flies. read more

The pictures posted by management are doctored up. The "remodeling" of the complex was so poorly done. The "wood" floors are really made of plastic. The appliances are the cheapest they could buy. The washers and dryers still haven't been replaced even though we were promised by the previous property managers and current managers. When are they going to be replaced???? I've asked you clowns 6 flipping times now???? When??? The heating/cooling boiler is 50 years old. They use 1960's technology to heat & cool the units. The thermostat in your units do nothing. If you don't believe me, feel free and ask management how the heating and cooling works in the units. You'll love the response. The fun doesn't end. I have neighbors who scream and yell and the male was arrested for domestic violence. He even smashed the window of someone's else's car, yet he still lives in the complex. Feel free and read the reviews on Google about this dump. Managements responses are absurd and pointless filled with half-truths and broken promises. Amazing. The incompetency of ownership & management is breathtaking. Brand new apartment complexes continue to open on a regular basis all around Denver, including the University of Denver area. There are so many negatives to living here just don't do it too many other better places for the prices Trivium charges. First of all the AC for the entire building is constantly out leaving the apartments swelting, is that what we pay high rent for?? Inexcusable!! Takes forever to get it fixed then goes out again! Second, TOWING, my car was towed on 2 different occassions and Ive only lived here several months even with my sticker in my window, I don't know if the leasing people don't register vehicles seems like the tow company just comes and tows without looking which is ridiculous last time it was Saturday night my car got towed at 9:30pm, & then how are visitors to park here the office is ALWAYS CLOSED, and the office/leasing people are disorganized and unhelpful. Im scared to have anyone come visit me in fear their car is towed! The pool is always closed and when open is DIRTY!!! I am reporting this apartment complex to Housing Authorities as this is not tolerable for the prices we pay to rent and to PARK in Triviums very unsecured parking lot, my neighbors car was broken into during the night in their lot!! Maintaince here is terrible takes forever to get anything fixed, pathetic Trivium so many places in Denver to rent this one is NOT one of them. read more

This is the worse apartment experience & cant believe its allowed to go on for the prices they charge!! AC is always breaking, always hot even when working same with the heat!!! If something is broken forget about getting it fixed, they just don't care, no customer service no one cares once they have your contract!! Wyatt Towing has a contract with them and Ive actually see them waiting on side of Trivium to tow your car for some made up reason or if someone god forbids visits you and Trivium doesn't care and WILL NOT do anything about this even if your towed and in the right - what a scam!!!!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS ONE BIT!! The kitchens don't even have MICROWAVES almost every apt & hotel has at least a microwave!! Look at all the horrible reviews when you see so many you know how mad these apartments are and the management is!! This speaks for itself!! So if you want a subpar apartment where you sweat in the summer and freeze in the winter, where the pool is constantly dirty and not take care of, where your car is towed for $140 for just parking in your lot, where things are broken or fallen apart and never to get fixed, where smells are disgusting etc etc etc then let these crooks steal your money!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!! I would give this place zero stars if I could. First, everything in the apartment is cheap and breaks. Once it is repaired (if it ever even gets repaired because most things will not), it breaks again quickly due to the cheap repairs. Management constantly makes excuses, even though it all comes down and back to poor management all around. They will also lie to you and tell you for 3 months that they're "waiting on parts" or "are unable to fix it in the next few days" but really the company just doesn't care. I also had no air conditioning for the first two weeks and again for another two weeks during the hottest days of summer. Also, I had no heat during the winter as well. The water gets shut off weekly due to "emergency repairs" which indeed are not actually emergencies. The entire apartment complex/the hallways smells like dirty socks mixed with rotting garbage at all times. The leasing manager will not help you with any of your issues. The lease is super landlord favoring, and you will not be able to break your lease even with all of these issues! The maintenance men also threw my personal items all over my room when I was not home (the items were not in the way of their repair either). Corporate (AKA BOUTIQUE AND WHEELHOUSE APARTMENTS) also will not help you with any of these issues. All in all, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
