Been so long since I've eaten here. The portions are more than I remember and the prices are pretty good. I got the Caribbean Jerk Chicken wrap. I was surprised how heavy it was but also relieved because I was starving!!! I'm a puss when it comes to spicy foods and this wrap had me clearing my throat & my nose running. Hope the nice folks there didn't think I had COVID!!! Aside from being more spicy than I like it was absolutely delicious and filling. Glad to have a place to eat healthy without breaking the bank. I have finally found a place with micro-greens served in salads and sandwiches in the South! No iceberg lettuce remarks from me! Tropical Smoothie Cafe is pentultimate for smoothies, sandwiches and salads. Oh my! Was I in health food heaven! I haven't seen acai,goji or blueberries all in one place since leaving S.F. on my travels. The smoothies form the back-bone of their menu. I had the blueberry,almond,whey and acai. Rocking and Rolling! The Turkey Bacon and Ranch sandwich was good but I could've just kept ordering smoothies off the menu and been fine. (Must try the Green Tea ones.) Next time..perhaps this evening, I will get the micro green salad and munch happily on something tasty and not..well, iceberg lettuce-bland. Thumbs up! read more

I'm assuming this chain follows corporate rules. So this review would be for all. Why are you adding sugar to all smoothies? There is enough natural sugar in fruit and juice. And it tastes better without that extra sugar. Your customers are presumably there for a healthier alternative, so give them what they want instead of helping with the obesity epidemic in this country. read more

The food is pretty good, the kale slaw is great. HOWEVER.... eating here means having to brave an abhorrent customer service experience by completely indifferent staff. In the past, I figured it was the trade off for the food. But, we've reached a point where I have a negative experience every time I try to eat here, enough's enough. Last night I tried to call in an order, and was asked if I could wait on hold. Before even answering, I was put on hold, which consisted of just putting the receiver down on the counter. I was then treated over the next 5-6 minutes to listening to the complete orders of the next 4 patrons. When the ordering stopped, and I heard a blender cue up, I realized that I had been forgotten, and the person who had answered the phone had left to prepare those 4 other orders I had overheard. By this time, I was at the store. I walk in, still on the phone, and tell the ladies at the blender that I had been left on hold. One of girls shrugged, and said " I forgot. Sorry" (her tone indicated she was not in the least bit affected). She walked over to the cash, huffed, jabbed at the cash register and said "What did you want?" The complete indifference exhibited by this cashier in this experience is characteristic of the other experiences I have had by the staff at this location. I called during business hours to speak to the manager, Heather, and she was just as unaffected and insincere as her staff had been the night before. The food is good, but I won't give my money to a business who doesn't deem their customers worthy of basic care and respect. read more

The food and smoothies are tasty and healthy, but the down side of tropical smoothly are their prices. Their prices are way too high!

So I'm not a person to leave reviews..in fact, this is the first review I have ever left about an establishment but I felt it was something that needed to be addressed. I want to start by saying that I love tropical smoothie and the food Itself was great as always but the manager on duty, Nyah was anything other than great... for one she was very unpleasant and did not speak a single word or smile to anyone during my visit. On top of that she was chewing her gum and blowing bubbles in the kitchen.. WHILE making our smoothies. Coming from a customers perspective that was very gross to see a manager making our food chewing her gum with her mouth open and blowing bubbles. I don't have to work in a restaurant to know how unsanitary that is. Again, I LOVE tropical smoothie and I will come back I just felt this was an issue that needed addressed. read more

Tropical Smoothie has recently discontinued their fountain drinks (ice, free refills, etc.) in favor of selling bottled drinks (or smoothies) with meals. The food quality is adequate to good, but the absence of any fountain drinks (iced tea, Coke zero, Coke, anything???) is a deal breaker. The only bottled tea offered is sweet, and bottled soft drinks never taste the same as the fountain versions, plus the inability to obtain refills. Presumably this is a cost cutting measure, but the change, plus the reduction in choices of chips to a few odd brand choices, is enough to send us elsewhere. read more

To be fair I am pretty sure I have the fast food curse. I have had people bring me a smoothie from here every now and then and tey have all been awesome. I go in by myself and it was terrible. The service wasn't rude, but not very helpful. I asked if their smoothies had milk and he answered with "some of them" I asked which wouldn't have any and he shrugged. So I took a shot, the one I ordered happened to have milk in it. So I paid 5 bucks and gave my sister a nice present. I don't think I will go back to this particular one without someone with me who knows the menu better than I do. read more

I have to rant for just a moment. I work in the restaraunt industry, and so I can recognize when a customer is being out of line. I do not like contributing to "the customer is always right" mentality. However, I am really dissapointed with my experience at TSC of Conway. Apparently my order that I have always gotten from there is no longer alloud to be made... I was told that the wrap I wanted was off the menu and the new management would no longer allow it to be sold. The smoothie i always get was not on the menu ( tropi-colada....the pina colada flavored smoothie. A.k.a. one of the most popular smoothie flavors that any respectable smoothie place should carry) so it was not able to be made either. Okay. I understand that its a bit rude to for a customer to assume they can get whatever they want from a restauraunt. If someone did that where I work I would try my best to cater to them but if we don't have it, we simply don't have it. Some might say to tell the customer to go somewhere else, but you lose their buisness. The thing is, I have been coming to this location for years. YEARS. And I am a person of habit. I like what I have always gotten from there. Now there is new management involved, and it is my understnading that even though they have the ingriedents they are just not allowed to make these things.. I just do not get that. You guys want my money or not? To me it comes off as being run by a corporate mentality that makes things black or white. If you want customers, and returning customers, it is important that you are able to cater to those gray areas. You are serving humans not robots. Anyways, the food is still good. It always has been. And i have no complaints about that. But . I want to know why it is the management thinks this way. read more
