My girlfriend and I went to get smoothies and paid using Apple Pay. After the money was deducted from my account, the employee told us the payment didn't go through, mentioning that their Apple Pay system sometimes malfunctions. We ended up paying again with a physical card and were told the original charge would be refunded in 3-5 business days. After waiting a few days, I realized the refund never came through. I tried calling the store at least 30 times with no response, only to later find out their phone was broken. I also messaged other locations since this one didn't have an Instagram account, but we don't live in the area, so it was a hassle to reach them. Eventually, my girlfriend went back to the store to speak with someone in person but was told the manager wasn't there, and there probably wasn't much they could do. Today, we went back again, hoping to resolve the issue or at least get a voucher. The workers called the owner, but he said we needed to print out a copy of the transaction and write a statement. We asked if it would be easier to just give us a free smoothie, but he refused and insisted on the printed statement. When we offered to email or text it to him, he claimed he didn't have an email. Long story short, if you visit this place, avoid using Apple Pay, and double-check to make sure you're not charged twice. The owner was unhelpful, but the workers did their best to assist. read more

Not sure why you do not give receipts when paying in cash, but if you pay with cash and credit your credit card total should not be more than the actual cost of the order. Have have been here twice and the service is always great and 5he smoothies are really good. They have a frequent customer stamp card which is nice you get a free smoothie on your 10th or 11th visit so that's great. I usually come here after a workout. These smoothies are better than the one LA fitness makes. If you're ever wanting a quick snack and are around this area I say go pick up a smoothing from here. After taking a small jog and feeling kind of hungry, i looked around chapel hill road for something to eat. I did not see much that fit my extremely healthy life style, until i looked into the old plaza between Johnny's and Provinos and read the sign that said "Tropical Smoothies". I am always skeptical about smoothie places with all these "flavorings" out now, but i figured i would give it a shot. I walked inside and felt a little more confurtable as i looked along the counter to see adds for marathons coming up and health foods along the counter and in the cooler. The menu made me feel even better, as the ingredients for each smoothie were all listed and were all very healthy. I ordered the blackberry bird, which was strawberry, blackberry, banana, and non-fat milk, and i also ordered a shot of wheat grass. I half expect her to use all of those flavoring pumps on the counter (which later i found out to be all natural juices. Sorry for making such quick decisions) but instead she grabbed some fresh fruit from behind the counter and threw it in there. It was awesome. And then came the wheat grass. I was very much suprised when i witnessed the lady behind the counter get actually wheat grass and grind it up until it was juice. Amazing! Though it was a bit expensive (about $6.50 for a medium), the portion size is huge! A small looks almost 24oz. And the medium was about 32! After paying i tasted the smoothie, and it was delicious. I drank down the wheat grass shot, and even it was not half bad. Next time, i will have to try one of the "Naturally Delicious" breads they had packaged on the counter (i read the ingredient list, and could actually understand most of them!) like banana nut, low-fat pumpkin spice, or one of the health cookies they had. So whether you are a very active person in need of a power smoothie, or if you just want something yogurty and fruity, i would recommend this small restaurant without doubt as probably one of the healthiest meal or snack places in douglasville. -Andrew D. I have been having a craving for smoothies and decided to see if anyone by me offered them. This was one of the only places I found and it is on the way to work so I decided to give them a try. The guy mentioned in other reviews was there and I can see what they are saying. He was not rude he just did not smile or talk. His face is also stern. As far as the menu, they have an entire wall full of more combinations than I ever thought existed. I mean it is so diverse and you can customize by adding more fruit and boosters (immunity support, fat burner,etc.) I only read through half the menu and didnt see any mango which i love adding with banana, raspberry and strawberry but surely they should have it given some of the other ingredients. They also offer different sizes which I love because sometimes I am way too greedy for my own good and just want a gallon of smoothie instead of food (lol). The prices are pretty good. A basic 10-12oz 1-2 fruit smoothie usually runs 4.50-5.00 in metro Atlanta. Here you get a 22oz. It cannot be beat. If you arent in the mood for a smoothie they also offer juice and shots for immunity support. I was surprised to see a small assortment of protein bars, cookies and cake. I ordered a large smoothie on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021. There were not any long straws available, so I got a short one; which did not reach the bottom of the cup. When the smoothie was to a point in which the straw was not long enough, I removed the lid to drink it like a regular drink. When I got near the bottom of the cup, a one inch long piece was metal was in the drink. Naturally, I went back to the store to speak with the manager. However, the manager was not available. When I showed the person that made my smoothie what was in my cup, she did not seem to be phased at all. Not even an "I am so sorry, sir." All she said was, "Do you want your money back?" She did not at all seem concern that I could have swallowed the metal and been choked to death. Even if I had not choked, the piece of metal could have destroyed my insides. So today I finally decided to try out this smoothies place because it's close by where I live and I honestly miss my Smoothie King fix. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they also make and sell juice. I use to be an avid juicer so I opted for a juice instead of a smoothie. Huge mistake on my part because my juice was absolutely terrible. I don't remember the name of the juice but it has beets, apples, ginger and lemon. It honestly tasted like someone blended these ingredients together. It was gritty and the ginger overwhelmed everything.. my throat still burns from having drunk this. Little disappointed with the quality of my order, after reviewing the menu online a friend was going and I told him what i wanted ( 2 piece bikini ) come to find out they don't have that on the menu and had to piece it together in order to make what they hoped was what I wanted. Telling my friend they hope it taste good because we had to add more to mix with cocoa mixture, instead of just telling him they don't make that one or its an old menu item online. I visited this place today and the smoothie had other ingredients besides fruit. I asked their employee what they 'add' and she said nothing but fresh fruit or yogurt. WELL, that was not the case because they do use some kind of strawberries in a sweet syrup that contained a ton of sugar. I called the store and this is exactly what their employee told me over the phone, so they are not using only fresh strawberries. Keep in mind that these strawberries in syrup are in most of their smoothies. It was so sweet that I trashed it in the nearest can. This was over the top sweet. I will never order anything with strawberries in it because the sugar is a big "no, no" for people who are really health conscious. From the taste, it had to be at least 40 to 50 grams of sugar (or even more) in the medium sized drink. In fact, they tell you they do not have the nutritional information posted like fast food restaurants, which leads me to believe they do not want to put any light on the sugar content. If this is a truly healthy smoothie, then why not share the health value? I found nutritional value for 2 of their smoothies online, which DID NOT contain their sugar content. I make all fruit smoothies at home and they are no where near as sweet as this one. If you do not want sugar loaded fake all real fruit smoothie, then do not go here. read more
