Loved the fresh smoothie made from real ingredients. The smoothie was the blend of the freshest fruits. Me and my friend ordered a Chia Banana smoothie, and Sunshine smoothie. The Chia smoothie comes with a banana, chia, and peanut butter, and is one of the creamiest smoothie I have ever tasted. The sunshine smoothie was very light and refreshing. Also, every Friday during this summer, they offer Sunshine smoothie free of charge if you wear flip flops to the cafe, to raise charity for cancer patients. We were looking for something vaguely healthy and quick so we stopped by here on our way through the area on 76. Menu is simple. Not a million choices of sizes and things so it was easy to choose what to get. Prices are reasonable. Smoothies are quite large. And it was delicious! Not overly sweet, not full of ice. Used to be a nice location but something happened with the management. I hadn't been in for a while since I moved out of the area, but my husband and I stopped in this past weekend when we running errands in Harrisburg. This is NOT the tropical smoothie I remember. From the moment you walk in it just seems off...The walls are bare, there's an eerie silence except for people ordering (no background music like other locations) and the people who took our order were very unfriendly. We both ordered Totally Turkey Wraps and smoothies and when we got them, again something seemed off. Most locations wrap them in paper with the tropical smoothie logo and cut them in half. Ours were just put in a basket whole with some lettuce on the side. (for a garnish was my best guess) One bite into my wrap and I instantly regretted it. What I thought was an over ripe tomato, turned out to be a piece of plastic that looked like an earbud from a headphone in my wrap! Husband took the wrap and earbud to the manger and was met with "oh just a sec..." while we went to look around in the back to see where it came from! We got out money back and threw the rest of the food out. Steer clear! I'm not sure what happened but this place isn't what it used to be. I'd opt for their friendlier location in Lancaster. I went back in line and got the Island Green smoothie; one of their top sellers. The turkey sandwich was good; but hardly any avocado. The avocado was more like a thin spread; like how mustard is served on bread - very thin. The island green smoothie was great! No clue on all of the ingredients - check the website. My boyfriend and I get to the Hershey/Harrisburg area once a month or so for Bears games, and as this is fairly close to Giant Center and fairly quick, it seems like a good option. Tropical Smoothie has sandwiches, wraps, salads, and smoothies. Vegans and vegetarians can get Beyond Meat strips for no extra charge on any chicken dish. And a number of the smoothies are dairy-free, so that's good. The first time I was there, though, we got our wraps long before our smoothies--which sort of defeats the purpose. The second time, the smoothies arrived first. The Blimey Limey is just delicious. Both times I got the Thai "Chicken" wrap. It has a bit of a kick to it, so you will want something to drink while you're eating it. All wraps and sandwiches come with your choice of chips (that you select from a rack near the register) or fruit. It's not my favorite, but I'd go back again--or to another Tropical Smoothie. read more

During this freakishly warm Feb weather, I was the search for something cool and refreshing while shopping. I stopped in here and saw a line which is always a good sign. I ordered the Blueberry Bliss which was okay but tasted like mostly ice instead of the smoothie consistency that I imagined. I can't remember the name of the one my husband got but it's the first one on the list. It contained strawberries, pineapples and orange or mango. He liked his and his was more of a smoothie taste. I liked his more than mine. The price of our smoothies were kind of high but the cups were pretty large. I wish they had smaller versions so you're not stuck with a large smoothie you didn't care for and a large price tag. Overall, this location was okay. It could've been a little tidier and maybe 1 extra person helping making smoothies. I would probably only return if I had a coupon. The wraps I tried where the Thai and buffalo. My main complaint with them was they were messy and did not seem as healthy as I hoping for when I ordered a wrap. The food overall is given four stars for being what it is. It is a chain that is just as much take out as it is a sit down. The reason for the last removal of a star is I don't feel like a wrap, smoothie, and chips should cost $11. Also the workers always seem rude. I stopped by after an emotional early morning doctor appointment and the girls were AMAZING. They recommended what they had a special on that day and helped me pick a smoothie. Within minutes, I was feeling a hundred times better. The chicken pesto flatbread is delicious and I highly recommended it. And the peanut butter cup smoothie is so delicious, I love the light banana flavor. They have a very clean and well kept location.
