Great Service! First time here. Came in around 12:45pm (weekday). The store wasn't very busy, there were just a few people eating. The cashier quickly greeted me, I ordered the Paradise Point smoothie, paid and sat down. Within 3 minutes, the man who made my smoothie walked over and brought it to my table. Very nice touch! I came on a busy Saturday during lunch time and it took over 30 minutes for my order of one smoothie to be made. The three employees on shift were overwhelmed by the number of orders. It seemed only one was experienced enough to be juggling both register and making drinks while the other two staff members were slowly preparing food. Shoutout to Kat (the aforementioned register/smoothie maker). Although all the customers were being patient and understanding of the wait, she handled a very stressful environment professionally. She was making smoothie after smoothie alone while greeting customers with a smile, sorting through orders and reassuring waiting patrons that their orders were being worked on as she reached them, and manning register, all under pressure. Management needs to give this girl better back up on busy days like the weekends, and a good raise! I can't give a good rating due to the inadequate staffing and having to come back to work late because of the wait. The three stars of this review all go to Kat's perseverance and the smoothie she made me. Way to go! read more

This is one of my favorite smoothie stops. I like the summer seasonal drinks and the bowls, Anything with Nutella is amazing. I've recently started trying their wraps and I haven't been disappointed yet. The pesto one is so good! The dining area is clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoy! read more

Honestly it wasn't the worst but it seems to be understaffed which makes me sad for the one girl that was working. When I walked in there wasn't even anyone to be seen. The smoothie was really yummy as always with TSC. The chicken flatbread was delicious. The trash can was so full that there was trash on the ground all around it, it should've been taken out more then two hours previously. As someone who has worked in the fast food service industry some things could definitely been done to increase quality. I got my smoothie relatively fast, however it seemed as if it was supposed to be one employee on smoothies and another on food. Since there was only one person up front, it took awhile for my sandwich to be made because the girl working had to make all the smoothies in the queue before moving to food. read more

Had a good first time experience on a week day when there was no on inside. But today on a Saturday, they were too busy to help me or take my order. The place had several people inside waiting for their smoothies & eating, but I was the only one at the counter waiting to order. Three people were busy working making smoothies & food, but not one acknowledged me, looked at me or seem to even see me. This location was new for me. Same flavor so it is still a great smoothie place!! Always get the Chia Banana Boost! YUM!! So I would have given 5 stars but.... The guy making the smoothie never put the mask on his face. Only on the chin while making smoothies which was a bit disappointment. We do still have to be careful with covid. I am giving this location 1 star because I called ahead of time to confirm that masks were required at this location. The boy on the phone said yes, and then the boy who brought out the food was not wearing a mask. Just tell the truth. I am perfectly fine avoiding businesses who choose not to enforce masks, but don't say you do then put me at risk because of your lies. The smoothies were good but the chicken pesto flatbread was more flatbread than anything else and the meat quality in the ultimate club sandwich was disappointing. Tropical smoothie Cafe is the best smoothie chain in Dallas in my opinion. Smoothie King is it's only chain competitor that I see and they are not as good and more expensive. Plus the food is actually pretty good considering it's a smoothie place. I've had their flatbread deals before and I was pleasantly surprised. The sunset sunrise is a must have for a "Tropical" feel. The kale and apple slaw is a must try and almost hidden side item on the menu as the chips are presented on the shelf. My go to are the flatbreads which always satisfies my appetite. The staff, especially Joe, are friendly and engaging. read more

I am so glad Tropical Smoothie is here in DFW. This is so reminiscent of my time living in Florida for me. I saw a location near the Colony and when searching exactly where it was located, I found one even closer to home in Frisco! They have a variety of sandwiches, wraps and even have flatbreads. I ordered the super green caesar wrap and it was pretty good. Chicken with romaine, kale & spinach blend, shredded parmesan, tomatoes, parmesan crisps & caesar dressing. I'll say that I didn't tasted anything that would tell me parmesan crisps were in it but did taste the cheese. It comes with a side and there are a few options like chips, fresh fruit and kale and apple salad. I also ordered a sunrise sunset smoothie as this was really why I wanted to come here and it was amazing and exactly how I remembered it. I read the other reviews before mine and think this is worth a shot. If I were served dressing that tasted sour or a soggy sandwich, I would give it back so they had a chance to correct it. I went for lunch on a Friday and they weren't very busy but service was very slow. I'll be keeping this in mind if I were in a hurry, I'd pick somewhere else. read more

Great place for vegans! The smoothies are amazing, and they have lots of vegan add ins. Most of their food can be made plant based. Either take off the chicken or swap the chicken with plant based "meat" (I think it's called "beyond chicken") and take off any cheese or dairy or egg based dressings. I'm not sure if every location carries the plant based "meat", but it was an option at the locations I've been to. Just ask them. read more

I frequent other Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations daily. They are usually really busy but super efficient and fast and processing orders and at the same time engaging the guests. This location needs a babysitter. The staff seems poorly trained and more concerned getting their friends orders done than following any type of order. It was a slow day in store but still took me 20+ minutes for one smoothie as I watched them serve people multiple items with smoothies and food and to go orders that all came in before me. When I asked simply why I got skipped, I got a dear in the headlights stare with no explanation. Awful service. This location should be embarrassed. Cool to take care of your friends but not while compromising other guests. I will not come to this location again. Disappointed. read more

I order from Tropical Smoothie all the time at various locations. This location is very inconsistent. I order the exact same thing every time and it never tastes the same at this location. This place was a huge disappointment today. They gave my order to the wrong person, and when I tried to explain that my family doesn't eat pork and that my order was made incorrectly they spoke over me on more then one occasion. Not only that the lady that was speaking over me was rude and dressed innaproperatly with very short shorts. The manager was told no bacon and proceeded to just open the sandwich and take the bacon off the sandwich so he didn't have to make me another. I'm seriously so upset right now for the lack of consideration and for the lack of hospitality we will never come back again. Not to mention they were messing other orders up as well. The chicken Cesar wrap was soggy and covered in a sour Cesar sauce. The cheese quesadilla was hard as a rock on the outside and the cheese wasn't melted on the inside. Not sure how they cooked it- but it was terrible. The 3 smoothies we purchased were not blended enough and tasted like pure sugar. Normally tropical is good at fulfilling my instructions- except for today. I was so accustomed to not checking but after eating I found out the cheese and ranch was put in. Really disappointed. Although the food and smoothies were amazing, the employees weren't. One in particular who's name tag read Triniti was one of the rudest people who has ever served me. She didn't smile at me like some of her fellow co workers did and she seemed irritated to have to take my order.
