It's also worth noting that there has been a sudden increase in 5-star reviews in the weeks since Birdie came home, which stood out to us because we hadn't seen that level of review activity before.

Fabian at the Dog Wizard was able to turn everything around for us thankfully. We boarded Bear at the facility in US 64 and Fabian worked with him daily. What he graduated from the program he was sitting and lying down in his place every time we asked. Before training he refused to go on walks because of his intense fear. Now, we take him on walks around the neighborhood every day. Not only was Fabian effective but he has repeatedly offered to meet up with us to work with Bear for no extra charge. Every two weeks we also can attend alumni classes on a Saturday at local parks which helps Bear keep up his training. I can't say enough about how great of a job Fabian did. He saved Bear's life. Fasr forward to now, I called Julie, a little panicky because my spouses Parkinson's was progressing making it harder to make Willow as happy as she could be. Julie took Willow for a week long boot camp and what a change after a few days. She came back to us much happier and more than willing to do what we ask of her. When we got them back they went from completely untrained to trained in every way! Door manners, in the car, on the leash, and other basic commands, you name it! She has, however, progressively begun aggressive behaviour towards other dogs, and manipulative behaviour with us over the last year and we were at wits end to try to effect a change. Another local trainer who doesn't handle aggression referred us to Cheryl at Last Paw who met with us for an evaluation session within a couple of days. Cheryl quickly identified 'in-house' manipulative behaviour that Tessa was doing to control us and showed us how easy it was to begin to modify. We have booked several follow-up sessions to work on the dog-on-dog issues. Cheryl is an animal psychology professional, and I do not use this term lightly. If you meet her you will quickly learn how little most of us understand about simple bad habits in owner behaviour that enable all the undesirable habits in our dogs. She is very gentle but assertive and had our Tessa eating out of her hand in minutes. My wife asked her to move in with us. We look forward to our next session in a couple of days.
