I'm not the kind of person who usually falls for viral trends, but I could not resist the allure of sushi tacos, the likes of which I had never seen before. They were exactly as advertised, super crunchy with a nori shell that did not have an overpowering seaweed flavor. The taco fillings were incredibly fresh and flavorful. My companions really enjoyed their poke bowls and Korean corn dogs. We tried a couple of donuts, which were also excellent. I was excited to try this place from their sushi tacos online. Those tacos did not disappoint. Super fresh and loaded, plus two tacos cost as much as one sushi roll would be while being more filling. The cans they have for their drinks are super cute and my lemonade was pretty good. However, the strawberry cheesecake smoothie was disappointing especially because it looked so good. If you've never had a mochi doughnut before do yourself a favor and swing by. This place is way more than the mochi donuts, but it is what most people walk in the door for. Mochi Mama also has Panko fried items. Things from a jumbo mozzarella sticks served with marinara, or an awesome corn dog, or you can get a half and a half half corn dog and half cheese stick. If you don't like fried foods, then why not assemble your own poke bowl. The ingredients are fresh, everything is cooked, and assembled right in front of you. And I can't say enough about the drink selection, which they can for your convenience. The seating is limited and the donuts do go quickly so if you come late in the evening, then you may not have the full diversity of donuts you would have when they first open. The atmosphere, the quality of food, and the taste make up for anything they're lacking, if you want to swing by for an evening treat. I recommend that everyone at least stop by try and if you fall in love well then I'm happy for you. read more

I first discovered Moki Mama's when my boss brought me one of their donuts -- it looked like a teething ring, and even after sitting for hours it was still unbelievably fresh. That left such an impression on me that my girlfriend and I finally went to try the place out for ourselves this past weekend, and I'm glad we did. I had originally seen online that a dozen donuts was around $36, which felt a little steep. But when we got there, I realized it was actually more affordable than I thought. I picked up three donuts for $10 and a corndog for $6.50, and honestly, the quality made it well worth the price. Everything tasted amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive as the food. The young guy who helped us was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience a good one. That kind of customer service goes a long way, and it definitely made us feel welcome. All in all, this is an excellent spot. This place is set up very well: bright, happy, comfortable space. They have a self-service kiosk and a regular line. I did the line b/c I always like dealing with people, especially on my first visit to a place. The menu has a large selection of drinks: teas, smoothies, various lemonades and boba; plus, interesting toppings to complement your beverage. I went with the Hawaii poke bowl and didn't change anything about how it comes. It was $16.50 for this, but it includes 3 types of proteins and plentiful veggies and sauces. The portion was more than generous, and I will get a second meal out of it. Every time I stirred things around, I found a new component to mix in. The flavor was very good, but a little more powerful soy/salt flavor than I would like. Next time, I'll do a build-your-own poke bowl and choose a different sauce. This location serves a mix of poke bowls , boba drinks , mochi donuts and korean corndogs. I usually get a poke bowl which is a great deal as its much better quality than a rice bowl at chipotle. The donuts are a solid 4/5. I usually enjoy the create your own bowl with wasabi salmon and spicy shrimp loaded with toppings . Service is quick and helpful , staff seemed to be trained well and always welcoming at the location. Has a nice ambiance inside with grass walls and nice tvs with the menu . This is a wonderful addition to the restaurants nearby especially since there are limited good asian restaurants around here! The mochi donuts are delicious and they always have so much new interesting flavors every time i visit! The interior is very cute and vibey, with beautiful flowers hanging all around, nice music, and a good amount of seating. We hosted a school meet and greet event here and the manager Shou and her staff were more than welcoming and very sweet! It's also a very cute place for hanging with friends or even going on a date! Our fav drinks are the thai tea, strawberry lychee yakult, and the brown sugar milk tea (but this is on the sweeter side!). The poke is very large and well worth the price, especially if you build your own bowl (just make sure to get the poke order form early so you have time to fill it out). The potato korean hot dog is also a good snack to have and is very krispy but id recommend ordering it extra krispy if you like it extra crunchy. Overall, all the food tastes good and im so happy to have a great boba/asian food place in PA. read more

After the 1st visit, I've been craving to have a 2nd visit! Thank gosh it wasn't as crowded as before! For today, I got myself a poke bowl that includes salmon, ahi tuna, green onions, tempura flakes, furikake, yum yum sauce, and the shoyu sauce. It costed me around $13-14 for 2 proteins which is not bad for poke! I thought I wasn't going to get mochi donuts either, but of course I got another half dozen because they're addicting! I was surprised that they even open sooner than I thought (like a silent grand opening). Overall, the place exceeded my expectations. The static was very nice and girly. I got myself the poke bowl and brown sugar milk tea (both of them surprisingly filled me up). The poke bowl was really good as well as the brown sugar milk tea (even though I wish the brown sugar syrup taste stayed throughout instead of hitting you and the first sip and then disappearing). I tried a piece of mochi donut from my sister. My opinion on that is if you are not someone that goes for raw foods or doughy texture, the donuts might not be ideal for you because they were pretty doughy compared to Mochinut. Went on soft opening day and everything was amazing. Drinks were good (I got the Thai tea and their specialty lemonades) and mochi donuts were delicious. For those who are unfamiliar with mochi donuts they are made with rice flour so their texture is a little bit more chewy than regular donuts. It's so good! And they have so many flavors to choose from. Because it was soft opening day the team was working out some kinks but they served everyone with kindness and care. I ordered at the kiosk which was an easy and fast experience. Love the cafe vibes. There's not really anything like this in the area. It's very fun, clean, and trendy. Loved everything about it! I visited Mochi Mama as soon as I heard it was opened. I am so happy they brought mochi donuts to the area, since I typically drive to MD/DC for them. The yakult drinks are so good and I enjoyed the Korean corn dogs too. So happy they offer halal options too! When I heard this place was opening up in Harrisburg, I was incredibly excited. I'd had mochi donuts and Korean corn dogs before, (in NYC), but I've never been able to find them locally. We went to their first soft opening weekend, and we were hooked. We've been back several times since. The restaurant itself is warm and cozy, with several tables and a nice wall with a neon sign to take pictures next to. The people who work there seem to genuinely love their job, and I have always had pleasant interactions with them. The food is phenomenal. If you've never had a Korean corn dog before, I would suggest a half cheese/half meat corn dog with the potatoes on the outside. It's very delicious-and surprisingly filling! But leave room for a donut or two... The mochi donuts are worth making the trip just by themselves. I have yet to successfully make a trip without picking up at least half a dozen to take home with me. Our favorite flavors are the glazed, churro, strawberry shortcake and cookies & cream. We also really enjoyed their new flavors, Peaches & Cream and Birthday cake, when we tried them on our last visit. The drinks are good too. I finally found my favorite drink during my last trip there- a Peach-Mango Yakut Refresher (Yakult is a yogurt based drink with Probiotics) with strawberry popping boba and mango popping boba. read more

Today was my first experience with mochi mama. I had been wanting to try it since it's opened but never had time. i had a long day at work and just wanted to get a boba and a donut from here. i go in and order, first of all there was barely anyone in there and my order took about 20 minutes even tho there's barely any customers and like 8 crew members. then once i finally get my order and go home not only does my boba taste funky and grainy i also realize there's not BOBA in my BOBA tea. and to top it all off my donut was stale. 0/10 extremely disappointing will not be back. read more

Only downside was it was a bit chaotic- not because of it actually being busy but moreso because it's very loud and you can barely hear what the staff is saying at the register. At one point the staff member at the register visibly needed help and asker her co-workers if they could (all of whom were standing there talking to each other) and they all responded no. First, let me say the results of my visit were exactly as I anticipated, a chewy delicious mochi donut and refreshing drink and yummy Korean corn dog...but...I had to dock a star for the service. I know they are NEW but I felt after reviewing others a 4 star instead of 5 wouldn't be outrageous of me to give. We walked in and it was jam packed, and I chuckled seeing the sign that said "occupancy 20" because there was way more than that in there. It was a cluster of people all over and we were confused. We made our way to "line starts here" and there was no one at the register, I looked to my left and saw a self ordering kiosk, and I was like, "that makes sense? its 2024 and we do this now" so I went over and ordered my 3 items in anticipation. Meanwhile, I perused the crowd and saw alot waiting with receipts in hand so I knew it would be a wait. We stood awkwardly by the door and to my dismay several patrons came AFTER we did and ordered at the register which now had an employee manning. They all were served before we were. We waited OVER an hour. I quickly nabbed a seat that was vacated and my husband continued to stand awkwardly in the center. I finally had my number called to at least get my donuts at the 40 minute or so mark, and I thought surely my drink and corn dog would be next. Another 10 minutes and I hated to ask but the girl went and checked and my drink had not even been MADE yet. I watched someone after me finish his last donut and sip of his drink, and leave. I understand it is new and fresh, the employees were really pleasant but an hour for 3 things? There needs to be a better organization of prioritizing customers. I have worked in food service, I know this. That all being said, I was totally thrilled with the foods and drink I got, but next time I might call ahead or order and come back later. I hope this improves because I would like to bring my children and friends. Also, how would they know if the donuts are all sold if they are still selling them on the touch screen?? We were so excited to check this place out for weeks, they did not disappoint! Their blueberry and strawberry mochi donuts were lovely, we loved their texture as we know they are not like traditional donuts. Their drinks were so tasty, I loved the strawberry lemonade and my boyfriend really enjoyed the peach passion. They were sweet (not overly) and flavorful and in fun containers. Staff were friendly and helpful. The interior is so pretty and stylish, and they did a good job using their space since it's in a smaller location. Can't wait to try more! read more
