I read some reviews that were making me hesitate but the service was so good! I just wanted gel polish and I had chosen one with cat eye but didn't know what that was. It's an effect like adding chrome or something, but it costs extra. I didn't realize that because I was just choosing the color on the wheel of nails they have. So when I chose, they let me know that one was extra and recommended I just get the same color without cat eye because it maybe wouldn't be worth it on just my nails with no acrylic or anything he said he might come off easier and didn't want me to waste money. I definitely appreciate the honesty because I feel most salons wouldn't do that. ***Manicure*** I also got a manicure with the gel polish and it has been great! All I wanted was to feel that most advertised "on all their signs" and even every where else that I've ever seen head spas advertised was to experience the halo water ring!!! But she didn't even use it, just washed my hair a few times and massaged my head like a hair salon wash- I could've just paid to go to a hair salon and leave with a hairdo instead of combing through my wet hair myself at the end and walking out with a wet head! In town for a few days and a friend recommended Tropical Nails on the Square. Had a pedi & mani fill-in w gel polish. Pedicure was great. I can't remember the name of the young lady who did it, but it was relaxing and wonderful. I selected the Luna package, which smelled wonderful. Ken did my fill-in and polish. He did an amazing job. This nail salon is TERRIBLE. Please save yourself the money and don't go here. I don't write reviews often but my experience was so bad that I had to. I got the delux pedicure. Not sure what was Felix about if because they did not remove my calluses (see picture) and didn't even wash the mask off my legs properly. I was also charged $12 for a polish change, which is ridiculous and would have been fine if they actually did a good job. But as you can see from the pics the he applied the polish in such a thick layer that it is lumpy. And on top of doing a poor job, the staff was rude. The color samples they had did not match what the polish actually looked like and when I kindly said I may need to try a few different ones to get the shade I wanted the man snapped at me asking what color I wanted. NEVER AGAIN‼‼ So I talked to Kim to schedule a nail and lash appt 1 WEEK prior to the appointment and SENT A $50 deposit to hold my spot. The day off, I came in an hour early to get my feet done and to wait for my appointment that I paid to secure. Kim comes to me and tells me she didn't see an appointment with me. Mind you we had been texting and I sent her $50. I told her to go get her phone because ain't no way. Kim is clearly greedy for money. She had a person literally WALK IN for her and her daughter to get a full set and fill in, AGAIN, my appointment was supposed to be secured for 1p. Kim said she would have someone else do my nails because she had too many customers and clearly wanted to satisfy the people who had just walked in instead of me who paid $50 for my 1p appt. She states that she could do my lashes if I let someone else do my nails. AS IF SHE WASNT ALREADY SUPPOSED TO DO MY LASHES the nail technician that did my toes was very unprofessional and rude. The lady who Kim said would do a good job and exactly what I asked for, COULD IN FACT NOT DO IT. I had to tell her to just do something simple because she was messing up and doing it over, messing up and doing it OVER. Kim was gonna charge me 135 for cat eye volume but reduced it to 110 because of the "inconvenience".The day prior I asked her what could she do for 110 because 135 was too much and I know people who do BETTER and CHEAPER so that's really why she charged me 110. This place is TRASH with inexperienced nail technicians. NEVER AGAIN IN LIFE WOULD I STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE. ALSO..... IT'S ONLY BEEN 4 DAYS AND MY 135 now 110 LASHES ARE FALLING OUT. This was a complete waste of money I'm so disappointed & mad with myself for just not walking out when the toe man was being so rude!!! I had already been there since 12 and had plans. I will keep going to Lush Nail Bar in Conyers where I know at least all or most of their nail techs are EXPERIENCED, & professional. YALL NEED TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS. So I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the first time I went I was seated and then left there for an hour. Then a lady brought me the bowl to soak my dipped nails in. Then the lady that was going to do my nails didn't know how to do the ombré dip so after an hour and 45 mins I told them just to take off my nails I had somewhere to be and I didn't want my nails rushed. She told me to come back later and that she was sorry for how busy it was. Now onto when I came back later that night. Yes I did come back because it was extremely busy so maybe they just need to work on their timing better. And boy am I glad I did.! When I can back I was sat at table 5. I am not sure of her name but she is the reason for 4 stars.! This lady did an OUTSTANDING job!!! After waiting over 40 mins and repeatedly advising that I wanted a fresh set. He proceeded to grab my hands and cut with a nail clipper. No soak off or filing down first. He cut so close into my nail bed at that. The disrespect! After call it stating that if he was In a rush I could leave he throws my hands and said then go. Wow! The first time I visited I called ahead of time and was advised a time to come. Upon arriving I waited over 20 mins before being assigned a tech, only to be sat and waited for additional 40 mins. The salon is beautiful, but the actual service was horrible. I had one of the men that was there as soon as they unlocked the door. He was polite but the result was terrible. The layer of acrylic was too thick, the nails weren't shaped correctly. Man I'm super sad because this place is right by my house and this is the most half-ass pedicure I've ever had. They didn't put anything in the tub just like warm water for your feet to soak, didnt take care of my ingrown toenails even though I just asked him to, and as you can see by my photo there was no hot towel for my feet only my calves. The worst place to get a pedicure. The salon is nasty and dingy feeling. First off i was left in ice cold water for approximately 45 minutes. The tools brought out of a "sterilized" package were rusted. When my tech told me to go sit under the dryer I had polish all over my toes and had to ask her to clean it up. This place is so wonderful. The owner makes sure that you always feel special and appreciated. For a pedicure, they rub your toes, feet, and legs which when you are tired is awesome. Everything is CLEAN and sparkling. If you have young daughters, consider booking a birthday party, mother/daughter day, or special event. My sister in law and I came here about two weeks ago to get our nails done, and I also got my eyebrows waxed. I called ahead and made an appointment for us to get mani/pedis and for my eyebrows. The pedi part must have not been communicated well enough because this part was not in their books for us. After reading the reviews I was very nervous to go here. I do not have long nails at all, and I didn't want someone to make me feel bad about it. I also had to bring my two and half year old, and I was nervous they would be rude about that. My sister in law had been going there for a while and assured me they were nice and not that rude. I believe the older lady working there that morning recognized my sister in law and immediately started talking to her. We selected our colors, and the older lady had my sister in law sit in her chair and I went to the technician named Kia. She was fantastic! She was very personable, so nice, and assured me that my nails were not the shortest that she's ever painted. It was my first gel manicure and I loved it. Kia did a great job! Since our pedicures were not scheduled, my sister in law was unable to get one, but Kia was able to squeeze me in to get one! I will definitely go back there to see Kia, and get my nails done again. I recommend making an appointment, especially if you're going to go on a weekend. The reason I took off a star is because of my eyebrows. The older woman did my eyebrows, and she didn't do a horrible job, but I have had much better. She just did them so quickly, and didn't bother to tweeze the little hairs left behind or anything. So later that night. Make an appointment for your nails here, and make it with Kia! She's wonderful! They were also very understanding and nice about my daughter being with us. That day was my husband's birthday and we had plans for dinner. I was doing some shopping on the square. Well I locked my keys in my car lol So now I have to wait and take care of this.
