We all know what to expect from Marble Slab... Great flavors, great selection, great service! My first visit wasn't the best, but we've grown from that point! During my first trip to this location, I walked in wanting a root beer float (of course) only to be told that their soda fountain was down and the repair couldn't be scheduled until the following day. BOO HISS! Since my initial tragedy-stricken visit, we've been on great terms. My root beer and "sweet cream" collaboration has been on point! It was close to 90 today and my son and I had cool cravings so we headed over to Marble Slab Creamery to check out the desserts. Oh yea, there were quite a few hot families w/their kids getting ice cream or frozen yogurt. I got the frozen vanilla yogurt w/fresh blueberries and vanilla granola topping to stay close to my alt-style and my son got Raspberry Caramel Swirl ice cream. We both eschewed the delicious looking flavors of waffle cones for cups. All together it was a bit over $9 but the flavors melded together perfectly. They also have decadent-looking cookies and cakes as well. The best thing about Marble Slab is that they give you a club card to stamp. When you've bought five ice creams/yogurts, you get a free one! It's well worth a visit here as the South's summer heats up! read more

Have been to marble slab many times and tonight was the first time I ever had terrible service. Ordered a chocolate malt and clearly the guy making it was new as he was asking one of the girls how to do it. When he gave it to me it was literally as runny as chocolate milk, and I told him that it wasn't right. He looked like he didn't know what to say and looked at the main girl for help. I tilted it for her and told her it was as thin as chocolate milk and wasn't right. She said "it's because our ice cream is fresh and just how it is" then went back to what she was doing. At this point the guy did offer to put more ice cream in it but I was done. I tossed it on my way out and if this is the new service they provide I will go elsewhere. All they had to do was fix an obvious mistake and I would have been happy. read more

This was our first visit. My spouse had the homemade pistachio and added Heath bar in a waffle cone. My child had the blue Oreo in a waffle cone. I had the homemade coffee ice cream mixed with Oreo cookies in a cup. We all enjoyed our flavors. The service was fast. There were several customers there but the two ladies got everyone's orders filled in a hurry. Great customer service which is hard to find right now. We will be back soon! read more

I love Marble Slab but I don't recommend this location. My husband and I came at 9:50 (which I know is 10 minutes before closing, but still plenty of time to order). We knew exactly what we wanted so it shouldn't have taken long anyways. The blonde girl behind the counter glared at us when we came in, muttered under her breath and even said to her coworker out loud how they were closing soon. She under-portioned my order and made both of us feel very unwelcome. We were out of there by 9:56 and we do not plan to come back to this place if that is how they are going to treat their customers. I could understand if we came in right at 10:00 but if the store is open and you have enough time to get your food and get out before closing time then you shouldn't be treated ugly for giving them your business. She was complaining about being tired from working an 8 hour shift that day...try working a 12 hour shift in health care then coming in to experience that kind of attitude. read more

I very rarely leave a bad review anywhere and try to be understanding of service workers, as I am one. But I just had the worst encounter with a middle aged white woman worker (at 3pm on 1/18/20). I went to marble Slab with my girlfriend and we both ordered regular size milkshakes,which is all I get when I go here and know what they look like and also pointed at the display cup on the counter when I ordered it. The woman then proceeded to make a child size milkshake for both of us, insisting it was a regular. She didn't add whipped cream to either, mine was in a regular cup size, but not all the way full. My girlfriends was in a "kids" cup but didn't have a lid that would fit on it which makes me think it was a water cup. when we were checking out we were charged for a regular size while the woman continued to insist she knew what she was doing. I didn't want to get in a fight with her so I paid and left but I'm very disappointed in my visit. read more
