No one ever called me back after my initial phone call. I sent them pictures nothing after two weeks. I wrote the company and let them know not to call me back as they are not dependable. I used this company before and took forever to get them to my home. When i threatened to cancel my service the first time, A guy came by an pulled of a couple of the screens at almost dark.. assuming to gurantee I did not cancel the first time. We were planning on getting our porch screened in. We did some research, got quotes and after having a tech come out and talk to us about the pricing and what they'd recommend, we proceeded to go with Tropical Enclosures. We scheduled for the following week and Blake and his crew were ready at 9:30 am. He went over the initial plan and asked if there was anything we wanted to change/add. He even got us a quote on the spot to see what it would cost to extend the original plan. We decided to go with the original plan. They got the materials and started around 10:30/11. By 2 pm they completed the entire project. He gave us a few tips, we paid, and they were on their way. Pros: -Start to finish the process was easy breezy -Liked the fact that we had the option to extend our patio (if we wanted to) -Time to screen everything in was roughly 4 hours -I liked the fact that we were given the option of having a larger door to access the porch from the outside. Cons: -None that I'm aware Tips: Let the sealant dry before sweeping in your new screened in porch (we were given that tip, as the sealant is tacky for up to 24 hours after installed). read more

I have been waiting over a month to get my work done from the day they said it would first be done. It is held up my entire project. Every week they promise they will be out and every week they put me off another week. I think they are just too busy to get work done and they over promise and under deliver. Hopefully the work will be done to my satisfaction. In the meantime though I have rain and water pouring into my back porch, bugs, birds everything getting caught in there. Extremely annoying to be told one thing and be put off over and over. I have started calling them every day in an effort to get the job done but I still just keep getting put off till the next week. If it doesn't happen this coming week I will have to hire someone else. Hopefully I will get my deposit back. I worked with them once before and they left screens hanging for days before coming back to complete the job. I would go with someone else! read more

PLEASE READ THIS. It all started with promises of there are no issues here and this will go quickly. Then came the repeated requests for a survey which had already been supplied. We supplied 2 more. Then nothing for else for months. (of note, the deposit was already paid.) Then an email informing us no work will be started because one of their "departments" was not comfortable with the already long since completed paver and cement work which had been permitted, inspected and approved by county and hoa. All was licensed contractor work. Of note this is work that was done NO WHERE NEAR where we wanted the enclosure installed which meant it was no concern of theirs anyways. But if one is looking for ways to further delay. These people are very good at fabricating excuses. Poor communicators. read more

Paid for 2 screened enclosures so my dog could run around the porches. Paid extra for the Super Screen because it is warranted for 10 years. Was informed by Steven during proposal appointment that the screen was recommended since it was for my dog. They did a great job on the enclosures. However, my screens were damaged by a squirrel and they did not return my call and their voicemail says they are not returning service calls. Why sell warranted screens if you don't call back and don't honor the warranty. I am very disappointed in the customer service and their responses to social media. The enclosure quality was good. The customer service and professionalism after they get your money is bad. Therefore, I would recommend going elsewhere that follows through with their warranties and provides reasonable customer service. read more

I initially selected Tropical Enclosures because of their longevity of doing business. However my recent experience with them left me doubtful they would provide good service. My first appointment went great. However when I called to move forward the rep lost my measurements and said he had to come back. I was headed out of town and told him iid call back. I left a message when I returned and he didn't respond until days later. He scheduled an follow up appointment but he was a no-show. He called back to reschedule but her came with the wrong contract amount. He said he would fix it and provide an update within 2 day... he didn't. Too many red flags. I sent the company an email to ask them to hold moving forward and I explained my concerns.... no one bothered to call me back. It just doesn't seem like it would be good to work with them anymore. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH TROPICAL ENCLOSURES BUYER BEWARE I signed a contract with Tropical Enclosures for a screen enclosure in December 2021. The salesman Steven told me it would take approximately 14-16 weeks to start the job. I told them at that time I would supply the cement footers because they don't do cement work and had to subcontract it to a third party. I had a quote from a cement company for 25% less than Tropical Enclosures had quoted me. Unfortunately, by the end of January, 2022, the cement company backed out of their quote. I spent 2-3 weeks trying to line up someone else to do the footers with no luck, and decided to let Tropical Enclosures do the entire job. On March 4, 2022 I texted salesman Steven to please proceed with the job, including the cement footers. We soon spoke on the phone, and Steven said they would proceed. No issues were raised by Steven. After 2 1/2 months of waiting to hear from Steven, I had to call him repeatedly to find him. We finally connected in mid-June, THREE MONTHS AFTER MY GO AHEAD. Steven said the engineering came back wrong. He then called me back a few days later and said the "powers that be" (Kevin N. and Scott N.) refuse to honor the contract because too much time had passed. I was furious because from December to the time in March that I gave them the go ahead was well within the time frame discussed. Nothing was said in March about any issues with the contract. Now after three more months of them doing nothing, they want to cancel the contract. Steven assured me that Tropical Enclosures would refund my entire 10 percent deposit, since they were the ones cancelling the contract. About a week after my discussion with Steven, I received a check from Tropical Enclosures but they had withheld approximately one third of my deposit, with no explanation. I called at least a dozen times to talk to the owners, Kevin N. and/or Scott N., but my calls were ignored. No one in the office could give me any explanation. No one called me back. They just kept my money. There is nothing in the contract warning that monies may be withheld from your returned deposit. This is totally unacceptable and unethical. These guys are not to be trusted. Sadly can't speak for their quality of work, because we never got the opportunity to work with them since they have an inability to get back to people. I initially reached out to them for a quote 2.5 weeks ago. Alana replied timely asking for additional information, which I sent to her 63 minutes later. A week later, I still hadn't heard, so I reached out to her to see when we might expect to receive our quote as we had heard from other companies but would love to consider them, too. No reply. A few more days go by so I call and speak to Kaitlyn who assured me she'd call me back in 10 minutes with an answer of when I might expect to receive that. Never did get a call back. I then emailed Alana again (3rd follow-up) and explained that we really needed to make a decision by the end of that day. I then get an email back from Alana the next day assuring me she would have our quote to us the next day. That was now a week ago and i'm still yet to see any quote (and yes, I checked my junk folder). I get everyone's busy, good for you, but that's no excuse to promise something continuously and not deliver. If i'm having to chase them up constantly to do business with them, I can only imagine what they'd be like if there was a problem. We found another company, that actually appreciates our business. There's a lot of options out there, and I personally would not waste my time on a company that fails to even get you in the door. read more

Had to call three times to get a service date. When no one showed up by 9:00 I called and was lied to (told the crew was on its way). Called back 90 minutes later and was told they were actually delayed at another job, but the Office Manager will call me. Three hours later still no call. Not hearing a response I e -mailed him...no response. I then called the main office...I received a call back and was told I would hear something soon. That was 5 WEEKS Ago. had a panel that needed to be replaced from the hurricanes, called and made an appointment. The appointment was set out past 40 days had one reschedule as well. The crew showed up the day of the second appointment hohumed on whether they could do the job due to the height of my enclosure. they left to get more equipment and I had to leave when I returned they had only replaced one panel, left the other one flapping with no notification as to why it wasn't replaced. I called later to and informed them that they had only replaced one panel. I was told that they were not going to be able to replace that panel. They charge me 420 bucks for the one run. Then sent me an invoice for two panels at $420 completely unprofessional. I do not recommend at all they should be ashamed of themselves. Had to pay another company a fee to change out a 3 x 3 portion right next to the one that they had changed out. read more
