It is an OK place which we have visited when in the Redstone shopping center. I think that this is a relatively new operation, as the service is painfully slow. Order and wait. You will feel lucky when you get your order. Their menu is a good one and they are capable of making a number of interesting beverages. Lots of seating at tables or at counters. Hope that management gets their act together better than it is. read more

I was so excited to try this place as it's in such a convenient location and I've been craving a good smoothie. I ordered online and got there after my pickup time. The whole order wasn't ready and I had to wait an additional 5+ minutes. They were also out of regular sized cups so I was given 4 small instead of 2 regular. I was by myself and it was difficult to carry 6 small cups. When I looked at the detox island green smoothie I received, it looked like a slushie. I tried one sip and there was no flavor. I had to bring it home and add date syrup and xylitol to get it to taste somewhat tolerable. I believe if management would make some changes, the store could be a lot better. The health score was not visible but the inside of the establishment was very neat and clean. All workers were wearing masks and gloves. They were all very friendly and spoke to me as soon as I walked in. They were familiar with the menu too. The food was prepared in front of me and my smoothie was Oh So Good!! My wrap was neatly prepared and the ingredients all tasted fresh. The kale apple salad tasted a little tart but good. I think the base might be yogurt but it was tasty for a hot summer day. Update part 2. After a week I finally was able to reach the "manager" last night who told me to come in today for a full refund and that he would be there 10-4. I went at 11:45 and was told he is not there today. So he is a liar as well as a trash manager. Good luck to anyone who continues to go this bottom of the barrel location. Update. This location is poorly managed and I've yet to receive a refund for food that I never received. After ordering online, I went to the location at 11:45 am and the door was locked. Knocked and called the location and was unable to get in contact with any workers. Waited 15 mins before having to leave. Tried to contact the store multiple times after but phone rings with no one picking up. I even showed up and asked for a manager, but they weren't available. A great place to pick up a smoothie, wrap or quick sandwich. There a too many smoothie and drink options to list here but I choose three different ones - kiwi/strawberry, mango and green drink. The kiwi/strawberry was the best ! There is some seating here also if you want to order and hangout. The cafe is tucked away in a strip mall. read more

Great smoothie but this place is a JOKE. Last month I pre-ordered a smoothie at 7:05am. I got to the store a few minutes later and doors were locked. It opens at 7am. I waited til 7:20 and had to leave for work - no smoothie received but it was paid for. I called several times throughout the morning to communicate that I hadn't received my smoothie and please credit my account - no answer, no refund. I then emailed them, no response. It's been weeks and I never received a refund or haven't heard a word from any of my attempts. It's the least possible professional thing and embarrassing that they refuse to communicate on this issue in any way. I recently visited a friend in Fort Mill and we grabbed takeout at Hazelnuts Creperie. We decided to take things to the next level by grabbing some smoothies at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Both spots are located in a new shopping center along with several other restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a juice bar and smoothie chain. I've been to a couple of their locations including one in Winston-Salem and one in Richmond. There are two things that I really like about Tropical Smoothie Cafe. One, they have food beyond just acai bowls. They offer a bunch of sandwiches and other hot food. While I haven't actually tried any of it, I appreciate that they offer it. Second, the size of their smoothies is pretty big compared to other smoothie spots I've been to which is always a plus. I went with a superfood smoothie this time around and I've liked every smoothie I've ever tried here. Now, if only they had some locations near me in Houston! read more

Very disappointed in this location now. I actually used to be employed by this location and just very upsetting with how i was treated today in the store. Went in for food and drink with my wife and there were only 2 people in the store. Ordered my food and smoothies and took 10 minutes for my simple wrap and 16 minutes for 2 smoothies. To top it off my wrap was the completely wrong wrap and didn't notice until i was home at my kitchen table eating. Not a big deal, the guy inside was really nice about it and allowed me to substitute, so no worries. Just went there with my family. Spent almost $60 on dinner and smoothies. My sandwich was not rung up but I didn't catch this as the girl quickly went through what we ordered. We had little ones so I was trying to make sure their food was correct. When our bag was thrown on the table my sandwich was not there so I inquired about this. Second time ordering here and this is why I don't tip until I get my food - ordered through the app- they what you to tip before even knowing what kind of service you are getting. I ordered the Thai chicken wrap twice and ZERO sauce! So dry without it and I was sooo looking forward to this meal as I waited extra long for my son to get home from school to order so he could also order and eat with me. I thought maybe I hit a wrong button bc if anything I typically order extra Thai peanut sauce just in case. I didn't do it this time bc when I order at Tega Cay location, they NEVER leave it off... but looked at my order/emailed detailed receipt to make sure I didn't hit a wrong button while ordering and nope! I did NOT accidentally hit no sauce, I guess they just decided themselves I didn't need it. I will take my 20 % (or more sometimes) tips to Tega Cay from now on. This is about my 8th time in the past 7 days of getting a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie. My favorite is the sunshine it's a very tropical and warming flavor. It's a perfect smoothie when it's super hot outside and you need a refresher. Instead of feeling the sunshine on your skin, you can drink it. The staff is super friendly and they helped multiple customers with selecting the perfect smoothie when they were there. I usually come before I head to work, but currently I just finished a softball game and am extremely thirsty. I look forward to returning tomorrow for most likely another sunshine smoothie :) read more

Super sweet and cute gentlemen working! I came in and was greeted promptly. I came up to the register and told them I had a pick up order under my name and the gentleman had it ready and who exactly what my order was. I had placed this online order for takeout on grub hub and for some reason it wasn't letting me do the combo option, so I was annoyed prior, but when I opened my bag they still put in a bag of chips and it made me happy! This was the worst experience I've ever had at a tropical smoothie....we waited 45 minutes for a smoothie and a flatbread. We were told there was no bacon and to pick something else. So we did and ordered a avocado grilled cheese that had NOOOOO CHEESE and a teaspoon of avocado....but then I watched another employee open new pack of bacon to make it for another customer. Smoothies are good but several taste the same - but that is somewhat to be expected when using strong fruits like banana. Only 4 stars as the Cuban wasn't solid and a bit on the pricey side.
