Its extremely frustrating that the past 3 times I have ordered a quesadilla, it says it comes with the tomato salsa, but only gives you the option to select no sauce, or barbecue sauce, I select no sauce because it said IT COMES WITH the tomato salsa. Im not sure if its the new staff or what it is but im not sure why every time i get a quesadilla now i open it up and there no salsa to be found. This is like the third time now and it ruins my meal because that is my favorite part so please get your stuff together trop. Great spot for lunch on the weekends. Boars Head meat makes their deli sandwiches and wraps great, but even "Popeye's Favorite" with spinach, chicken, and bacon is a winner. Moderate prices for wraps and sandwiches. The VIP card is well worth the added bulk to your wallet. My partner and I can earn something free within 4 or 5 visits! read more

Since I moved to the Ashburn area, I needed to find another tropical smoothie location. The hubby and I were in the Herndon area when we were feening for a smoothie and we were right by the Herndon Tropical Smoothie location but we didn't want to deal with that location. On our way home, we called this Ashburn location to place a to go order for smoothies. I told the worker I would be there in two minutes and he said no problem! When I got there the employees were expecting me and my smoothie was ready! The service at this location is fast and the people are really nice. I will be back to this location and I am very happy with the fast service I received and the quality of my smoothie! read more

I am extremely annoyed that this location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe turns off online ordering at "busy times" and then I walk in and it's completely empty. During this trip, I was told that the kids meal with quesadillas doesn't come with a side. Yes it does. I get one every single time I come. And trust me, if my kids didn't like this place, you would never see me. Stop the insanity, let people use their technology to give you money. read more

I love this franchise and so I come here once a week with my fiancé but every time I come to this location someone disappears for 5 minutes after taking my order without letting me know what's happening with my smoothie. Seems like no one is taking care of this place anymore. My wraps are falling apart, the soda machine has been out of order for months, to-go bags are generic chinese take-out variety, side items are gone, etc. Tons of new employees who seem miserable. No management to be seen anywhere. Don't understand how this is a part of the rest of the chain who I've seen done excellent. Tropical Smoothie Cafe has delicious, healthy smoothies & tasty, satisfying wraps. Try the Jamaican Jerk wrap, it's delicious. Never had a BAD experience here, but when you order from somewhere 4-5 times a week (I worked 1/2 a mile down the road), your order is bound to get messed up once in a while. I love that they add Splenda to reduce the calories in their smoothies. The owners know me as a regular, and are exceptionally friendly. read more

I love that they make healthy food at a reasonable price but I've always had terrible service. During my last visit I had ordered through the app but when I arrived at the store they claimed they didn't get an order under my name but then found it and said, "Oh here it is." I checked my order once I got in my car and my flatbreads were completely different than what I had ordered. I went back and they politely remade my order but still got it slightly wrong. I gave 2 stars because the smoothie was good. Listen, I love Tropical Smoothie, It's much cheaper than Robecks, but dang the service was awful. When I arrived there were people just milling about waiting for their orders. I proceeded to order than waited for about 20 minutes for a SMOOTHIE... people were coming in to pick up ONLINE orders but some of the orders were missing stuff... I don't know if they were understaffed but they were very slow. Again if I would have known it was gonna be that long I wouldn't have got a smoothie, no one said anything about the wait. read more

Terrible experience today, submitted an on-line order at 2:21 today, got to the store saw they were behind. We checked in to see the status at 2:30, said it's in line. We waited and then witnessed people who orders after us get their drinks, again u asked about the status, the young staff said we are working on it and I gave our name again. It's now 2:46, 25 minutes after we ordered.. it was so bad my daughter ordered chipotle o line walked down picked up our food and or order already 30 minutes late was still not ready. Finally after my third inquiry and asking to speak to the manager, did we get our drinks after 3:00, 40 mins later. The shift manager said it was pushed to the side, never apologized. Clearly the young staff was not ready to be left alone and the service was terrible!!! read more

Do yourself a favor and do NOT just get the smoothies at Tropical Smoothie... while they are excellent, the food is FANTASTIC. Some personal favorites that I'd always recommend are the buffalo chicken wrap, thai chicken wrap, totally turkey, and wasabi roast beef sandwich (the lowest calorie sandwich/wrap on the menu). I've heard the italian sandwich was great as well but have yet to try it! I also do like their breakfast foods; the classic sandwich with sausage is delicious. Next time you're in for a smoothie, be sure to try some food as well! :-) read more

First of all I LOVE their smoothies they are great tase good my issue was just the service. I have a closer Tropical smoothie but its small and this place was bigger and a great setup. Yesterday I had received in the mail, new tropical smoothie coupons. So of course I took my kids to go get some smoothie because they love it and we go there a lot. As soon as I got to the counter to order my smoothie while holding my coupon. I was ordering the smoothie and had let the cashier know that I had a coupon. I hear mumbling in the back and up come a gentlemen without looking at the coupon tell me that I can't use it. I had asked "why?" And he said that it was no good it's old. I told him I had just received it in the mail then he tells a lady in the back that "it's a new coupon..." I assume she must be a manger or owner. Without apologizing for being so rude with me and abrupt I just ignored the issue. So then the cashier a young boy continues to take my order. The boy had rung me up for an amount that didn't add up with the coupon. I asked the boy is he sure if it was correct, he said "yes." I then asked for the recipe and sat down and calculated the amount. The amount was incorrect so I went back to the counter received our smoothie and told the boy the amount wasn't right. So he stared at the screen trying to figure it out and then the lady who I think is in charge comes up with an attitude asking "what's going on." I sat quietly while they try figure it out, she then tells him to that he was suppose to press some button instead of the other then he walks away while she corrects it. Not one moment did she great me or asked you know "may I help you" or any kind of customer service at all. She then gets the correct change puts it on the counter and walked to the back. Even my kids thought the lady was mad and mean. If she was in charge she did not have any customer service at all and apparently her employees take after her and its sad because I have a closer tropical smoothie to me butt I drive their because I like the setup. I work in customer service in fact I use to work in a smoothie store as well in Hawaii. So I would think there be better service like "\I'm sorry ma'am how may I help you, what seems to be the problem or I apologize for the inconvenience we will square this out for you just give us a minute. Instead of ignoring the customer did me wrong then put the money on the counter and walk away. So overall this is a long complaint, yes but my trip to Tropical Smoothie was disappointing and ruined my day completly. Now I use to live in Hawaii and worked at a Planet Smoothie that tase very much like this and thats why I love their smoothies but the customer service here was just wrong and in Hawaii customer service is everything but then again thats everywhere so its just my experience. If anyone wants to go then I hope you'll have a better customer service then mine.. and the smoothie ofcourse is good. read more

Great staff and great customer service. I have never had a issue with Tropical Smoothie located right by Home Depot they always treat tthe customers with respect and are very professional. You can also call in and pick up your order if you are in a rush. The Smoothies are also great. read more

i had the acai smoothly and it had a weird artificial blueberry taste. half the price of robecks but not the same quality.
