The health score was not visible but the inside of the establishment was very neat and clean. All workers were wearing masks and gloves. They were all very friendly and spoke to me as soon as I walked in. They were familiar with the menu too. The food was prepared in front of me and my smoothie was Oh So Good!! My wrap was neatly prepared and the ingredients all tasted fresh. The kale apple salad tasted a little tart but good. I think the base might be yogurt but it was tasty for a hot summer day. It is an OK place which we have visited when in the Redstone shopping center. I think that this is a relatively new operation, as the service is painfully slow. Order and wait. You will feel lucky when you get your order. Their menu is a good one and they are capable of making a number of interesting beverages. Lots of seating at tables or at counters. I was so excited to try this place as it's in such a convenient location and I've been craving a good smoothie. I ordered online and got there after my pickup time. The whole order wasn't ready and I had to wait an additional 5+ minutes. They were also out of regular sized cups so I was given 4 small instead of 2 regular. I was by myself and it was difficult to carry 6 small cups. When I looked at the detox island green smoothie I received, it looked like a slushie. I tried one sip and there was no flavor. I had to bring it home and add date syrup and xylitol to get it to taste somewhat tolerable. I believe if management would make some changes, the store could be a lot better. A great place to pick up a smoothie, wrap or quick sandwich. There a too many smoothie and drink options to list here but I choose three different ones - kiwi/strawberry, mango and green drink. This store is an embarrassment to the Tropical Smoothie brand. They are always out of items. We just went in to get four smoothies and they didn't have enough supplies to make two of them. I recently visited a friend in Fort Mill and we grabbed takeout at Hazelnuts Creperie. We decided to take things to the next level by grabbing some smoothies at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Both spots are located in a new shopping center along with several other restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a juice bar and smoothie chain. I've been to a couple of their locations including one in Winston-Salem and one in Richmond. There are two things that I really like about Tropical Smoothie Cafe. One, they have food beyond just acai bowls. They offer a bunch of sandwiches and other hot food. While I haven't actually tried any of it, I appreciate that they offer it. Second, the size of their smoothies is pretty big compared to other smoothie spots I've been to which is always a plus. I went with a superfood smoothie this time around and I've liked every smoothie I've ever tried here. Now, if only they had some locations near me in Houston! read more

Just went there with my family. Spent almost $60 on dinner and smoothies. My sandwich was not rung up but I didn't catch this as the girl quickly went through what we ordered. This is about my 8th time in the past 7 days of getting a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie. My favorite is the sunshine it's a very tropical and warming flavor. It's a perfect smoothie when it's super hot outside and you need a refresher. Instead of feeling the sunshine on your skin, you can drink it. The staff is super friendly and they helped multiple customers with selecting the perfect smoothie when they were there. I usually come before I head to work, but currently I just finished a softball game and am extremely thirsty. I look forward to returning tomorrow for most likely another sunshine smoothie :) read more

Super sweet and cute gentlemen working! I came in and was greeted promptly. I came up to the register and told them I had a pick up order under my name and the gentleman had it ready and who exactly what my order was. I had placed this online order for takeout on grub hub and for some reason it wasn't letting me do the combo option, so I was annoyed prior, but when I opened my bag they still put in a bag of chips and it made me happy! This was the worst experience I've ever had at a tropical smoothie....we waited 45 minutes for a smoothie and a flatbread. We were told there was no bacon and to pick something else. So we did and ordered a avocado grilled cheese that had NOOOOO CHEESE and a teaspoon of avocado....but then I watched another employee open new pack of bacon to make it for another customer.
